Corgeut also does an AT homage. They were the first ones on Ali Express doing it, I think. They're decent. Not great. For around $50 you get NH35, 50m WR, butterfly clasp, and...well...passable finishing. You're getting a watch for only about twice the cost of the movement. It will run. It will be relatively accurate. It will look fine. It's probably more watch than $50 should get you. I'd sooner throw $50 into an AddiesDive or SteelDive whatever model over the Corgeut AT homage, based on what they give for the money. For someone who wants AT looks who has a small budget or who isn't like your mum and is known for being really tight, it's an option.
After the experience I had on an Addiesdive (a Willard homage for about £45 that was well finished), then I'd probably agree with you, mate, though bringing mums into it is beyond the pale...
My dude, I swear, at this point I watch your videos for the jokes. 😂 Like, you could do a video about any topics and I would still watch it ❤😂🎉 keep on the amazing work!
The dimensions stated on the product page for the NH35 version of the watch are the same as the dimensions you provided for the PT5000 version. Berny must use the same case for both versions, so the case has to be thick enough for the NH35 movement to fit.
Good show Berny for being able to take the criticisms. Now the bigger question is does their marketing department understand all the Mom Jokes. Ha! Thanks for the great review. I think it’s a great value for what it offers. Not everyone can or wants to pony up for the San Martin.
Just gotta say that I love how you do reviews, I smile at all of them. The fact that we both have a 6.5 inch wrist also helps me out when trying to figure out sizing for watches I may be interested in. I honestly like this Berny, but I think the Phylida AT does a better job. You rock!
Aw, mate, thanks so much for the kind words - that really does mean a lot! I’d really like to try the Phylida, so I might have to pick one up 🤔have you tried one at all yourself?
@@LumePip of course, man! And no, not yet, but they look great. I’m going for a Sugess Daytona as my next watch purchase…maybe that’s a piece you should review soon! 👀
The big Berny logo and floating date window are turn offs for me. I would’ve chosen the more reliable NH35 (maybe avoid the gritty crown?). BUT the nicest thing about this watch is that lovely blue gray dial….looks sublime in your video.
@@LumePip both of them run great. One is an Escapement Time Flieger, and the other is a San Martin titanium SN0111-T-A1. Both stems gritty as heck (and loud when hand-winding), both so far seem unbothered by it functionally.
The San Martin Aqua Terra - SN0113W V2 - is pretty terrafic. I don’t think Berny will get it elegant enough with “BERNY” lettered clumsily across the dial like some kid’s underwear at camp.
I could not find the pt5000 model of this model on Aliexpress. There is only the NH35 movement version of this watch. How can I find the PT5000 model on Aliexpress? can you send me the link ?

@@humos47 No problem at all! I'd say, given the lack of AR coating, a white dial would be my preference, even though this blue is a stunning colour. The problem is it's not visible enough! So my preference would be the white. Let me know how you get on with it! 🤞
@@LumePip I understood you. I generally like the color blue, but since I have more blue watches, I think I will prefer a tiffany blue or, as you say, a white dial. Thank you for your sensitivity and interest.

the 'BERNY' logo is absolutely shocking tbh - otherwise would be a buy for me
Another brilliant review mate. Keep ‘em coming. You make reviewing watches both educational and entertaining/funny. Cheers 🥂
Nice one, John!! Much appreciated 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Love the “in rainbows” poster on the wall !
I want one !

I'm here for "your mom" jokes 😎
I'm here for your mum.
I have an "old" Seagull AT from singapore in 38 mm diameter with ST1612 movement. It´s a slimm and comfortable watch.
Amazing video - professional!!
Great review!

Phylida y corgeut have the same model homage but this moviment is good.
I'm a huge fan of the Aqua Terra. But not really convinced by this one, it's too clunky and the crystal is too reflective.
That's definitely not aqua. Maybe...teal? I don't know. But not aqua.
Great video as always though.
I think it might be a bit too dark for teal but maybe a bit dark for aqua as well! Would need Partridge’s take 😅thanks, Ryan 🙌🏻
Corgeut make one
Is gritty crown just a PT5000 thing? I have two and they’re both like that. It’s disturbing to hand wind them.
You should not wind the pt5000 much as the keyless work will be ruined very easy. Just shake it for half a minute and set the time and use it.
Weird, right?! How do they run? This one is obviously working pretty well but the grittiness is perturbing, like you say 🤔😬

Which lume does the watch have? Swiss or chinese?
Berny don’t say which lume they’re using so I’m going to wager it’s Chinese 👍🏻👍🏻
