when i told my mum i didn’t want to do medicine, she was fuming for months. she still isn’t entirely supportive but that’s just a small price to pay for the beautiful future ive been blessed with in following my heart. I have been offered a place at the University of Oxford to do French and i could not be more elated :) so technically i already knew all of this advice but i have just come across your vid and i love your personality, so i will be subscribing! much love from the UK 💛✨
Great advice! Another good girl boss tip would be to be proud of your accomplishments. Don’t spend time dwelling on your mistakes when there is always room to improve and get better.
I loved all these tips, but especially your tip on being picky and choosing where to invest your time/waterring plants in your garden of life. One of my girl boss habits is to be thankful for all the things in your life and being proactive about your gratefulness. Thinking about how you have a roof over your head, running water, a bed to sleep in, food for breakfast, WiFi connection, and honestly anything in your life is a great way to center yourself and happy about what you have. It also helps you be more appreciative of of small joys.
YES! Totally agree!! Love this. I always tell people that I think the secret to happiness and positivity in life is through being grateful for all the wonderful and amazing things you have in life. :) I think daily gratitude and have a gratitude list is essential.
LOVE the idea that your minutes are a finite jug of water-and you have to decide what areas of the garden to water. Such a good metaphor that really makes you question "do I want to use my valuable H20 on this!?!" Thank you!
Girl... Yes! I went into the medical field thinking it was for me. And I succeeded and was great but it didn't make me feel fulfilled. And for a while I felt bad because being in the medical field I helped other people health wise... but I wasn't helping myself. I finally left about 3 months ago to run a landscaping business. Yes. LANDSCAPING. But I have never been more happy! I am challenged daily and that fulfills me. Long term goal is to take this business to 1M in revenue. Short term is to become a better manager for our employees. Cheers to every one hustling. I wish you the best of luck!!

When I watch your videos I literally feel like I'm hanging out with a friend. Also, feel you with the parents/career choices situation. So proud of you for persuing your dream and making it here ❤
I loved this video and I really loved you honesty! ❤ I was in a similar situation when I graduated high school, I started pursuing a degree in the medical field but later decided it wasn't what I wanted but more what my family wanted for me and deciding to no longer pursue that was the best thing I could've done for myself. You have to stay true to who you are and do what you love and have a passion for regardless of what anyone else thinks. ❤
Loving the idea of a vision board! ❤ Something crucial to every girl boss is communicating with confidence! This not only affect people's perceptions of you but also makes people listen to your ideas and opinions!! ❤

It’s so hard as a college student to find yourself, Im in college right now and I’m trying to find a way to tell my family I don’t want to be the person they want me to be because they deem it “successful”. Hopefully soon I can move forward to be truly happy!

I can really relate to what you said. My sister did medical school and my other siblings do university as well and I'm the only one doing college. I never compare myself to my brother and sisters. I'm completely different then the three of them. But everyone else does. Do you know what I mean?
yeah i do. in my case i took a gap year to get in a decent college while everyone around got best colleges in their first attempt. i am trying so hard to let go of the negative thinking.
