- Here is leg 2 of our flight to Des Moines. I did not start filming until we were in the air. Iowa City was very, very busy that Friday afternoon and I was focused on getting us up and out so no Take Off. Not a lot happening in this video folks as, once we got going, it was a nice boring cross country.
Below are links to the new LIDAR Altimeter/Gear Warning system that we are going to install at next annual. Yes I know, I have a disease for airplane stuff. :-)

Amazing how smooth it was once you got above the clouds
Love your videos. Bought a PA24-250 myself this spring and absolutely love it. Would you mind sharing how you keep your forward facing camera from blowing out with sunlight? Have one mounted similarly but rarely can get footage out the windscreen other than glare
Hi Jason, I am not 100% sure. I have a filter on it that takes out the Prop, so you can see through it. That has a tint to it, so that may be part of it. I think I adjusted the settings on the camera at one point, but that was years ago and I don't remember which ones. Sorry not much help with this. Mike
@@pipercomanche2506 thanks very much! Again you’re videos have been awesome as I’ve gotten into a groove in my own Comanche
How many hours have you flown in the past 12 months? How many total hours have you flown your entire life?
Last 12 month I'm at 48 hrs, lifetime I would need to go look but I should be just over 750
1st Post: Gimme Jelly Donut!!!
Lol I will give you something.
I have a question, love the videos by the way. I'm 6'3 280lbs and I wanted to know would I hold comfortably in the pilot seats? As I am very interested in the comanche 250.
Hi Omar, Are you long in the legs or torso? If torso, in mine you would run out of headroom. You can remove some padding from the seat to give you a bit, but it will require some work. You might find a plane that someone has already done this. If you are long legged then you might be fine. Best bet is to find a Comanche or Twin Comanche near you and ask if you can sit in it. Mike
@@pipercomanche2506 thanks for the feed back. I am more on the long leg side I believe I have been going to some local airport here around metro atlanta area, however not much luck with seeing one to sit in and get a feel. But this helps alot thank you and I always enjoy your flight videos. Piper owes you some money for being the best comanche sales rep lol 😆
How do you get the altimeter and airspeed indicator on that gopro footage?
The camera that shoots over my shoulder is a Garmin Virb Ultra 30. It has a built in GPS. All the Data is GPS derived. Mike
