02:39 = breathtakingly beautiful! The way that subtle sunlight drapes itself over the mountains, complimented by the early morning mist, is just unreal. Great upload! 👍🏻

I flew to Papeete Tahiti right after 9/11. It was around 9/26/2001...what an amazing flight, the landing was stunning on a Air France 747 Jumbo. As we landed I could see many armed military with assault rifles around the airport parameter, and I could see many native Tahitian bungalow homes surrounding the airport with many..many young and old natives on and around their homes smiling and waving, it was so moving...beautiful Tahiti.😊✌

Took this flight in 1997. So beautiful flying in at daylight as the clouds part, allowing you to see what you will be in for. Thanks for posting! I do remember hearing all the mosquitoes rejoice upon my arrival though.

Why are people clapping for? they are just doing their job.

A job that involves the lives of 100s of passengers, people showing their appreciation for a job well done. Years ago people always applauded the pilot on touchdown.
