Great video! We are both in our 80's and are all about healthy aging. Getting older does have to mean getting sicker. We still strive for a strong body, a calm mind, & a positive outlook. Plant-based for years. Thanks!
I notice a lot of people keep on talking about Okibetonic Secrets. But Im not sure if it is good. Have you ever tried using this popular weight loss method?
@@elvinalauney3826 we have no idea what that is. Neither of us has ever had a weight problem. And we have found that following a wfpb no oil diet allows us to eat as much as we want without gaining weight. As a matter of fact when we eliminated oil we lost 10 lbs ea without dieting!
@TheSophist2007 that is called pseudoscience - this guy is just making money of selling snake oil to people. this is why he targets easy to impress people with terms like "bulletproof diet" - he acts like a fool in this discussion where he is actually matched up with an actual scientist, instead of his usual sheep audience who he can sell his overpriced snake oil supplements. this guy has absolutely no idea what he is doing, IF he was really into helping people he would study medicine or nutrition instead of running around and selling his books he wrote based on his pseudoscience. i like how dr. kahn takes apart his ground beef is good and healthy lies. but how could he change his view now, he would need to take all his books of the market, so he rather sticks to living a lie, promoting coconut oil, IQ increasing coffee and ground fed meat (of course this would be also possible to feed the entire world based of this concept).
Allen Miller Dr. Gregor doesn’t really associate himself with veganism. He promotes a whole foods, plant-based diet because that’s what evidence suggests is the healthiest diet. The doctor in this video says “if the evidence suggested that meat had beneficial affects i would recommend that diet to my patients”, and Gregor is similar. To many of these plant-based doctors it kinda just so happens that a plant based diet is also vegan, but they do it for the health not necessarily ethics :)
Surprised no one told Dave Asprey that not every vegan diet is healthy, he said he tried being vegetarian and raw vegan which is not the recommended diets, it's called Whole food plant based diet which is the healthiest diet out there.
@ UltimaOn It sounds like you were on a 100 per cent coconut diet. Seriously, if you aren't a troll, you need to research what makes a balanced whole food plant based diet. Not just any food which fits the definition.
nope it was around 5-10% fat mainly from avocados and some nuts. Tons of leafy greens, rice, beans and lentils and all kinds of vegtables and mushroms. Edit:oh yea i frogot, also tons of different fruit. All while suplementing with algae omega 3s and taking b12 suplements and vegan suplement pill with all vitamins i am suposed to have.
All I can say, (based on my own experience and my research regarding others who eat as you describe) is that you are the exception to the rule. Did you minimize added oils? Sugar? Vegans have the lowest BMI of any dietary group, including junk food vegans and wfpb vegans averaged together.
All I know is that at age 60, I have NO plaque burden from my CIMT test (carotid artery) done 6 years ago...and I feel like I'm 20...ALL Plants. just saying.
ALL PLANTS have protein....there are MANY plant-strong athletes out there and their numbers are growing...Robert Cheeke.... Torrey Washington...google it...!
I'm 61, mostly carnivore, and also scored zero/excellent on my coronary artery calcium scan. Our ancestors went for months on end without fruit or veg. They were carnivore
I am surprised to see the outlash towards Dave here. Really I thought he came across very well, spoke eloquently, and was trying to find common ground. Kip was very poorly spoken (too upset), knew almost nothing about what he was talking about, and took a shot at Dave every chance he could. He definitely doesn't understand farming. I highly recommend Michael Pollan's books if you want to understand farming, vegetables, and meat. Joel and Dave are friends and have done podcasts together before. They actually live their entire lives in the domain of human health, are well researched, and very professional. Also Kip's idea that we have to consider others first when we personally feel sick is really a toxic idea. To me, it seems important to be healthy and happy, because then the entire world benefits. Your joy spreads far and wide! This is the entire idea behind health and wellness. It seems to me that so much of our problems come from the fact that we are mentally and physically unhealthy, and we can't possibly be a positive influence on the world when we live this way. We are grumpy, miserable, and unwell, and it shows in our speech and actions. The analogy is thus, if you have two broken feet, you can't help push someone in a wheelchair. If your feet heal, now you can push people in wheelchairs all day long! You can be MORE altruistic, and benefit the world much more greatly if you are healthy. I could add so much more, because Kip was really out of line a few times here, but I just wanted to give some defense of Dave here because I think it's totally unjust.
I'm totally with you here. I don't understand why there is so much backlash at Dave here either. You could see the anger building up in Kip as he kept trying to bite his tongue here and wait his turn to pounce on and belittle Dave. Not cool. I have respect for Joel and Dave here. Why can't they all 3 talk, share their ideas and not jump on or belittle each other?
vegans hate anyone who don't agree with them, look at the athletes from game changers all going back to animal products because their bodies started falling apart
I've read a bunch of these comments below. How predictable: the vegans say Dave Asprey is a con-artist with no science to back his claims because (1) he's not a doctor, (2) he sells books and products, (3) he's arrogant. Meanwhile the carnists are crying that it's unfair that Dave is pitted against 2 vegans, one being a doctor. What I liked seeing was the commonalities, regarding health at least, of these two disparate dietary choices: whole-food, mostly vegetables, healthy fats, low sugar/sweeteners. THAT, to me, is a beautiful thing. By the way, you can reference science without BEING a doctor. Remember in the video, the mention of pubmed. You don't have to be a doctor to read. You may have a linguistic/experiential advantage at first. But, once you start reading lots of studies, you become pretty well-versed and learn a ton -- enough to synthesize the data and conclusions into an argument for or against certain dietary choices (notice I didn't say FACTS, because I have read a ton of studies, and I still have a hard time drawing set conclusions about which specific diet is better for health -- vegan, keto, veg, bulletproof, paleo, etc....That's because, as Dr. Kahn mentions, we don't have a million people to eat one dietary style, and another to eat another style, in a completely controlled way. I read many contractictory studies. All of them have some holes, and it's up to the reader to be unbiased...But, we live in a world where we read studies and feed our own interests. "I'm vegan, so I'm going to quote this study and ignore that one." "I'm Keto, so I'm going to listen to this finding, and not that one..." It is a challenge to reach set conclusions, even with so many scientific articles at our fingertips -- or maybe because of it. Of course, veganism is equally about the environment and health. So, it's easy to become so passionate about helping the planet. But, isn't it POSSIBLE that awesome, compassionate, selfless choice to serve the planet better, blinds some vegans to the POSSIBILITY that eating grassfed meat isn't in and of itself horrible for health or for the planet. Rather, couldn't it be that it's the epidemic amount and kind of meat that is being eaten is the damaging factor? I am a current meat-eater who believes that 80+% of your plate (at every meal) should be above-ground vegetables, with a good portion of healthy fats (avocado, avocado oil, coconut oil, olive oil, ghee and/or butter), a small amount of protein (meat, fish, soaked/sprouted legumes or beans, eggs, etc.), and a small amount of carbs (although if I'm trying to bulk/gain muscle or am exercising a lot, I up my carbs a good deal). But, over the last few years, I have cut down my meat eating to 1x per day, and I lean toward becoming vegetarian, pescatarian, or even vegan because I am feeling strongly about taking personal steps to reduce my carbon footprint -- not because I feel that eating grassfed meat or pastured animal products in the quantities that I eat it is unhealthy. Lastly, you can be pissed at Dave Asprey for selling stuff. But, after all, Kip is selling stuff too -- movies. Dr. Kahn sells books, and has a restaurant. So, that argument is bunk. You can sell stuff -- supplements, food, facts or opinions -- and still have integrity. I don't believe Dave Asprey is touting stuff that he doesn't believe is founded, or at least has worked for him and his wife, just to make money, any more that Dr. Kahn is selling books just to make money. I believe Dave, Kip, and Dr. Kahn are all pushing what they believe to be true, based on the facts that they have each uncovered, in a world of diversity and varying proofs and angles. Dr. Kahn touched on this early in the video -- again, citing the commonalities amongst them. I think viewers should focus equally on those commonalities, rather than only divisively pointing out the differences and name calling. Let's try to gain some common ground by listening to each other openly -- to understand each other, to be unbiased. We might learn something that will benefit us all, and get better together. Peace!
