- Hello my friends. This video is all over the place, and as I explain, this is close to my real world.
I am currently adding filler and sanding existing castings for a vintage greenhouse under restoration, which I will explain in more detail soon.
I also show using the Creality Falcon 2 PRO, the beginning of a new angle block pattern and of course, the Bar Z Summer Bash logo.

I bought a falcon 2 after seeing it on your channel and I’ve had a ball with it. Made toys for kids made engraved switch panel for a friend’s boat. Tons of stuff it can do
That plaque looks outstanding!
Thanks Stan, the final one will look even better, I hope, see you next month👍
Thank You for sharing your awesome thoughts and life with us. Great video. Good to see the building coming around.
Stay safe and healthy.
Of course my wife and mother-in-law decided I was going to drive them to SLC, Utah to see my brother-in-law, same weekend of the Bash! First miss in last 4 years... Sorry to miss you Clark!
Always impressed to see how you overcome difficulty.
Hope you guy's have a very safe trip and thanks Clark my friend....

Looking forward to seeing you again at the Bash. The last time you were there you had just started your channel and we talked for an hour or more and I became your 96th subscriber. Now with almost 30 thousand subs I'm sure you will be busy talking to a lot more people then just me.
Looking great Clarke. Have a safe trip to the west.
Thanks Randy, Keith is going to get tired of me asking "ARE WE THERE YET"
Thanks for sharing Clark
For things like that bash pro shop sign, it might be better to do a double-cut - ie cut the base out of 1/4" wood and then cut the relief/graphics out of 1/8". would get you some nice sharp details without having the laser taking hours to etch the graphics in "raster" mode.
Great video
If you go anywhere near Albuquerque, NM, go to a New Mexican Restaurant named El Pinto. Wonderful sopapilla. Some honey on these make a great dessert.
Good morning Clarke! Pay no attention to the peanut gallery. Thanks for the videos.
Clarke, that wide square is right up my alley. I'd be interested in scooping up one of those as soon as they are available. What bigger sizes do you have in mind?
What ever happened to the longer Rucker straightedges (I know, ask Keith) and the Kilroy machinist's jacks? So many useful castings to make. I know you are way too busy as it is, but you should try to get more products in your online store. It would provide an additional, and maybe more regular, income stream.
Enjoy your time off.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Hooked on your work. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Clark for another great video I find the channel very entertaining and Informative. Have a great weak.
With that amount of lasering I think you'd be pretty well served by upgrading to a CO2-based laser rather than the (relatively) slow diode-based laser. I would expect you to be able to increase the lasering speed by easily 10x by switching to the more powerful tech
That storm on May 9th dropped a tree on my house. No one was hurt.
Nice plaque Clarke! Would like to see how the pattern was made.
I wonder if thinned drywall plaster, applied with paintbrush or just sinking the whole part, would help you with rough patterns. It's easier to sand than bodyfiller and it would also compensate cast shrinkage. Thank you for the video!
Clark, that Bash plaque is going to be sweet. I can't make it this year due to other plans, would have loved meet in person.
You and Keith should have a great time on the road trip. My tomato garden is looking pretty good this year. I'd bring you some If I was there. Maybe next year.
Man you've been busy and those storms are no joke. Be safe and enjoy the adventure 👍
ATB.......
That first failed Bash Pro Shop sign looks like it's giving you the finger. :O
Hey Clark, wouldn't body filler build up quicker than paint when filling those surfaces?
just a thought use that laser to cut plugs for the holes you need to plug might save you some filler... Realy enjoy watching you work
Hope you have a blast at the bash and it's a shame they are messing with your tomatos
One of these years I'll make it down to the bash and say hi. Also I sent you an email about the 6" square. :)
I'm sure you'll get that plaque next time. I know how I'd try it but I would need a wider flask (and to figure out cast iron 😂)
Jeff I will be using a wider one for the 3rd attempt. Tired of burying the flask each time🙄
@@windyhillfoundry5940 go get it!
Surprised you dont grow your own tomatoes, even up in NY we have pretty good luck with them. Need to get some for this year, getting about that time again. I should try some tomato on my sandwich, never thought of that.
Josie just planted tomatoes last week 👍
Great work. Do you make your own foundry sand mix? Thanks Clarke
Don,t forget to stop of Winslow Az
So war has been declared..... 🤪
The Great Tomato War of 2024.
Question, What is Baloney made from. I've never come across it down here in AUS.
Good morning Clarke
Keep up the great work
Great vid Clarke! How could I be put on a waiting list for the 6x6 angle iron?
Thanks for your interest. I will announce these once I proof them out and list them on the store. I want to make sure we have no issues with the machining on these
@@windyhillfoundry5940 thanks it'll look good next to the other angle iron I bought from you.
Morning Clark do you sell off cuts I'm looking for a pour hole cross section 1inch thick and 3 inches across chunk of iron so I can drill holes in it for a project I have
Email me at clarke@windyhillfoundry.com and I'll send you one if you are referring to the pouring basin
Yes I am
You should just grow your own Tomatoes like I do, you have the land for it then you don't have to pay the idiotic store prices for Tomatoes that have been refrigerated and ruined. 👍👍
Hot stuff will find a way to touch bare skin, as any welder knows.
cuttin out the middle man, Mr Rucker
Keith does the straight edges. This is Clark's project he has had in the works for several years that he has talked to me about. Clark is too honest to cheat anybody.
You're underestimating modern technologies. It's not anything you have, but laser scanning could turn that original part into a 3D model and software can both automatically and manually smooth surfaces as well as enlarge by any percentage you wanted, then 3d printing make a new master.
