One thing I picked up on with vita carnis is whenever the female TTS voice chimes in its usually cultie propaganda. Maybe it’s because I’m American, but the minute I heard the mimics are supposed to be immune to firearms, and that people’s only options are either to run or get into a fetal position , I was incredibly suspicious. Why would a monster made of flesh be able to shrug off buckshot physically ripping it apart? Resistant maybe, but not immune.
One thing I love about this series is how all drawings of humans are ever so slightly off in their proportions - you never get that respite from the creepyness
fun fact about the way the videos recommend preparing food with the Flavor Enhancer: Once food dips below 60 degrees celcius but above 4 degrees celcius it is in the "Temperature Danger Zone" where germs and other bacteria can rapidly multiply and spread. The theory is that the Flavor Enhancer is actually Host of Influence spores and that keeping food in the TDZ prevents the spores from dying off before they can be ingested
it could be something more like a adjusted spores to some how turn people in to more of the creatures sense that would be one way to explain how quickly some of there counts grew with out being noticed
In my opinion, the true theory is that: Vita Carnis itself is the king. Humanity is the critters. Nutrire Co is the critters who fed the Vita Carnis. Vita Carnis is a hive mind that crashed from space. (The ocean.) And Vita Carnis landed on the planet. (The island.) The singularities are transmitters, with all 7 in one place they release a strong enough signal to be found and traced by the other deific hive-mind like entities. (The family.) The communion of the 7 singularities is the king drifting into the "ocean" with a "boat" to reach his "family". Also, I don't think the "family" is going to help us, I think they're gonna pull a colonialism on us and steal all of our resources and bio-mass, and leave the planet as a barren empty rock.