I agree with what you say, Jeremy. I was vegetarian, and vegan at times, for over 30 years. I did it not for health, but because I did not want to harm animals. However, I got extremely ill. Not from my diet but stress, and thought long and hard about introducing some meat back into my diet as bone broths were suggested to help my gut and body recover. I did this. It helped. I then very radically decided to try a ketogenic diet and found this made me very ill as it affected my thyroid - rT3 went very high. I now eat moderate carbs; back to eating lentils, rice; not wheat. I do not do well on dairy; and some meat in the week with bone broth making soups. Eggs. I believe in organically raised animals. And, I am aware how privileged I am to be able to eat the foods I do. As I wrote in the comments earlier there was absolutely no mention of nutritional deficiencies in a vegan diet which it is without supplements. Also, no mention of how low carb and ketogenic diets can affect some people very badly as they did me. I believe humans are omnivores and some people can do really well as vegetarians - Most of the population of Southern India eats this way. And, yes, some thrive as carnivores - as the Massi in Kenya do. As an aside, there was no mention of how cattle are kept on ranches in areas that are way too barren for crops in Australia; as I assume so in the US; and sheep and goats are grazed in hilly areas where again no crops can grow. Absolutely, if the whole world’s population wanted to eat meat this would be a disaster for the planet; but to mention that all animal farming is bad for the planet is so wrong.
@@rosies3622 So wrong? 100% of animal farming is bad for the planet. That is all, there is no 0.1% good animal product. You are not privileged, you are just lying to yourself - the "organically raised animals" do NOT exist. Being vegan or vegetarian does not mean you are living healthy either. You can be vegan and eat only Oreos and drink Coca Cola and do zero exercise. You probably got sick, because your diet was not healthy and / or you did not exercise enough.
1funkyou2 My diet as a vegetarian was healthy as I stated. It took a lot for me to decide to start eating any meat or fish again after decades of not. I realise you are fixed in your views. I believe different people do well on different diets. And any meat I eat does come from a farm I know organically raises its animals.
Been a Dave Asprey fan since Bulletproof exploded into the scene - got all his books, supplements & of course that blessed coffee. In-between I've been vegan, raw, vegetarian, toyed with paleo & every cutting-edge diet out there I could afford, partly to satisfy my curiosity, but most important of all, to find what would make me in my optimum best. Always, ALWAYS...I return to the Bulletproof philosophy. I'm bipolar, by the way - the diet, coffee, oils & grass-fed beef all helped lessen the devastating symptoms I endured my entire life. I'm now off pharmaceutical meds for two years, using only a combination of nootropics I myself experimented with. Dave's gift - to me- is the courage to 'hack' one's own biology with tools & knowledge available to me, to step out of conventional treatment & resignation that one is doomed, to do my own painstaking research, follow the crumbs of wisdom of every discovery out there. I had nothing to lose but everything to gain. Dave's arrogant? far from it. Dude's quite spiritual without being woo-woo. I learned to practice gratitude, thanks to him. So stop being butt-hurt for once & actually listen. Stop demonising his success & enriching himself for helping people - he should. All who do good & contribute to society in a disruptive & massive way should get rich, wealthy, happy & successful so they can continue to do what they're doing, & for the rest of us to benefit on their work.
I wish Kip would have had an opportunity to address how 90% of GM soy is grown to feed animals. Non GM soy is made into tofu for human consumption and requires very little land compared with what you would need to get the same number of calories from animal products. Not to mention water use.
Not personally a vegatarian, but when I see the only people who seem to advocate meat based diets over vegaterian, seem to be retarded (look no further than the 4 posts above), it makes me want to go fully vegan.
Gotta say, of the three, Dave looks the biggest weight wise. Plant based diets just promote less inflammation and aging. Also, at 58 Dr. Kahn looks amazing.
Generally speaking skinny is more healthy than the alternative. But then again it depends on how you define skinny. These days the US average is so fat that everybody of normal health looks skinny.
Vegan Parent OMG! I thought D.A. was my age - in his mid to late 50s. He looks much older than his biological age. Not a good walking billboard. Just Wow.
Dr Kahn is a fucking juggernaut of all things related to health and nutrition. The way he speaks really shows his mastery of the subject. I could listen to him all day.
@@Cammypantss no-one in this world gets triggered as easily as a vegan . I would too if I was starving myself of DHA and fat soluble vitamins . Go away I'm not interested in debating vegans . It's a futile and unfortunately the only time they wake up is when they destroy their health . I've been there so I understand .
I think that Dave is a very kind and good human being. I think he has been through quite an ordeal with his own health and I am glad he shares with the world how he climbed out of that hole. Thank you Dave.
