Whether we have free will depends a lot on how we define it. It seems to me that the results of all quantum "measurements" are real. That is, everything that can happen really does happen. And every (randomly chosen) version of you in this multiverse thinks that the result of the quantum measurement was random. It's hard to weave free will into such a picture of reality, but every version of a given person thinks they have it.

If every quantum event leads to a new universe, maybe free will is less about the choices we make and more about the consciousness that experiences them. Could it be that our awareness is the true essence of free will, navigating through the infinite branches of reality?
