Wow i can't wait to go to tahiti. i just need somE muneh, faith and plan. I also want to grow some mango trees. But maybe i can also go there with a Trolley
As a local, Maupiti and Moorea 100%. I can tell you've definitely done your homework and know what makes each of these islands and archipalegos special and unique. You are right... There are still 100s of other beautiful and unique islands to explore in French Polynesia so come back for more :) Quality content!
Wow I’m jealous you live in Moorea and Maupiti. Truly is one of the most incredible places on earth. I’d love to explore the lesser known islands. Do you have a favorite island?
I moved to Utah recently for work but grew up in those islands 😊 I go back once a year to visit my family. Another great island that’s still wild, pretty, untouched and rich in history is Huahine. Just like Maupiti they are against big development projects who commercialize the place so still looks wild and raw. Check out the local blue eyed eels (only found there) you can get up real close to them. Another favorite for its beauty and blue colors is in the Austral islands, called Raivavae. There’s a motu called motu piscine (French for pool) because the colors and shape resemble a turquoise pool. I would say this one is even more untouched than Huahine because it’s further from Tahiti. The internet might be spotty on one side of the island so get ready haha
Moorea island is incredible, you're right, we are so lucky to live there and happy to welcome guests from all around the world in our little paradise !
This is a dream of mine! I discovered the scenery video about a year ago, and I have been coming back to it every once in a while since. This seems like another world. So lush, so beautiful. Truly paradise. 🌴
Paradise 🥰🥰🥰 Really hard to choose which I like the most, I LOVE all! The blue chrystal water is just amazing! Thanks for sharing, Ryan. I love the destination diversity of your channel! So many beauty in our world 👍👍
@@RyanShirley I was on Fakarava, Rangiroa, Moorea and Tahiti. It was really a great time and i loved to go diving there 😀 But it was veeeeery expensive! How did you mangage these high costs?
We were there last month, besides the beauty. Which is jaw dropping, the way of life and the people to me make it amazing. We are getting our residency to move there now!
I completely agree with their way of life, it’s so much more laid back and relaxed in a great way and makes you appreciate life more. What islands did you visit?
We stay in Tahiti at the end of teahupo’o road and on Mo’orea for 5 weeks. Absolutely amazing, we’ve also traveled all over the world and hold 3 citizenships in US, Colombia and Portugal and certainly believe FP to be the healthiest society to raise children and live a happy life close to nature and the sea. Of course our life in US offered us unparalleled convenience and products but after many years living as a consumer, I want to be a producer.
It's great that you saw so much of French Polynesia. I believe most people see Tahiti and Bora Bora and that's it. The mountains make the island of Tahiti look so spectacular. Did you see much of Papeete? You didn't mention the city, but I would be interested in your opinion of it. I think I've probably flown over the area on my way to New Zealand and Australia but never went there. Was there much of a language barrier or do you speak French? I've been enjoying your visits to these new areas of the world this year.
Thanks so much John! I was really impressed by Tahiti, I wish I would’ve explored more of it and hiked to its highest point. I drove through Papeete and got McDonald’s a few times. It was a really nice city but I preferred driving along the costal roads outside of it. Less traffic. And most people spoke English which was great. Hope you can visit French polynesia soon 😁🏝️🇵🇫
Moorea is Tahiti's most Anglicized island; everyone is English-fluent there. Because I noticed that's the island that Americans, Aussies and Kiwis always visit, so Moorea is soaked in 3 different English speaking nationalities 24/7/365. The English language has a funny habit of always being more dominant than local languages wherever English goes.
Absolutely GORGEOUS!! I watch this video every night as I eat my salad (I hate salads but know they are good for me, so the only way I can stomach them is to watch something as beautiful as this, :). Keep the vlogs coming!! Your girlfriend is so beautiful and looks like the sweetest. xoxo from Utah, USA.
Wow, such a beautiful video. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience’s. I just got back from a month long trip in Italy, and you motivated me to take that trip! It was the best experience ever, ✌️ thanks Ryan
I really liked your video, super informative (my kind of info I like to hear) and no annoying random music and fluff like other travel videos. I plan to go there a 3rd time one day. 1st was with fam and 2nd was with my gf. So far I've hit up Bora Bora and Mo'orea then Taha'a. Next time we go, it'll be Huahine, Mo'orea (for my gf) and maybe Rangiroa or Fakarava.
As alway this video makes me want to go! Your drone footage is gold!!! Wow stunning views!!! You are the best ! Always waiting for what you put out next!
Awesome video Ryan. Are you planning to visit anywhere else in the South Pacific? I remember watching videos of Motu Tane years ago and falling in love with Bora Bora.
Wow Ryan! French Polynesia is awesome... It's been 3 years since covid, I live in Idaho now for 1 year, left Maui last summer. Thought of you today, saw a news article that starting 2024, American citizens will need a visa to travel to Europe.
Ryan, beautiful video. May I point out that Wikipedia agrees with what I suspected is the proper pronunciation of Teahupo'o = tay-ah-poo-HOE-oh? The mar-KEY-sus (Marquesas) are actually the mar-KAY-sahss. Also, since there's no apostrophe in Raiatea, rather than RAH-ee-uh-tay-uh, it's rye-ah-TAY-ah, which can also be said for Maupiti, which is mau-PEA-tea, rather than ma-oo-PEA-tea. I was there during a 4-month loop around the Pacific (Hawaii, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines, Singapore, Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Cook Islands, and French Polynesia, where I either stayed in a pension with a local family, or on a moored platform over the edge of the lagoon. They're all beautiful, but of Tahiti, Bora Bora, Raiatea, Taha'a, Huahine, and Moorea, I'd have to pick both 2 and 6, if picking 2 is legal.😀
Always, excellent video. Thank you guys. We just booked our flights to Tahiti from Austin. Going there in November. It is too hard to decide what island we should visit. We booked only 5 nights in bora bora. Planning to get Air Tahiti Pass to see another 3-4 island for 15 days. Second island will be Moorea for 3-4 days.

My late mom loved seeing movies that were themed in the South Pacific.
Those type of movies and tv shows are the best! I loved “Lost”