If Dave was a very kind and good human being he wouldn't be slaughtering animals for no reason and peddling pointless nutritional supplements and other gimmicks. He's a snakeoil salesman. Even gullible people like Joe Rogan are aware of this now.
Valken Dave said that he did raw vegan diet....you can't just eat plants, you need to eat legumes, legumes, legumes and whole grains & nuts seeds to have a balance diet and get all your necessary minerals and vits. If you don't you will have problems, which is why some vegans run into problems, they are not eating the whole shebang!!! If you eat right & balance, you do not need to kill any animals!!!!
Dave Asprey said something very important...know your own body. Pay attention to how you feel after you eat something. He also said, fill your plate with vegetables first! 2 sensible take aways.
Is this a snarky reply? What if you’re allergic to the foods that make the world better? Eat it because you feel it’s the morally superior thing to do? What is wrong with internet people
I had horrible digestion problems most my life. Was vegetarian/vegan for 10 years. Going carnivore saved my life! I can finally shit without any pain that made me faint almost every time when vegetarian. Give me meat! I am 75 and feel 20. Have more energy than most 25 to 35. I've been Lyon diet for 3 years. Starting to add egg yolks and some hard cheese now.
Woah this butter in the coffee diet allows you to focus forever and gain muscle really easy! especially when you're on steroids and speed at the same time
You know what's cool about drop test videos? They test the assertions of a company selling a device. They don't look at research, they don't try to analyze things, they test it. If the research says "can withstand a 10 foot drop" but then you actually drop it from only 5 feet and it breaks, do you still believe the research? Why don't you test these "urban legend not bAcked by science or even common sense" assertions?
I find it funny that Google said they had different viewpoints on diets but it seems like Kipp and Dr. Joel have the very same viewpoint. Kip just looks and sounds so defensive and angry.
Kip is the kind of elitist who will look back in just a few years and (should) figure out just how little he knows, contrary to his stuffy attitude in this video. I found him to be extremely obnoxious and could never take him seriously.
Are you surprised? It seems in today's world it's all about the illusion of fairness, but when you stack two against one, it's not fair. Dave held his own regardless. Good for him!
Wrong, You obviously did not delve further than the surface of the debate. Kip is a environmentalist who diets the way he does based on abstract ideation. Not health. Dr. Khan is a cardiologist who's making scientifically fact based assertions and recommendations.
I love Joel Kahn's input as a doctor. He bases everything on scientific data and I trust his wisdom. He is also a very good public speaker. Very informative, yet down to Earth.
I appreciate Dave actively listening to Kip and Dr. Kahn. They unfortunately do not return the courtesy. It is hard to respect those who do not respect others.
Nobody really knows jack all the studies are antidotal simply and association and I don’t believe it’s really one side of another you need to do all the above- I really don’t believe the vegan thing really works that well, I’d say vegan with just a little bit of animal is the best.. however be extremely careful eating those plants lectins are real and very inflammatory for many of us
i was overweight once upon a time, tried lots of diets, slimming pills and teas, none of them worked, fortunately someone actually recommended agoge diet to me, never been happy with my weight loss journey
This is such a great video! Kudos! I respect all three of these men, but you just have to love Kip! In his documentaries he is so brave, asking the questions that need to be asked, he is fearless.
I think the fact that Kip kept taking this dramatic and huge body gestured breaths anytime Dave spoke speaks volumes of how outclassed he is. Joel and Dave spend a lot of time discussing the benefits of clean, organic, and grass-fed wherever you can foods, while Kip was just here to add his findings from his documentaries. Great that he made those, because it showcases that people need to choose high quality foods for a litany of reasons, but man does he not have enough knowledge and understanding to play ball at the level at which Dave and Joel are on. Remember anytime you take on a new dietary habit... Choose quality > quantity. Caloric restriction over time HAS been shown to extend life in humans. Test Test Test and don't just fall into the trap diets have of how you feel the first few weeks. Give it time to settle in and see what your biology actually does. Don't be scared to get tested for blood work if you can. Remember that you need to find something that works for YOU. Then you can curtail your choices for the planet and other factors as well. Seasonal veggies > all year veggies. Local where possible. Avoid processed at all costs. You'll be okay. Full disclosure: I follow bulletproof and Keto and it feels great. I do NOT plan to follow Keto once I've lost my weight goals, however I will vacillate in and out of it as I see fit to maintain the metabolic flexibility to burn fats or carbs
I agree Kip is more of a ‘big picture’ type of guy. He sees a diet in a more wholistic way in terms of scarce resources used to produce food and how that impacts the ability of the word human population to eat and also how we can coexist with every other living creature we share the earth with. He drills down into the research in his documentaries, so that’s why he always refers listeners to check those out. And those films are easily accessed and can we watched for free or for a nominal fee with Netflix account. Contrast that to Dave Asprey and his line of products that he’s constantly hawking. I’ll just add that whereas most people criticize a vegan diet as elitist, Dave’s whole program and ethos is the definition of elitist! So only eat organic food, only grass fed animals from local farms, and then buy his line of expensive products and you’ll be all set!
@@dodgeball693 agreed with most of what you said. It’s sad to see how Dave and Kip are so beyond saving in their perspectives, though. They’ve both gotten so far in their ways that it makes them both unapproachable and likely will not change many more people than they’ve already reached.
Kips arguments were based on his documentaries rather than literature he researched. He spoke of doctors he interviewed as his sources. He came across as anecdotal. Dave and Joel spoke of research and were able to bring up a solid argument against each other. Basically Kip is apparently just a guy who interviews people like Dave and Joel to find stuff out.
Kip did his research for his documentaries, so why not just point people there? There is also a very good fact sheet for all the relevant points and the sources used to get them.
Dr. Joel Kahn is amazing. His way of conveying medical studies that are very reputable is great. I liked how he mentioned bias between people in certain lifestyles. There obviously will be bias but keeping open ears is quite important. Andersen and Asprey went back and fourth very often but it created some great discussions somewhat....
Thank You, Google Talks, for this outstanding podcast allowing the Public exposure to a variety of opinions, backgrounds & knowledge from some of the Nation's leading influences in Nutrition & Fitness so they might make more informed decisions. Dave Asprey, the only guy in human history who can workout six days a week, eat a 1800 calorie, vegan diet, and still get "fatter and more tired" Despite seeing no gains, he was still able to "bench press all his friends" Genius!
@@GoVeganForTheAnimal you're telling me! It's even more ridiculous when people accuse plant-based doctors of trying to profit off their advice as if there was mad money to make off telling be to eat brocolli.
