  • Hello my friends and glad to be back. This video was made a month ago as you will figure out and my plan is to not get so far behind, going forward.
I am making up WHF squares in thos video along with making a cane mill knife that is different from the ones I have done before. From there, everything gets poured and I announce some hats are now available.

Got to love it when the castings come out good the first time. 🙂

Such hard work! And the difference between a successful pour and a fail is a very small margin.

Good work Sir. Your problems are very similar as with all small enterprises around the World. There is always a lack of something and time is one of them. I happen to struggle with the same issues. Thanks for sharing.

I don’t know what your small enterprise is but I’m sure you can get the use of RUclips to boost your customers.

You could try a presale on merchandise possibly. Then not only would you already have the money, but also know exactly how many to have made. Just an idea. The squares are really nice. I know it's a lot more work than the video makes it look like. Very cool work.

It was really interesting to see your production moulds being used to make the WHF angles with respect to a mould for a one off job. Good looking castings as well. It would be nice to see the casting once it has been removed from the sand and then the cleaned up product. Another great video Clarke. Thanks for sharing!

Nice that the most serious problem was a lot of repeated tappy tappy to coax the cane knife pattern to release 😁.

Hi WHF. Have you ever done a video that explains the process of casting iron? Such as the weights and mixture that goes into the crucible, pouring temp, what happens if you don't stress relieve the part, maybe the best metals that can be melted to cast with, etc?

Very interesting thankyou. You have a lot of skill and patience getting those patterns out! There is an interesting bird sound in the background, it reminded me of the birds you hear singing at the US Masters golf so must be a Southern USA bird? Thanks again from northern England.

Clark what do you do with the risers that you pour on a mold ? Do you ever sell them to individuals?

It appears that this process could be much improved with simple automation devices.