I believe that the Christopher and Janice tape proves that somebody was lying about the mimics hunting patterns as they were not alone or at their most vulnerable
Well to be fair there’s the project done by college students to bring awareness and of course what we were shown as an official set of instructions that would be applied to dealing with mimics because there’s evidence showing the government is helping or at least the cult has people of influence as well as a separate company assisting the carnis species. There’s absolutely people lying to continue feeding the carnis species
Who said that mimic couldn’t have anomalies in their behavior? Id also like to think the closer the mimic gets to becoming an elder mimic, the more ballsy it gets.
Another very interesting thing about how the mimic acted was that after killing Chris it didn’t leave Janice alone to digest him, it specifically went after Janice, and even though Janice ran for like 10 minutes it never stopped pursuing, very strange behavior for a predator whose only goal should be to get a quick meal
@@pdcdinothats the thing though, she didn’t follow the instructions. The two together were not paying attention at all, wandering at night, hence how Chris ended up being attacked. Janice also did not follow the instructions at all, instead of running away either to civilization or until she was certain she wasnt being followed, she led the mimic right to her house, and cornered herself. The sibling attack happened in 1986. The mimic defense tape was released in 1987. None of the siblings paid attention, stood their ground, avoided cornering themselves, because they couldn’t have known to do so. Their recorded death was probably the last straw for countries (and probably C.A.R.C.A.S.) to make the PROPER way to survive a mimic encounter
@@ScriptDefect I find it interesting how the main vita carnis video and the mimic defense tape differ from ideas, the main one says using weapons to attack is pointless, while the defense tape says to aim for the eyes or legs, the main video really feels like its misleading you with some of these creatures
I remember watching the harvester video for the first time. And I was absolutely mortified by the audio and how convincing it was. I am still upset and saddened watching it again because I know what happens but it still scares me. No other analog horror has done this for me
Id like to add that your music choice was on point, from the black ops 1 and 2 sound tracks, to dying light. Especially with the BO2 ending theme at the final video during the breach
I remember watching it for the first time and da just sitting there and questioning myself. Genuinely horrifying video, you'd expect something that disturbing to come from the mimic or the host, but it was the harvester.
i fell asleep watching this video and waking up to 1:05:29 was not fun tbh. this is the only part of any analogue horror series i physically cannot sit through dawg
:( hope you're okay! I absolutely cannot leave my algorithm to choose videos for me while I sleep... I love the way many creators narrate and discuss horror and true crime but it's just not safe enough territory lol. If you're looking for similar intonation etc but not in such terrifying content, I recommend the long form comic book videos. Same level of dedication, passion, etc, but not so intent on being realistic lol
Vita Carnis is actually my favorite and most frustrated with analog horror to date. Mainly, the running trend of unreliable narratives Vita Carnis sounds like yet another hopeless doomsday scenario, and yet all you need to do to survive this setting is simple. Don't use the cursed seasoning, don't leave your house with the doors unlocked, live in the equatorial zone, carry a big gun, a spare gun, and fire at all times, our lovable gas mask, and lastly bring friends! 1. Mimics like hiding in your home, in your furniture and in your walls, keeping your home on lock down every time you enter and leave will keep them out, or at least make their entry an obvious one. 2. Most of the Harvesters live in the north, and the great majority live around the monoliths. Naturally staying away from an ambush predators is the easiest way to avoid it. Having others around to save you on the off chance a harvester is having a beach episode would be recommended, or wear some knightly shin guards, both work. 3. Mimics are said to be bullet proof, if you know how bullets work this spindly excuse for a shy guy would not be able to hold itself together once you have a gun bigger than a cap gun. High powered hunting rifles I would argue would be enough to put one down or at least maim it severely. Naturally you aim for the mouth, where softer tissue is exposed, or the joints like knees and elbows to incapacitate it, and then set it on fire with some readily available molotovs. Elder mimics will be harder but they'll go down all the same, remember the narrator is a liar in analog horrors. 4. Gas masks will protect you from the spore carriers, and friends can keep you from getting caught lacking when one's around. If you're hunting the carrier down, make sure you're stocked on filters and fire, the rest is easy since it can't run very well. 5. Hide from the government, do your best to hand make everything or buy it without leaving a paper trail, since we know mimics are a part of the government now and, to no one's surprise, don't have our best interests in mind. 6. Stay in contact with our friends in CARCASS, given how they're hunted by the government means they're on the right track. Good luck survivors, and remember, stay away from the seasonings.
Mimics are not stated to be bullet proof at all. The original documentary was made by unreliable collage students fed information primarily from the cult. (Other than the singularity that is.) A pistol would most likely be enough to take one down with a well placed shot, higher caliber and automatic weaponry would for sure shred through them. I have reason to believe that the guards in facility-0 were stage two mimics, and they were taken out just as easily as a normal human would be when shot. (Why else would armored guards be unarmed, also look at their fingers!)