My husband and I recently started eating a whole foods, plant-based vegan diet. We've both lost weight and feel better. At 39 and 40 years old, we're running around after our new baby (who doesn't always sleep through the night), and yet we feel great and energized. Did I mention, my husband looks amazing? I can't speak to the science these people are discussing, but eating whole, plant foods works for us. And it's easy. We're able to do it with a new baby. You just choose a legume, a grain and veggies to go with them. I make sandwiches, wraps, pasta (whole grain or spiralized veggies), soups, warm and cold salads, and get more creative when I'm able. This diet is easy, delicious, easy to clean up after, beautiful and affective. Plus, we're not harming animals or the environment. And our baby loves veggies and fruit. This is giving her and her microbiome a great start in life. There are so many resources out there. Just look around and you'll find great info and recipes. Take care of yourself!
"We are animals therefore we should eat animals" Dude... That's not how biology works AT ALL. Ever heard of herbivores? What do you think the cows eat, aren't they animals?
+Rob McClendon Read the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' 2016 position on vegetarian and vegan diets -- they're the United States' largest organization of credentialed nutrition and diet professionals. (en.wikipedia .org/wiki/Academy_of_Nutrition_and_Dietetics) _"It is the position of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that appropriately planned vegetarian, including vegan, diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits for the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. These diets are appropriate for all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, adolescence, older adulthood, and for athletes.[...]Vegetarians and vegans are at reduced risk of certain health conditions, including ischemic heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, certain types of cancer, and obesity."_ ncbi.nlm.nih .gov/pubmed/27886704 And yes, it does say *"appropriately planned".* This does not mean we are not meant to be herbivores, but simply you must learn how to eat properly, (as we all do with a standard diet when we are brought up from childhood).
Rob McClendon I did not mean to say that humans are biological herbivores, sorry for being unclear. I just pointed out that this statement was not logical since cows are also "made out of animals" although they can sustain themselves perfectly on plants. You can't draw the conclusion that we should eat flesh only because we are made out of flesh.
Yeah, cows, horses, rabbits, all of them sustain themselves on plants. Now, have you seen any of those herbivores animals getting on the top of evolution? Are they the ones who got smart enough to make rockets? Are they they the ones who got smart enough to make houses and protect themselves from predators? The thing is that humans are omnivores for evolutionary reasons not "just because of it.." or not "just because of its taste" and if, in the case, that now we can collect all the stuff to maintain ourselves without needing meat, is just because we got smart enough for doing so by being omnivores in the first place.
humans did anything to survive in prehistoric times but now we have science to help us thrive as we start to explore beyond nature. Just because we did something in the past doesn't mean it is effective in the present
+The Yam Industry --- based on our evolutionary path and anatomical features believe humans are actually classified as frugivores --- as are our closest relatives
the problem with elimination is that u will still eat many other foods which may not work for u at any given moment of your trial.... so u may have to elininate to the max in order to get a clearer picture ...
And the guy in the middle is really rude and closed minded about accepting any ideas other than his own. He comments are all based on "what I learned when making the movie."
Yeah, it's not necessarily his fault, but he annoys me more than the bullet guy. They're probably both full of it. Based on personality alone, I'd hang out with the doctor, MAYBE bullet guy, definitely not movie man.
This was great, loved hearing both sides together. It would have been nice if there was a doctor on the other side too - "paleo" based diet approach. Or at least a second speaker to balance things. Felt a little bit like two against one although Dr Joel Kahn was great at depolarizing the conversation.
Interesting discussion! I think the question of The ideal diet with regard to health, would actually be different speakers. This is kind of comparing apples to oranges. Dave is trying to maximize mental performance, and longevity while healing from mold toxins and ADD. The question of the ideal diet with regard to ethics, and/or the environment, is another issue. The goals are different. The ethical diet can be a very unhealthy diet. You can eliminate eating animal products while still eating mostly junk food. I think all diets need to eliminate artificial preservatives, artificial sweeteners, artificial colorings, pesticide residues, toxic mold inhibitors, antibiotics which are all toxic to some degree, added hormones, added neurotransmitters, added medications, and DNA that causes rapid weight gain. There is a difference between what seems to be necessary for healing and what seems to be necessary for ethics. Two of these panelists were apparently never sick, just looking for a good cause when they chose their diets, and the Doctors goal is primarily health, with avoidance of lifestyle caused illness, not particularly longevity. Dr. Kevin Kelley used an algorithm that looked at various aspects of metabolism to determine the best diet for each sick individual who came to him, based on the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system activation. Well people may need to adjust their diets under different circumstances. I think this is the future. Not one diet for everyone. I am hopeful that there might be a way to do all this without causing sentient beings unnecessary suffering, and helping the natural world, while also maximizing wellness and security for human animals.
Thank you Sun. I appreciate the way you sum this. I'd love to talk more. I looked it up and the metabolicinstitute sight says. @@johnnyroe8053 it is just a sensationalist way to sell his books. people are afraid to change their diets by taking out the animal products, that is what these pseudoscientists rely on - they give them what they think they want to hear. at the same time he can promote all his "superfoods", super "IQ improving" coffee and and of course "cheap" supplements which you all need if you eat meat instead of a natural plant based diet. i like how google put this guy on a panel together with dr. kahn who is obviously a real scientist.
I'm a plant based guy, and I gotta say that Kip Andersen was slightly mistaken in one thing. We can't get EVERYTHING we need from plants. There is one thing that is imperative to a person's long term survival and heart health. Vitamin B12. You can get it easier from meat, or meat related products, but the plant world doesn't have a source... at least not one that I have found in the 9 years or so that I've been looking. I need fortified cereal or a supplement for it. Everyone does, if they don't eat meat. So... i hope he updates his knowledge a little bit. You would be surprised how many vegans don't know about that. You would also be surprised how many vegans still drink coca cola or pepsi because it's also vegan.
B12 is present in the natural soil. So before we started to meticulously rinse our vegetables, and before soil became ridden with pesticides, you could get b12 from vegetables.
You are correct that B12 is the nutrient lacking in an exclusive whole plant diet. But it is easily supplemented from fortified foods and/or a B12 supplement. I think most of made from algae. You can get it from animal products but since food is a package deal, you get all the bad stuff too. So why not just take a safe effective supplement along with a whole plant food diet?
B12 has all the hype because without it you end up demented or dead but there are about 7 other micronutrients for brain and muscle function not found in plants and vegan versions of those would be chemically made.
