I want to say thank you for making this video. Actually gave me confidence to tear this thing apart. It's clearly a planned obsoletion. I want to keep using my CY 22 so I have to repair this.
Great video! Loved your direct approach to the walk through and sharing of some spots where it got sticky ;) Curious if you have a description for that spring at the final drive?
Yes, my dyson collection has gotten out of hand lol. I have 2X-dc17, dc23, dc33, dc35, v6, 2X-dc50, up15, dc39, cy22, dc40, 2X-up13. the brush bar motors on the DC17s make a bad noise but still work and the one UP13 I got out of the trash has a dead primary motor that I cant find affordable properly sized replacement carbon brushes for. Other than that they all work and are spread out between my house and my parents house. I think the up15 is the best overall.
@@lunasstatus1275 I probably will when we get rid of the wall to wall carpeting in my house. Although I keep the older ones around and use them like shop vacs and different ones work better on different floor types.
Thank you so much. I just saved 90$ because of you. I wish you have added gift option.
Inspired me to fix mine. Bits cost a fiver, new Dyson head is £65. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the tutorial. I followed your instructions and fixed the problem on two turbine heads. You saved me a lot of money !!

Im glad to hear it was helpful. Were you successfully able to repair yours? Mine is still going strong off this initial repair.