@@ScriptDefect The mimic survival portion did say not to fight them, I understand this to be unreliable information (Generally how Analog horrors go) but this is still part of official documentation of how to "not" get merced by a mimic. Which is clearly made by a mimic as a guide to make it easier for them to hunt you. I was giving mimics the benefit of the doubt and said high caliber as to not underplay the threat of them. I was also referring to the 21:50 to 22:15 segments of the video where "Weapons are basically useless" which only showed a bat and a gat. If I'm wrong and they're worse at stopping kill tacs it makes my survival guide easier.
@@tristanjones9839 that documentation was outdated, and made by collage students. Mimics are probably weak to, literally everything to be fair. They are stealth hunters for a reason, to assume a group of people could jump a mimic probably wouldn’t be an understatement. They avoid the POSSIBILITY of a threat for a reason
@@ScriptDefect And yet mimics seem to go "inert" after eating and stay out in the open seemingly at will so. Not sure how far they push the ambush hunter survival instincts. And yeah, no doubt a group of people could take down a mimic, safety in numbers and all, which is why I said bring friends.
I think the mimics are not bulletproof, since the the same tape that stated that, also said that running away from a mimic is the best course of action, allegedly because they lose interest in fleeing prey, which we know to be a lie because we saw one run down and kill Janice, in other words, the second PSA is correct, and gunfire or sufficiently strong melee weaponry will at worst level the playing field, and at best, will kill the bastard.
Another theory is that the improved flavor enhancer is actually the spores used by the hosts of influence for either similar reasons of sacrifice or to gain more members since anyone who consumes the enhancer displays very similar symptoms to that of inhaling the spores
I actually second this but also to add onto the fact that each episode after the living meat documentary highlight each carnis in their own video- in order ( trimming care video, meat snake documentary, mimic found while filming, the harvest family one, and especially the flavor enhancer one, etc.) and, coincidentally, where the host of influence video should show up in order, it is instead the flavor enhancer video.
@@simonmann4922 and adding on to that? The color of the flavor enhancer is also the same color as the spores. (I'm reading comments before watching lmao so idk if either of these things are pointed out) this makes sense as the logo for nutriorco is the same as the cult, the prince's sail, and the singularity. They're all connected, and in my headcannon it's the cult working to some end goal with the singularity and using the flavor enhancer in some way to achieve said goal
It IS the spores. In uncovered documents you see a raw spore under a microscope (the hairy cell) and then a flavor enhancer under a microscope. The hairs are inside of both of them. Though flavor enhancer isn’t actual spores, its a much toned down version, and only causes frontal lobe decay. (Makes you less intelligent, numbing you to the cult)
I like to think that because the harvesters have some sort of sentience (i assume since they are moving) the reason the mother and child were dragged underground before they bled out is because the harvester was in a rush to get to the bay, and didn't want to wait.
What I like about this series is that it shows that these Eldritch entities are more or less just any other animal. Just more.... different..... for the most part.
Not _quite._ They're all *invasive.* They outcompete. Plants. Prey. Scavengers. Humans. Big fauna. All usurped. The Host (and its cults) is an answer to human _society._
One thing that doesn't sit right with me was the fact that... the monoliths let the attack happen. Keep in mind, the monoliths have the capacity to neutralise and incapcitate armed force which pose a threat, and if we are following the presumption that the cult and the vita carnis are working together, why wouldn't the monoliths percieve the attack as a threat and not kill them immediately? I'm sure everyone is also doubting (given the release of the teaser that shows the attack was successful) how "easy" it was. Hopefully S2 clarifies this more
It could be that the monoliths have senory organd as well, we know they either see, hear or feel vibrations (they attacked a car) But all 3 of those would not easyly be able to detect soldiers on foot ( night, snow to dampen footsteps, low sound) This could also be the reason for the harvester transition, recognising that a foot attack could be effective and trying to use harvesters as defence (Luckyly having a weak area around a perimeter)
When the prince slept, did his magic stop the island critters from arguing? Did it compel the kind critters to feed him; did it help them? No. The critters are but dust in the wind to the protective mechanisms of the prince's magic. If they tried to harm him, it would strike them down. But otherwise, he simply sleeps, and anything they do is but nothing to the prince or his magic. In other words, if they attacked the monolith, or god forbid the singularity, the monoliths would act. But the cultists?
Not to mention the cross-contamination! That curring board was VILE from cutting the crawl, and they just throw those greens on there and start chopping away without washing anything!
Yeah and also not cleaning (or changing) the cutting board. Its either a meta joke about how anyone who actually knew how to cook would choose LITERALLY any ingredient other than crawl, or Darian genuinely doesnt know how to cook. Either way it worked
My theory on why the trimmings are so attracted to radio stations and signals is because they are listening for wavelengths linked to the singularity. Also this is a bit of speculation. But the Monoliths are most likey guarding the singularity and the facts that the area around them is fenced off and some organisation likes to keep info about the monoliths and singularity secret make this likely.
But there are seven Singularities and there's no mention that Monoliths surrounded the other seven. Instead there are seven Monoliths, as if waiting for the rest of the Singularities to be gathered to them. It's true that early videos make it seem like they're guarding the Singularity but as we get more information it seems more likely that someone (an early version of the cult?) brought the first Singularity there in preparation for when the others were located and moved.
I assume the same organization that feeds the meat snakes is also protecting the mimics. They may be sheltering a spawning area and dropping off grown specimens in good feeding grounds. That, or the mimics spawn too fast/numerous to wipe out.