I love the fact that Dave Asprey has an organic farm. This should be the goal of every family on Earth. I have an organic garden (300 sq ft) but wish it could be more. I would love to see Dave's garden.
Dave Asprey said it - the "Ideal Diet" is specific to every individual and those 3 gentlemen on stage offer 3 different archetypes for you to choose from. There's no debate.
As a vegan I appreciated the mostly agreeable demeanor of Dave Asprey. Vegans need to remember "veganism" is an ideology/philosophy not a diet. Its not synonymous with a "whole-food plant based" diet. So Dave probably has collected some good info (just check sources)... nuance guys...nuance
But Joel Khan is trying to make you aware of the fact there is such a thing as a junk food vegan diet and that there is science proving that there's such a thing as a healthy vegan diet that can change your future health outcome.
Why is Dave Asprey not slim and kinny ? he looks high on pot or other drugs ; look at his face ! his B.S. coffee is not working .....He's looks 10 years older than his age...Dave Asprey has aged so poorly...on his high fat meat diet ! Not trying to be mean, just pointing out that a diet low in antioxidants and fiber doesn't help you age well. This man is a narcissist with a big ego and does it with a smile ...If anyone mentions anything on Dave Asprey podcast, he talks about himself and how he use to be fat. He has many boring guests, people that obviously paid to be on bulletproof podcast (Yes you pay 20k to be on it). Or he talks about new gadgets that are a waste of money, saying he uses them everyday in his routine ... which is obviously a lie.He keeps on talking about 40 years of Zen, but you can see it doesn't work! Because if it did, Dave wouldn't be so full of himself. This is not the biohacking movement anymore coming from him. It's just a sales pitch. The books Dave Asprey writes is filled with dubious claims based on little evidence or " cherry picked studies" that are "taken out of context". The author, Dave Asprey, vilifies healthy foods and suggests part of the way to achieve a "pound a day" weight loss is to buy his expensive, "science-based" Bulletproof products.Almost every fad diet-book starts with a compelling personal narrative.a..Dave asprey always says "The best way to lose weight is by buying my special products!" In Asprey's food categorizations, many of the items that rank as most healthy are his own branded products: Bulletproof Brain Octane, Bulletproof Chocolate Powder, Bulletproof Ghee, Bulletproof Whey, et cetera. Alarm bells should go off any time someone claims that you should buy their expensive products for your diet. Especially when the products come with miracle promises, like Asprey's Unfair Advantage, which he suggests will help your body grow new mitochondria (the energy powerhouses of the cells). There's BULLSHIT EVERYWHERE all around us! The best skill you can learn is to filter the good from the bad, and never buy into anything all the way. "There is no beef on the planet that has much in the way of nutrients..."says Kahn. Show me a plant that by weight has more nutrients than liver or that has Vit A , DHA, and K2 in their most bio-available form. Kahn is pretty careful about some of his language and seems like a pretty good guy but he is completely wrong when he says no beef on the planet has much in the way of nutrients. Grass fed beef is especially nutrient dense and outside of the macro-nutrients has plenty of B Vitamins and a good mineral profile. Vit C and Vit E are the only micro-nutrients I can think of that would be more plentiful in plants than in animals. All other micro-nutrients will be more plentiful in animal sources than plant sources and more bio-available. You can also say something is unhealthy without being hyperbolic. Eating processed meat is not as risky as smoking in terms of causing cancer. If you do not understand this then you do not understand relative risk and you probably should not be holding yourself out there as an expert on science. There is no hope for Kip but Kahn I think could be convinced to change some of his language so that he doesn't make these false statements.
Great discussion. I'll put my $20 bucks on Joel Kahn. I tried Keto for 10 days and lost 10 pounds. But I lost 20 pounds over time eating mostly vegetables.
39:18 - He meant to say that we don't make vitamin C. Gorillas and guinea pigs don't make vitamin C but dogs do. Which means we evolved to eat a diet high in fruit and veg.
Wish it was a fair debate. 2 vegans vs 1 keto guy. Before any vegans attack me, I’m not taking any side. Unsure if veganism or keto is better, but a great debate would be Dr. Berg/Hyman and Thomas DeLauer vs Dr. Gregor/Kahn and Kip. That would be something to watch. I doubt itll ever happen live in front of an audience though.
Kip is so wise. Health is not just about us, it's about all of us. We cannot be healthy if we eat animals that aren't healthy, or if we eat plants sprayed with chemicals. We all must make healthy choices to drive consumer demand. I'm so glad there are people in this world that aren't all about themselves, we all have to work for the greater good.
I went into this interview neutral, maybe even slightly towards the Bullet Proof diet. After, I am leaning towards a plant based vegan diet. I typically think of Vegans as annoying hippies haha just being honest. But I realize that I may have judged a little too harshly. Looks like there is some good science behind it. I am commenting this now but I first watched this video a couple months ago. I have been vegetarian since then and now Vegan for a few weeks. I have never had better endurance and am loving it. My mile time went from 7:30 ish to under 6:00!!! Eye sight improved and I am supplementing with B12. Getting my protein and detoxing like crazy. Loving it and looking forward to the next months and years. I will start a RUclips vlog describing my experience if anyone is interested.
Thanks for a stimulating discussion everyone! Lots to digest (pun intended). Seriously, as a fairly healthy senior with heart and cancer background, I will explore how I can be even healthier and live longer.
Do you think it's wise to idolize someone who supports and encourages animal abuse when he is aware of alternative viable eating methods? Would you support someone who beats dogs when they can chose to adopt and care about dogs instead?
Dave Asprey....oy vey...a guy who hasn't even taken a single undergrad biology course is being taken seriously, and even at the table with real doctors...that's the problem with social media and marketing...appeal to the lowest common denominator, so that must be the truth. Again, how the heck this Dave Asprey get into the conversation????
It wasn't a fair fight to have, first of all, two vegans, and one a doctor at that, debating with whoever this guy is. There are many doctors and other scientists out there that would have had more real science to back up their claims, and make it a more enjoyable debate. Asprey is a douche. And really not even taken seriously in serious ketogenic circles. I'm plant based btw.
