Naomi Oni was doused in sulphuric acid in 2012 after being stalked across London by an attacker. Since 2012, the number of acid attacks in the UK has doubled, with two occurring every single day, with 450 occurring last year in London alone.
Corrosive substances, also known as "face-melters," have largely replaced knives as the weapon of choice for gangs and those looking to inflict maximum harm on their unfortunate victims.
These assaults have devastating physical and psychological consequences. A victim's life, as well as the lives of their families, children, and partners, is irreversibly changed in a moment.
This gripping documentary tells the true story of one of the most disturbing and bizarre acid attacks in recent memory. It's a twisting tale of betrayal, deception, and destruction.

So true, I had 2 gfriends in my 20s that both were that types secretly hating of me. One actually hit me to start a fight ! The other showed herself eventually, in bed with my boyfriend!! The betrayal hurt but nothing like this absolutely horrific act of such cruelty. She should have had the book thrown at her & locked up for good...god bless Naomi..x

I'm a 62 years old army veteran. This documentary made my eyes leak. I'll never understand how evil some people can be. The physical and mental suffering is hard to imagine. A 12 years prison sentence for this kind of evil isn't justice. To you, Naomi, I wish you a healthy life overflowing with love and happiness.
The sad thing is when someone tries to report these people, more often than not the authorities will assume the reporter is the one that's mentally unstable.

Yes, God had different plans. Even in the bad, sometimes horrific and tragic things, God allows these things for His purposes. I see the Lord's grace and mercy in this situation as well. Praying Naomi finds her way to the cross and comes to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ ( if she hasn't already.)

Mary's self-hatred, which was brought on by a low self-esteem and inferiority complex, led her to commit this heinous act against her "friend". She isn't crazy, just sick in her soul. The very thought of Naomi being friends with Mary for 10 years and never seeing something like this coming gives me chills, and proves what a wicked and evil person Mary truly is. So unfair that she received a 12-year prison sentence while her victim received a life sentence. Naomi is still a beautiful woman, inside and out! 🤩

She was happy, confident and somewhat popular so that meant she was insecure and needed to be the center of attention??? These women are not her friends at all. Burn treatment is probably the worst medical treatment any person could ever be subjected to. My dad, a fireman of 30+ years, always said if he got burned up in a fire to just throw him back in. He didn't want to survive and go thru what burn victims have to endure. This woman is truly amazing, and has a pure heart and soul. I truly hope the rest of her life is phenomenal, and that she finds love and happiness at every turn

Her heart is gorgeous and the fact that she can continue to smile made my wife say, "I wonder if she realizes that she is one of the TRUELY beautiful people on this Earth!" This was a pure case of JEALOUSY! She tried to destroy her physical beauty and she came out still looking more beautiful than the evil beast that did that to her. And they way the morning host anchor just jumped up to hug her was pure compassion. He really showed how much he cared and wanted to catch the person who did this to her

It’s scary to think how many Marys there are that walk among us everyday. These types of documentaries make me feel very paranoid but I think they are a good reminder to always be careful who you associate with and to keep people at arms length because the truth is you can never trust anyone 100% even if they seem nice on the outside because they can actually be horrible, evil, sociopathic people. I can’t imagine the pain that poor Naomi went through, not just from the acid attack itself but from the betrayal that someone who she thought was her best friend would turn on her to the point of disfiguring her for life and having no remorse about doing either. I hope Naomi gets nothing but the best because she deserves it after everything she’s been through 💕💖
no surprise, theres lots of Marys they just dont have the will to actually go through with it, the amount of jealousy I see everywhere, for example I see it under videos of 600lb life and me when the obese person has a loving good looking partner and the comments are full of people jealous and making nasty comments about the obese person for finding a partner like them while theyre single or with a bad guy