The crawl is absolutely EVERYWHERE. We can't even get kudzu under control in the southern US, how do you think we'd fair trying to keep watch on billions of crawl in remote/difficult to access areas?
Carcas also killed at least one Mimic, likely two, inside of Facility 0. The guards in the stairwell that are taken down during the advance, the one on the left if you look closely has very long fingers. Which means that Mimics can absolutely be killed by traditional firearms.
i really dont get why they'd harvest the crawl in the first place? it doesnt benefit humans directly at all really apart from creating newer versions of itself that get more and more dangerous
@@outofpotates41 Doesn't it create organic-rich soil? Or compost at least? Been a while since I watched the series but I thought when the Crawl decomposes it has similar, if not better, properties than manure and artificial fertilizers.
@@derpy9452 ah yeah i forgot about that aspect, but if u rlly think ab it is some fertile soil really worth it when so many people's lives are at stake? i mean maybe they could develop some sort of technology that prevents the crawl from creating the rest of the meat creatures but im not too sure
@@waffleweirdo1252 im not sure how fast they reproduce but when the crawl "matures" it mkes those other beings. like yeah at LEAST get rid of the mimics while u can
The reason why it’s the “abbreviated flesh” is because google translate is the worst thing in the universe, “abbreviatus” translates to “abrasion” the abrasion flesh, refers to how they’re hurt or damaged, probably meaning that to get to that stage also includes getting hurt along the way
I know mimics are pretty smart, but I wonder if they gain some sort of consciousness or awareness present in humans (speech, emotions(?), etc.,) when they gain the usual characteristics (skin, hair, etc.,) Probally not, but it’d be cool to have antagonists in Vita Carnis being “False Humans” , who could be dismissed as humans from a glance, but are actually Mimics only able to retain their appearance and human-like behaviour through their steady diet.
So two things, number 1 is, yknow how when a mimic has too much food it gets black “skin” and it’s tougher? Yea just like that meat snake, also number 2 is my personal explanation why the meat snake had the egg smell was to lure dying soldiers to it, like the smell of fresh home cooked eggs in the morning.
My theory is the mimics are killable, just not with a type of gun the general public would have. The thing that kills them is a stabbing or piercing weapon.
The Mimic introduction video separated from the complete version ends with the aftermath of the attack on the closet, the victim 1 was devoured inside the closet, while Genet was killed out of a closet (probably in the same hallway she was in when Mimic was at the door seconds earlier in the recording). The cameras also fell in opposite places, the first fell with its back to the victim, then the second fell looking at Genet and Mimic. So it is more likely that they are different attacks. The location of the attacks are also different.
Tbh it is somewhat realistic. After all, "what if the military can somehow weaponize this" and "how can we maybe profit off of this"? is probably their first thought rather than destroying it
I love that they're like "yeah there's this lost Eldritch entity and it is causing its twisted idea of 'healing' in nature to overtake humanity and is calling its brethren to come make it worse" and then it's just the dragon balls
This would be such a cool show, imagine watching some guys hunt these things. Couple of meat things would stand no chance against your average Florida man
I like how all these families and couples are going on hikes and walking around at night with all the harvesters, mimics and other otherwordly super predators around
Woohoo, so glad this vid popped up! Thought more content had come out, but was glad to get the refresher. Video was very easy to follow the whole way thru; you did a great job structuring the story into a long format. Very clean vid, awesome job!
I love this video!! It’s awesome! I really wish that the video where the child dies had a child death and screaming warning, I know it says loud noises and graphic content, but I can handle those for the most part, child death is something I gotta take like 20 minutes to prepare before watching or learning about. Other than that, this series is awesome! The art style is amazing and I just love the concept! Thanks for making a refresher!
Put off watching this video since I want to watch it all and man was I doing a disservice to myself. One of the best videos on Vita Carnis out there. You’ve done incredible work and I hope you continue to make such work! I hope you blow up in the algorithm.
I know a lot of these projects have limited budgets but the mimic suit has to be the goofiest shit in existence. My dread was mounting when Chris disappeared only for me to see the suit and start laughing. This story is still rad as hell though, love the focus on the ecology of the carnie's.
great video only a small thing i'd like to posit is that i think there is only one meat snake considering that the dates and sizes line up to me in a way that suggests the snake was found twice first in 45 at roughly 30 meters and then a second time two years later in 47 having been relocated and fed by the cult growing 10 meters in length before its discovery this time unable to be moved again
Yoo dude i just had a idea of a anolog horror, where the monsters are just humans while the main pov of the series is a alian life form that is being invaded by man
7 monoliths, 7 Singularities. Both of them are also shown to have magnetic adjacent abilities. Grab my tinfoil hat because I’m convinced this has some significance.
1:38:45 My guess is that it has something to do with giving the Host of influence more sacrifices considering the “Flavor Enhancer” has pretty good evidence to support the fact that it’s made out of ITS spores, we also have to consider the fact that in the crawl penne video that the person who’s cooking is wearing stuff like gloves & a gas mask.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Crawl was based on Kudzu. Very beneficial, quite versatile, and mankind (in the South) cultivated it because of this. However, if left unchecked, it is a threat to the ecosystem. (Or in this case, humanity)