Ken Powers Congratz. Ypu just appealed to the lowest denominator. Appeal to authority. If you think only people who have an official education rather than basing it on how educated they are on issues, than you are the moron. If you do not know about insulin, IRE, TMAO, neu5Gc, glycogen, glycocalyx, LPS, lectins, oxalates etc, you should shut up, bcs you will not know who won the debate, just cirkeljerking. And who won; none of them. They are idiots, one ”hacker” and two pleading from the position of morals. The Doctor to the right if not judged by a false dichotomy but scale, he is right there at a reasonable cowardly but intelligent position. But anyone relying on studies rather than conclusions that can be drawn past the studies and that is logical conclusions, with ease you can be healthy on a diet with meats. But not by in generality; that is what conclusions morons are forced to reat on, if relying only on the avarage stats of significance of studies and not thinking of the exceptions. Just wow. The man in the middle is a god damn retard. Where did they find this moron?
@@MrPerfume1979 I agree! There is much more to education than a degree. Many many tech authority's agree, look at the opinion of Elon Musk, he can be quoted to say that he could care less what degree a person has, it is much more important to note what they can and have done and what they know. Also Dave was a computer engineer which as an engineering student I have taken many science classes including biology...
Wow, I've eaten mostly plants all my life. I've recently discovered that most of my health issues are caused by my lovely veggies. In searching for how to eat without nuts, nightshades, legumes, squash, and some other loves-of-my life, I'm looking everywhere. Dave Asprey's my favorite. He has given me information which has lead to my now being able to live without pain. Thank you, Mr. Asprey. I'm disappointed in Mr. Anderson who says he is for harmonizing and yet is vicious and attacking. I've liked Joel Kahn in the past but here he is too supportive of the medical research done over the years which has led to our dependence on medications. However, Mr. Kahn remembered too be respectful, unlike Mr. Anderson.
Well a vegan could have been dining with chips and cookies could be there's your problem? Maybe look closer into a Whole food plant based diet with low omega 6 fats.
Keto and fasting are less stressful on us than loading up on vegetables ,grain, and soy beans.🤠Salt is our friend and so are eggs. The human race has thrived on just about everything as long as they have given them selves a chance to rest (fasting).
Lots of emotional people out in full force in the comments section using ad hominem attacks instead of contributing anything helpful. What a surprise! Bottom line: Try out the different diets, track your biomarkers, and see what results in the best results for you. I have tried a wide array of diets, including vegetarianism, but a high-fat ketogenic diet with plenty of vegetables, as Dave Asprey recommends, gave me the best results not only in my biomarkers but my quality of life.
Joel sounds reasonable here but on rogan he said when he bursts people's blocked arteries open he finds fat, not sugar. So the problem is fat. Thats ridiculous! Sugar causes fat gain
HelenavanWersch these vegans are extremely biased and idealistic. It’s a type of virtue signaling they do when they insult people for eating meat, as if it makes you a better human to not eat what we’ve been eatin for millions of years!!
I have tried both keto and currently plant-based. Pros of keto: - I have to say my muscle mass was pretty good on keto - I wanted to do a lot of anaerobic exercises - I lost good amount of weight Cons of keto: - I had to calorie count and portion control - My body started having a distinct smell - My muscles hurt a lot due to lactic acid build up - I had a slight feeling of hunger most of the time and carb cravings, so needed "cheat" days Pros of low fat Plant Based - Much bigger range of foods such as pizzas, burritos, burgers, big grain bowls with veggies, so never feel hungry - No portion control or calorie counting and still losing weight although slower than on keto - I am more active. Playing tennis 3-4 hours a day at a competitive is not a problem now - No muscle soreness even after long hours of training - No cravings for animal products Cons of Plant based: - Harder to eat out as all veggie dishes in restaurants are usually drenched in oil - Harder to eat meals with family as it feels more restrictive to them - Not much of a desire to do anaerobic exercises - If eating to much beans there is flatulence In general I feel that plant-based diet is easier to follow as keto diets really focus on peculiar things, food has to be organic and grass-fed and disease tested and oxidation-free and all that stuff otherwise it's pretty bad for you, whether with plant-based it's simple food groups veggies, fruits, legumes and grains. I supplement with B12 and vitamin D, I was supplementing with much more on keto. Also the discussion about nootropics is a difficult one, I have tried a few on both diets and they do make you think better on any diet but it comes at a cost of "brain hangover" Also from what I found knowledgable people who popularise plant-based diet are usually doctors who make their money from practice and do the research on health and nutrition in parallel. Many more keto advocates are selling their supplements, "exclusive" meal plans and health routines which you can buy only from them
Nice comparison and experience, but there's a few issues I had with it that might influence your experience with both. A lot of your Keto cons aren't typical of someone properly in ketosis, or someone eating "clean" keto. Just like veganism, you can completely ruin the benefits by eating terribly. Were you checking your ketone levels? When you said ""I had a slight feeling of hunger most of the time and carb cravings, so needed "cheat" days"", that was a huge red flag of someone eating an unclean keto diet who is bouncing in and out of ketosis every few days when it only works if you go at least a couple months at a time. Body smell is usually caused by eating the unhealthy oils and/or too much dairy, the diary thing more so is my personal experience but I've seen that around a bit with others too. Also another red flag was you commenting on your muscle mass on keto, when keto if anything decreases your results in the gym because glycogen/glucose is BY FAR more effective than ketones. Besides the loss of strength gains, your muscles will also appear smaller from the loss of glycogen. Lactic acid also doesn't cause muscle pain or soreness, just a fun fact, but keto depletes lactic acid buildup quicker than you normally would anyway. For your plant based diet, only complaint I'd say is your choice in foods, specifically anything with processed grains. All of those grains, burritos, pizzas etc. are the some of the highest causes of inflammation in the body other than processed meats and bad oils. They are also high glycemic so you will feel energized for awhile, then crash, which is why a lot of "biohackers" eat their carbs at night and start the days with fats/protein. Hard spikes in blood sugar in themselves also cause inflammation, so anything more than roughly a half cup of rice or a small slice of bread and you're going to have far more negative effects than positive. I think both diets can work for most people, just make a few tweaks and you'll be golden.
@@RobertMatlock thanks will take your advice into account. - I haven’t been eating much dairy during keto. - Yeah, I had a cheat meal every week there was some dairy in it - Yeah, I didn’t measure my ketones. - Interesting about muscle soreness and muscle gains. I clearly saw the results, that was one of the main advantages of keto. In general after studying a dozen research papers I have seen that science favours plant based more in terms of health, so I think I’ll stick to majority plant based with maybe some fish and seafood once in a while for now. Thanks again.
