the relationship and pregnancy overhaul mod is really great. it is public and has a great adoption section that allows for different forms of adoption and allows for you to see who the biological parents are
Is this true? @beepancakes2004 I have had the pregnancy mod for a year and I can't figure out how to do the adoption things. One of my sims is adopted but she's an adult sim. I don't know who her biological parents are but I would like for her to find them. Is there a way to do this?
I wonder if you go back to the online DNA site if possible relatives would pop up there. Or can you put in the grandparent's name and get a family tree to narrow down who to ask. I'm a genealogy addict and have found relatives for adoptees as a hobby. New information and new matches come up online IRL. This probably isn't that deep, though.
Oh wow, this hit home in a not great way, and I kinda knew it would just from the title. Not your fault at all, @Whiny Brit, I love your videos. I’m an adult adoptee and it was totally traumatizing finding out I was adopted when I was 7. Not knowing my ethnic origins or anything really about my biological parents made it very hard to understand myself, and that’s common with adopted children of the generations like me where adoptions were sealed and you were not allowed to access information. Only in the past 2 years have I been, as an adult, been able to request my original birth certificate from my state (US…every state has different laws regarding those adopted under the “closed system.”) I was able to find my biological family in my mid-20s, and reunited with them. It was a truly wonderful experience and I’m extremely close to my birth father and 2 of my half-siblings. I made a lot more sense when I met people who, despite having never even been allowed to hold me, acted just like me, had similar interests, gestures, ways of speaking…it was fascinating! This is a cool mod, although I don’t see myself playing with it just because I don’t want the bad memories coming up. But, awesome that someone created this and thanks for showing the mod off!

There’s a programme in the UK called Long Lost Family which follows different people who have been adopted or are foundlings (babies that are abandoned on the street) that are looking for family. It may help you not to feel alone Mollie. It’s a beautiful programme and there was one recently about finding donor families too. 😊
As a fellow adoptee- big hugs to you ❤ this mod and the lumpinou adoption module from their RPO mod are interesting but I don’t want this too real gameplay in my game either
Yes! His biological parents are addicts that didn't like children and his adoptive parents have loved an supported him since he was a baby but he's mad at them because he thinks they are the reason he doesn't live with them. Very interesting story line
My gameplay has been fairly normal since the update, I think I must just be lucky because I know several people have said their game is totally broken now :(
Yeah please do a video about "patchwork" family ☺️☺️☺️☺️ divorced parents and the children that lives 2 weeks by 1 one parent and then 2 weeks by another parent 😆 Awsome. I would be mad if I had to live in 2 different homes as a child. I would stay with only one parent who I like more and who has a better apartment/home 😌😌😌 If the better parent had a worse apartment, well I think it would be a better option though.
It's so worth it to switch to PC gaming . The last console I bought was XBox 360. The money I would have spent on consoles since then is more than the gaming PC I currently use is worth, and I have no problems running games.
So this only works on kids who were adopted as toddlers or younger? That's disappointing. I have a kid who was adopted as a child who I was hoping I could test this process on, as she's the first adopted kid in my game using this mod.