I think the monoliths are vessels / bodies waiting for their hosts / pilots / operators When the prince returns with his family they will embody them. The spheres are the link and could fit in the monoliths head maybe? Either way I think they are waiting, only defending themselves until they are properly commanded / operated. Just a thought :)
I really love the shot at 42:27, I keep thinking about it in the actual series because like just setting up a camera out of universe to this puppet and throwing a ball at it and it's just completely still, that's perfect comedy.
I dont think the vita carnis is there to provide for humanity as the "help" the prince promised; i think within the popular theory, the vita carnis on earth is analogous to the magic of the prince, the prince being the singularities or whatever is waiting to communicate through them. The vita carnis is waiting for this entity to awake, is keeping the entity safe and alive, and if the cult awakes it early, perhaps the entity WILL promise to help humanity - and that may come as more vita carnis - but that will come *once the entity has left and returned with something bigger*. Remember, the prince simply gave a display of his powers, then left, promising to help the critters *once he returned*. Another slightly terrifying, unrelated note. The mature humanlike mimic- if that carries on unhalted, could they become indistinguishable from humans? Could they speak, live and work among people? Could they enter government jobs?
1:05:01 This is the only thing that I just could not watch. The screams and visuals are one of the few things to genuinely scare the crap outta me. Good work on part of Vita-Carnis.
For me it's more disturbing because it's a child being brutally killed by Havster, and soon after it's the mother in complete horror. This video is really disturbing...😢