Kip needs to have a lion breathing down his neck to really feel one with nature and realize he is food for many different animals and many animals are food for us. Also please tell me how your going to live off plants in anywhere besides California. Kip is only here on this plant because of humans eating animal for centuries. He is also completely advocating for factory farming again because most climates can’t grow enough variety healthy plants for people to live 100% on them.
Oh and Kip definitely seemed to have the worst cognitive function of the 3 with Dave definitely seeming to be the sharpest mind able to recall information and remember the questions well.
@Enmanuel animal products and processed food and sugar and salt are each a helluva drug. Together they feed denial and delusion. Sort of like how we teach our kids that there’s a Flying Spaghetti Monster for us all to worship and fear.
Feeling better on a diet doesn't validate that it is the best diet. Do you think the animals your new diet causes suffering upon feel better for your decision?
I don’t want to take any sides here, as I’m watching with a complete open mind. Kip’s body language and eye rolling and mocking grins were really quite a turn off during Dave’s opening comments. Personal beliefs aside, what Dave said was quite reasonable and he encouraged people to research what is right for their bodies.
Very interesting. How’s your eyesight?
Dave in his blog stated that he takes 100+ pills EVERY Day. How can his diet be optimum if he still needs to take that many of pills?
Bourne Jason because he sells supplements.
Bulletproof but not pill proof... lololol what a joker
That does make the elitism claim just that much stronger then.
Damn, me taking about 18, thought I was exaggerating.
So true NutritionFacts .org is a great place for information!
I've been "going there" since 2009 ... AMAZING resource! Love that Dr. Greger...total humanitarian!
Yes! All the information is evidence based
Its a great place if your a vegan. I prefer Dr. Axe for a more balanced view.
And "Dr" Axe is a quack. He is not even a doctor.
Surprised no one told Dave Asprey that not every vegan diet is healthy, he said he tried being vegetarian and raw vegan which is not the recommended diets, it's called Whole food plant based diet which is the healthiest diet out there.
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!
I eat whole food plant based with 0 proccessed food, it made me sick and fat. First 8 months i feelt great but than it just went downhill.
@ UltimaOn
It sounds like you were on a 100 per cent coconut diet.
Eat more beans dude. Look at Nimai Delgado - dude is huge and has never eaten meat.
ALL PLANTS have protein....there are MANY plant-strong athletes out there and their numbers are growing...Robert Cheeke.... Torrey Washington...google it...!
Muscle retention is caused by training. Use it or lose it. No amount of protein will counter that.
Then why are you fat?
"I'm vegan, so I'm going to quote this study and ignore that one." "I'm Keto, so I'm going to listen to this finding, and not that one..."
It is a challenge to reach set conclusions, even with so many scientific articles at our fingertips -- or maybe because of it.
Peace!
It's rare to see such well-written, thoroughly-thought, open-minded comment.
I’m beginning to think many disease are bacteria and virus related? Any chance you could have Lyme disease?
Thank you for observing and sharing.
I wish Kip would have had an opportunity to address how 90% of GM soy is grown to feed animals. Non GM soy is made into tofu for human consumption and requires very little land compared with what you would need to get the same number of calories from animal products. Not to mention water use.
balderdashery G Agreed!
I love tofu, soy milk etc! Delicious and good for you!

didn't he eventually mention that? I thought he corrected Dave at one moment to slide that in.
mentioned but not fully given the attention it deserved IMO
Not personally a vegatarian, but when I see the only people who seem to advocate meat based diets over vegaterian, seem to be retarded (look no further than the 4 posts above), it makes me want to go fully vegan.
Gotta say, of the three, Dave looks the biggest weight wise. Plant based diets just promote less inflammation and aging. Also, at 58 Dr. Kahn looks amazing.
So you're saying skinny is healthy?
Skinny or muscular isn't a good indicator of health.
Just Wow.
Or maybe he is a good walking billboard of the truth that a paleo diet increases overall mortality.
Joel Kahn is really knowledgeable.
Dr Kahn is a fucking juggernaut of all things related to health and nutrition. The way he speaks really shows his mastery of the subject. I could listen to him all day.
I don't think so. He's a douche.

Kip is the most aggressive/religious of the 3. The older 2 are more open minded and experienced.
Etienne-Emile Antikatastaseis - You might not believe it, but he says he tried veganism and lives with less pain eating meat. So you think he's lying.
Kip Anderson said something really important... not everything is about you

I think you are being sarcastic. It glows toxic orange.
Omg listening to this makes me realize most Asprey assertions are urban legend not bAcked by science or even common sense
Not true
Putting Asprey on the same panel as Dr. Kahn is like putting a YMCA rec leaguer with Lebron at a basketball coaching camp.
Give Kahn a little credit, he's at least a Kevin Durant.
Yep. Zero science as usual with these morons. The dude is just trying to make money from selling books.
I find it funny that Google said they had different viewpoints on diets but it seems like Kipp and Dr. Joel have the very same viewpoint.
Kip just looks and sounds so defensive and angry.
He probably has blood sugar issues like most vegans lol
He likes to claim that, but watch the Rogan debate. It's pretty weak science and it's all really old and selective.
@@huntsman528 any glaring examples of the weak and selective science?
I thought he was pretty arrogant, smug, and kept interrupting. Science is not the fool proof, proof of anything.
I appreciate Dave actively listening to Kip and Dr. Kahn. They unfortunately do not return the courtesy. It is hard to respect those who do not respect others.
Veganism is a cult. They are very aggressive and delusional
Yea listen to the guy who "bio hacks" 🤦🏼♂️
Wrong Dr. Kahn was the best diplomat of the bunch, re-listen to this he was trying to find common ground.
Nobody really knows jack all the studies are antidotal simply and association and I don’t believe it’s really one side of another you need to do all the above- I really don’t believe the vegan thing really works that well, I’d say vegan with just a little bit of animal is the best.. however be extremely careful eating those plants lectins are real and very inflammatory for many of us
Dr. Joel Kahn is awesome!!!
Kip's expression throughout while David is talking, is priceless. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Kip was having an environmental discussion not a dietary health discussion. He shouldn't be up there.
He definitely made some grimacing faces while getting intellectually bodied.
"Well I'll definitely keep it a lot shorter than that" after Dave.. proceeds to talk 2x as long

I'd like to see Dr. Jason Fung and Dr. Steven Gundry on this panel.
It would definitely be much more balanced.🤠
Dr Gundry only wants you to buy his products....not credible
Appreciate the doctor's input and manner here. I think that was what was actually intended by the organizers.

