    I am doing a study called commercial economy. A very wide angle of study, that makes students commercially ready for the business. But it is too wide. I want to specialize. Could this be a good study? I can see this area helpful for marketing and strategy for a company. Not something Commercial Economy can help me out.

      I would only suggest specialising in BI if you're truly interested in it. Maybe take some time to research the subject a bit more. Good luck!

    Thank you so much 🙏 what about data wearhousing is this the ultimate skill level of bi developer? I saw some job posting in indeed that mentioned this skill as a top most level of bi architect is it true and is this role is highest level in bi?

    • @LearnBI
      @LearnBI  Год назад +2

      I wouldn’t say highest level because different roles require different skills. The knowledge needed to create data warehouses and pipelines crosses over a lot with the roles of data architect and engineer, jobs not exclusive to BI. BI analysts however work exclusively with business data whereas a data analyst does not. The video is more aimed at BI analysts and the skills needed to succeed. Hope this makes sense!

    Hi! How about Python? is it useful for BI? if so, which libraries could you recommend learning?

    • @LearnBI
      @LearnBI  2 года назад +4

      For Business Intelligence you don't need to know Python because most BI projects don't call for the kinds of analysis that Python is built for. In BI you'll be mostly aggregating and visualising business data using SQL and BI tools that were built for BI. If you want to become a data scientist then you'll definitely need to study Python but that's a different channel 😁

    • @michael_dugan
      @michael_dugan 2 года назад

      I had to take a Python course to get my degree in business intelligence in addition to SQL. I think it’s useful for BI

    • @LearnBI

    my college offers business analytics and project management-IT combo course. Upon doing these two courses, can I be an IT Business Analyst/ consultant that works more towards the management side?

    • @LearnBI
      @LearnBI  2 года назад +1

      Without knowing exactly what these 2 courses teach, it's difficult to say. I think you would need to start off in a more junior position as a first job to learn the ropes and build up experience. A lot of things you will learn on the job that you wont learn from any course.

    • @saadhafeez9171
      @saadhafeez9171 2 года назад

      @@vidanteandra358 Business development is a Business to Business sales job like selling long term contracts on a particular service etc., while BI is a technical job. you need BI tools to manipulate and visualize data of your company for data driven decision making.

      I think that if you already have Excel skills, the next thing to do would be to go beyond Excel by learning to use a BI tool like Google Data Studio (www.vitaminbi.education). I would then learn how to query data using SQL. Then you would have more on your CV to be able to start looking at getting into the field. Hope this helps!

    • @LearnBI

      To start in BI you'd only really need to know SQL but that can be fairly easily learned (start here: ruclips.net/video/kbKty5ZVKMY/видео.html). After that it would depend on the company you work for as to whether you'd need to get to grips with other programming languages like Python.

    Do BI and Data analyst (analysis)are same?

    • @LearnBI

      There’s a lot of crossover but not the same. BI deals strictly with business data, data analysts can work with any kind of data.

      Can we use NoSQL instead of SQL for data analysis using tableau??

    • @LearnBI
      @LearnBI  2 года назад

      You can. For example, Tableau has a native MongoDB connector and that is NoSQL. But, obviously, the data would need to be stored in MongoDB.

      For Business Intelligence, not really. Can't hurt to know some but you're better off learning SQL.