Just chanced upon this video after watching all of Doctor Nowhere's content. Never seen this channel before, but gods am I glad it piqued my curiosity. The coverage was pretty thorough, the production quality was stellar, and I got to revisit Vita Carnis in a more in-depth analysis type video, which I prefer over actually watching the horror itself (specifically in larger-scale projects like Vita Carnis). Some of my thoughts, the Harvester scene I think was unnecessarily gruesome. I wasnt personally shaken by it, generally suspense scares me more than actual horror for some reason, but it just felt out of place and excessive in execution, especially since every other death is just implied or showcased without any gore. I couldn't help but chuckle every once in a while at the mention of the "meat snake", especially with the large ones that got stuck the jokes just write themselves (hey, they're the ones who called them "meat snakes" when none of the other monsters have a similar naming scheme, of course it's gonna stand out).
I think the prince is the carnis and the critters are one group of humans that want to help them later the cult with the food enhancement and the other that didn’t as it does say most decided it was to dangerous
Using bo2 main menu music to first give a glitchy camera/creepy music theme towards the end of the video, then as it gets more epic using it to make the facility-0 infiltration more amazing is such a rad choice of music and sound implementation
The way the armored core VI music in the intro got my attention like a dog hearing its name lmao Was originally just playing RUclips for background noise as I draw stuff and now my full attention has been gained lol
I’m sure this isn’t an unpopular theory but I believe people eating the Vita are becoming Mimics after death, once the sprawl gets in contact with their corpse. Might explain the explosive rate of Mimics
maybe the world and/or universe this crawl thing originates from only has crawl on it. so it grows everything itself, including its own food ie the trim things. no doubt there are or were no humans were they are from and this is how it survived and "entertained" itself. the movie "the thing" comes to mind. a being that ultimately would be the only life on whatever planet it exists on.
I think the only part I don’t like about Vita carnis is The Harvester video It felt like “The Painter” series video for how needlessly violent and dark it was with no real point. Yeah, with the Mimic videos it was shown eating people but at least we didn’t see any detailed gore from it That aside, this analog horror is fricking awesome for all the worldbuilding and horror it makes
In an interview the creator was excited to showcase found footage with the host of influence but he did make it needlessly edgy as people were saying the series wasn’t scary enough
If my theory about the family is correct, it could actually add a lot of context to the story, mainly Vincent’s motivations. I can understand the this take though 👍🏻
i gave it some thought recently and now think it’s important because of your theory, The guy teaming up with C.A.R.C.A.S to take down the Vita Carnis after they killed his family must be what the creator is setting up and it sounds interesting It’s just that I wish that the harvester video showed something like the harvesters moving and the family members being crossed out than the face melting stuff
@@FuuFreak5 i mean, its actually a good point maker, they show you what they are capable of doing, while showing vincent's family getting destroyed, i think a gore aproach was the best way of portraying the harvester
@meandtheboyss I agree since unlike with the painter we had little to no idea the extent of how terrifying a harvester attack is or how it would be to experience while the painter basically shoves it in your head how disturbing the two killers kills are this means thiers alot more payoff to the harvester attack scene since we were given relatively vague details to how it would happen
You also got to realize that Vincent’s wanted poster shows his date of birth, 1968. That would make him only 12 years old when his father was killed in 1980.