I did feel bad for Joel Kahn as he had to play peacemaker between the other two in this discussion!
@@dodgeball693 agreed with most of what you said.
It’s sad to see how Dave and Kip are so beyond saving in their perspectives, though. They’ve both gotten so far in their ways that it makes them both unapproachable and likely will not change many more people than they’ve already reached.

As a person doing keto diet, this talk really helps to see many other prospects in both diets. Thank yoy.
Yeah that seems about right.
couldn't agree more. he was on the offensive immediately
Kip did his research for his documentaries, so why not just point people there? There is also a very good fact sheet for all the relevant points and the sources used to get them.
I LOVE THIS FORMAT!!

"We are animals therefore we should eat animals"
Dude... That's not how biology works AT ALL. Ever heard of herbivores? What do you think the cows eat, aren't they animals?
+Rob McClendon
Read the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' 2016 position on vegetarian and vegan diets -- they're the United States' largest organization of credentialed nutrition and diet professionals.
(en.wikipedia .org/wiki/Academy_of_Nutrition_and_Dietetics)
_"It is the position of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that appropriately planned vegetarian, including vegan, diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits for the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. These diets are appropriate for all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, adolescence, older adulthood, and for athletes.[...]Vegetarians and vegans are at reduced risk of certain health conditions, including ischemic heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, certain types of cancer, and obesity."_
ncbi.nlm.nih .gov/pubmed/27886704
And yes, it does say *"appropriately planned".* This does not mean we are not meant to be herbivores, but simply you must learn how to eat properly, (as we all do with a standard diet when we are brought up from childhood).

Spitting straight facts every time, supporting animal abuse is not necessary to thrive
This was great, loved hearing both sides together. It would have been nice if there was a doctor on the other side too - "paleo" based diet approach. Or at least a second speaker to balance things. Felt a little bit like two against one although Dr Joel Kahn was great at depolarizing the conversation.
YES...had that same feeling...like it was set up for Dave to be thumped. Dave held his own, though.

Dr. Joel was so badass in this. He really knows how to pick his battles.
Just not on the Rogan podcast...
Such a good talk. Thank you for hosting the discussions :)

Totally agree. There could be more than one way to eat healthy.
very well done ,no arguing Love it !!! This was amazing !!!
That holds true for internet gurus and mainstream medicine alike.

It wasn't a fair fight to have, first of all, two vegans, and one a doctor at that, debating with whoever this guy is. There are many doctors and other scientists out there that would have had more real science to back up their claims, and make it a more enjoyable debate. Asprey is a douche.
I believe Dave! The answer is that everyone is different.
Dave, you are my hero! People here are just not that smart
HelenavanWersch these vegans are extremely biased and idealistic. It’s a type of virtue signaling they do when they insult people for eating meat, as if it makes you a better human to not eat what we’ve been eatin for millions of years!!
I have tried both keto and currently plant-based.
Pros of keto:
- I have to say my muscle mass was pretty good on keto
- I wanted to do a lot of anaerobic exercises
- I lost good amount of weight
Cons of keto:
- I had to calorie count and portion control
- My body started having a distinct smell
- My muscles hurt a lot due to lactic acid build up
- I had a slight feeling of hunger most of the time and carb cravings, so needed "cheat" days
Pros of low fat Plant Based
- Much bigger range of foods such as pizzas, burritos, burgers, big grain bowls with veggies, so never feel hungry
- No portion control or calorie counting and still losing weight although slower than on keto
- I am more active. Playing tennis 3-4 hours a day at a competitive is not a problem now
- No muscle soreness even after long hours of training
- No cravings for animal products
Cons of Plant based:
- Harder to eat out as all veggie dishes in restaurants are usually drenched in oil
- Harder to eat meals with family as it feels more restrictive to them
- Not much of a desire to do anaerobic exercises
- If eating to much beans there is flatulence
In general I feel that plant-based diet is easier to follow as keto diets really focus on peculiar things, food has to be organic and grass-fed and disease tested and oxidation-free and all that stuff otherwise it's pretty bad for you, whether with plant-based it's simple food groups veggies, fruits, legumes and grains. I supplement with B12 and vitamin D, I was supplementing with much more on keto. Also the discussion about nootropics is a difficult one, I have tried a few on both diets and they do make you think better on any diet but it comes at a cost of "brain hangover"
Also from what I found knowledgable people who popularise plant-based diet are usually doctors who make their money from practice and do the research on health and nutrition in parallel.
- Yeah, I had a cheat meal every week there was some dairy in it
- Yeah, I didn’t measure my ketones.
16 minutes in and hooked on this conversation. The Doc on the right is articulate & 💯 persuasive! But vegan diet is too hard a sale.
I would've enjoyed this debate much more without Kip's presence.
Then it'd be left to one only one educated person left to talk to Dave.
KIP was rude He needs to be less morally superior. The others were classy and respectful.
literally laughing out loud at some of Kip’s reactions to this guy’s arguments. Same, Kip. Same.
Kip is a massive tool bag
Kip needs to have a lion breathing down his neck to really feel one with nature and realize he is food for many different animals and many animals are food for us. Also please tell me how your going to live off plants in anywhere besides California. Kip is only here on this plant because of humans eating animal for centuries. He is also completely advocating for factory farming again because most climates can’t grow enough variety healthy plants for people to live 100% on them.
Oh and Kip definitely seemed to have the worst cognitive function of the 3 with Dave definitely seeming to be the sharpest mind able to recall information and remember the questions well.
@Enmanuel
But he looks like a douchebag?
@Enmanuel animal products and processed food and sugar and salt are each a helluva drug. Together they feed denial and delusion. Sort of like how we teach our kids that there’s a Flying Spaghetti Monster for us all to worship and fear.
Kahn is a peacemaker and correct on his facts. Asprey although better than the SAD diet is wrong on many points.
I have been following Asprey and his diet and i feel million times better than before. Thanks Asprey!
Feeling better on a diet doesn't validate that it is the best diet. Do you think the animals your new diet causes suffering upon feel better for your decision?
The vegan guy always looked at Dave for approval, Dave communicated with the public instead
Dr Joel Kahn is a very "sharp" person; both in knowledge and opinions. The other ones are great, too,but Mr Kahn is very skilled, I think.
I really wanna see Dr Eric Berg up here!
this need 100x more views.
1:00:37 Amen again. Such great advice this time from Mr. Aspry. Lead by example, not by talking.
