    "That voice in your head thinking about food just stops!" That has been my experience after a lifetime obsessed with food. I just cannot believe how good I feel when fasting. I ordered Dave's book and can't wait to read it!

      Yes, been doing IF for months now and now I'm used to eating smaller portions and tighter windows and the food I do eat is a lot more filling. Huge reduction in snacking because it just feels weird now

    Been using Bulletproof for 4 years & love it. Haven’t seen Dave in a few years; but he DEFINITELY looks GREAT. If you think about it; this guy SELLS FOOD & is encouraging the regular use of FASTING.

    Chase asked the best questions. I wasn't really into Dave's work besides giving me bulletproof coffee (homemade style), but he really shined in his practical and pragmatic insights. I'm definitely more curious to go back over Dave's interviews and writings more.
    Another personal takeaway is some reasoning for why various things I've tried work really well but only in moderation. I'm still trying to calibrate how much I fast/exercise/rest. There's so much to unpack just from this interview!

      Agree. I believe that a lot is personal: work life, exercise ability and preference,gender, food availability and taste preferences, gut microbes, etc. I love that these conversations are happening. Personally I love to think about and cook food…..we must enjoy our lives too.

    The Army does PT (Physical Training) generally starting 0600-0630 M-F before breakfast. Working out first thing in the morning before eating is the norm for thousands of people done for decades. Ordered Bulletproof Coffee and MCT Oil last night. Been doing intermittent fasting for a few weeks. definitely will check out the book.

    32 minutes in and went and bought the book on audible. I've been feeling like a change is coming or needed however was feeling unsure on what that would look like. I love the bio hacking and seeing what feels good for oneself + I also love how Dave brought up the whole " I feeling fucking great" ...then after a few months it starts to go wonky. I'm in the wonky phase lol so looking forward to experimenting, listening and observing my own mechanics within it all. Thanks guys!!

    Aftr digging into it and buying some of the Bulletproof prebiotic, learned it's possible to use any resistant starch (most common is inulin, much more avaiable and usually chicory based so plant-baed and well tested) as a prebiotic, they all erment in the gut creating the compounds that are desired to support better health and gut flora!!!! All of them are fiber and will keep you feeling fuller and move the system. I am liking the Bulletproof brand but NOT cheap!

    So a question, i don’t like coffee, can the same affects be done with tea? This is a real question as seriously coffee tastes like dirt to me plus like Dave,… i tried a half cup in early 20’s and shook like crazy, thought in was allergic never touched it again. I did not know about the molds. I am allergic to mold, i found that tidbit of info fascinating. Thank you for the video.

    • @ChaseJarvis
      @ChaseJarvis  3 года назад +3

      It doesn't have to be butter. The key is just to add fat. Some alternatives could be: coconut oil, MCT oil, cacao butter or coconut butter.