@@TitusCastiglione1503 listen, nothing is immune to gunfire. Resistant, sure, but you get a big enough caliber and eventually itll crack like an egg.

fun fact about the way the videos recommend preparing food with the Flavor Enhancer: Once food dips below 60 degrees celcius but above 4 degrees celcius it is in the "Temperature Danger Zone" where germs and other bacteria can rapidly multiply and spread.
@@qvcybeyou make zero sense!
Its the host spores for sure @@qvcybe
@@qvcybeyeah no, it just causes frontal lobe decay. The population of mimics exploded because the government refused to handle them
They actually do make sense. They just made too many typos 😭
In my opinion, the true theory is that:
Vita Carnis itself is the king.
Humanity is the critters.
Nutrire Co is the critters who fed the Vita Carnis.
Vita Carnis is a hive mind that crashed from space. (The ocean.)
And Vita Carnis landed on the planet. (The island.)
The singularities are transmitters, with all 7 in one place they release a strong enough signal to be found and traced by the other deific hive-mind like entities. (The family.)
The communion of the 7 singularities is the king drifting into the "ocean" with a "boat" to reach his "family".

The mimics just somehow manage to be the most haunting thing from any analogue horror ever.
And they work so well despite being a mix of the two most overused horror concepts, the smile monster and the mimick monster
And the irony being is that they're VERY easy to kill. Meaning most people, if spotted by a mimic, could absolutely take it out.
i fell asleep watching this video and waking up to 1:05:29 was not fun tbh. this is the only part of any analogue horror series i physically cannot sit through dawg
The harvester video is incredibly disturbing.
yea, that part messed me up for a bit, i feel you.

Choo chooooooo! I worked very hard to forget the lore but here I am again!!! 😂🎉
Yoooo! It's out now!
@@speedygonlas1200 holy crap you’re right, there’s no host specific video besides this one that’s genius!
I was definitely of the understanding that the flavour enhancer was just spores!
Just more.... different..... for the most part.
our ass no longer the smash bros 4 bayonetta :(

They're all *invasive.*
They outcompete.

Scavengers.
Humans.

The Host (and its cults) is an answer to human _society._
This comment is algorithm food because hard work like this needs to get seen more
One thing that doesn't sit right with me was the fact that... the monoliths let the attack happen.
Hopefully S2 clarifies this more
It could be that the monoliths have senory organd as well, we know they either see, hear or feel vibrations (they attacked a car)
But all 3 of those would not easyly be able to detect soldiers on foot ( night, snow to dampen footsteps, low sound)
This could also be the reason for the harvester transition, recognising that a foot attack could be effective and trying to use harvesters as defence
(Luckyly having a weak area around a perimeter)
When the prince slept, did his magic stop the island critters from arguing? Did it compel the kind critters to feed him; did it help them?
No. The critters are but dust in the wind to the protective mechanisms of the prince's magic. If they tried to harm him, it would strike them down. But otherwise, he simply sleeps, and anything they do is but nothing to the prince or his magic.
In other words, if they attacked the monolith, or god forbid the singularity, the monoliths would act. But the cultists?
The cooking segment bothered me, not because of the appearance or the sound, but because of how dull that knife is and how poorly they cut it.
@@wallysullivan9315Darian confirmed it was intentional on his part.
Me I am just disgusted by the idea of the taste of cold meat and cinnamon.
Or the fact it's just meat on bare noodles with no sauce...
the instructions to survive a mimic attack kind sound like a mimic is trying to help others get an easy meal
@@Goldenkitten1 7 Singularities, 7 Monoliths?
Hmmmmmmm...
One thing I don't understand, we know what the Mimics look like as they're immature, why doesn't humanity cull them right as they drop off the crawl?
I assume the same organization that feeds the meat snakes is also protecting the mimics. They may be sheltering a spawning area and dropping off grown specimens in good feeding grounds. That, or the mimics spawn too fast/numerous to wipe out.
The crawl is absolutely EVERYWHERE. We can't even get kudzu under control in the southern US, how do you think we'd fair trying to keep watch on billions of crawl in remote/difficult to access areas?
You cant catch them all lol
The crawl probably doesn't spawn mimics in populated areas.
Carcas also killed at least one Mimic, likely two, inside of Facility 0. The guards in the stairwell that are taken down during the advance, the one on the left if you look closely has very long fingers. Which means that Mimics can absolutely be killed by traditional firearms.
Wouldn't a farm growing the crawl be an insanely stupid idea if it spawns all the other versions given how dangerous 2 of the species are
i really dont get why they'd harvest the crawl in the first place? it doesnt benefit humans directly at all really apart from creating newer versions of itself that get more and more dangerous
You could monitor them daily (hourly? how fast do these things reproduce?) and make sure to kill any baby mimics or harvesters?
Bro when the woman screams when she gets caught by the harvester sounds like my sister irl that freaked me the fuck out man
My theory is the mimics are killable, just not with a type of gun the general public would have. The thing that kills them is a stabbing or piercing weapon.
you mean like a bullet?
The Mimic introduction video separated from the complete version ends with the aftermath of the attack on the closet, the victim 1 was devoured inside the closet, while Genet was killed out of a closet (probably in the same hallway she was in when Mimic was at the door seconds earlier in the recording). The cameras also fell in opposite places, the first fell with its back to the victim, then the second fell looking at Genet and Mimic. So it is more likely that they are different attacks. The location of the attacks are also different.
Whata weird to me is that in the AU their first idea was not kill it with fire but to incorporate it and make warnings.
Tbh it is somewhat realistic. After all, "what if the military can somehow weaponize this" and "how can we maybe profit off of this"? is probably their first thought rather than destroying it
@@SpecialInterestShowI actually disagree completely, I think there’s no way in hell we wouldn’t just burn all this crap away in fire.
The Crawl wasn't very harmful.... back in the 1900s.

Good point I didn’t consider that 👍🏻

I think the monoliths are vessels / bodies waiting for their hosts / pilots / operators
When the prince returns with his family they will embody them.
The spheres are the link and could fit in the monoliths head maybe?
Either way I think they are waiting, only defending themselves until they are properly commanded / operated.
Just a thought :)
Maybe that one time the monolith got aggressive was a time when it got operated by one of the singularities
I really love the shot at 42:27, I keep thinking about it in the actual series because like just setting up a camera out of universe to this puppet and throwing a ball at it and it's just completely still, that's perfect comedy.
I recognized the cod music that you put in the vid, it gave it a nice SPICY TOUCH 👍
Currently chilin in my closet and watching the Mimic section, wish me luck guys-
bro... did you survive the encoumter?
Guess not.

This is the only thing that I just could not watch. The screams and visuals are one of the few things to genuinely scare the crap outta me.
Good work on part of Vita-Carnis.
For me it's more disturbing because it's a child being brutally killed by Havster, and soon after it's the mother in complete horror. This video is really disturbing...😢

The last scene of the last tape was the type of climax we need. Heavy fire with epic music.
Buckshot versus mimic? Yeah I’d take that bet.
The way the armored core VI music in the intro got my attention like a dog hearing its name lmao

I watched the series as it came out. Its one of the most intriguing series i've ever seen. But the harvester episode... yeah
maybe the world and/or universe this crawl thing originates from only has crawl on it. so it grows everything itself, including its own food ie the trim things. no doubt there are or were no humans were they are from and this is how it survived and "entertained" itself. the movie "the thing" comes to mind. a being that ultimately would be the only life on whatever planet it exists on.
Gonna be fire as always I already know edit: how do you not have like 1m subs your production value is 🔛🔝
hell yea, i got introduced to you with your grey lock video and i need more
Have you heard of The Plymouth Pages analog horror series? It's kinda obscure but it's one of my favorites
Haven’t heard of it. I’ll check it out!
I think the only part I don’t like about Vita carnis is The Harvester video
It felt like “The Painter” series video for how needlessly violent and dark it was with no real point.
Yeah, with the Mimic videos it was shown eating people but at least we didn’t see any detailed gore from it
That aside, this analog horror is fricking awesome for all the worldbuilding and horror it makes
In an interview the creator was excited to showcase found footage with the host of influence but he did make it needlessly edgy as people were saying the series wasn’t scary enough
If my theory about the family is correct, it could actually add a lot of context to the story, mainly Vincent’s motivations. I can understand the this take though 👍🏻
i gave it some thought recently and now think it’s important because of your theory,
The guy teaming up with C.A.R.C.A.S to take down the Vita Carnis after they killed his family must be what the creator is setting up and it sounds interesting
It’s just that I wish that the harvester video showed something like the harvesters moving and the family members being crossed out than the face melting stuff
You gained a sub, good job, keep it going!
Brother, the black ops music is fucking peak, I love it.
mimic jump scare is top notch
I love who we started as ( oh just another analog horror ) to some call of duty zombies type lore and the end BLACK OPS 2 THEME
The intro to this video is sick 🔥🔥🔥
