By the looks of it, the co-pilot was still new at the company getting familiar with the aircrafts as you can see he only took controls before take off and took controls again before landing...
Les ATR sont vraiment les plus adaptés pour la zone Pacifique. Bravo à Air Tahiti pour l’accueil de ce touriste un peu spécial, très professionnel ! Salutations à toute la Polynésie de Lyon 👋🏼😊
In 1976, I was fortunate to visit Bora Bora. I remember sitting on the top of the roofs of the shuttle boat. When the boat was docked at the main, the local kids took me and we’d jump off the roofs of the boats! Always dream of 1 day returning to Bora Bora. Yes Sam, it is Paradise!
The beautiful scenery makes people feel happy, and the staff on the plane are very enthusiastic. I think this is a very good trip. Please enjoy Mr. Sam's program.
My best greetings to Sam CHUI for this fantastic VDO. AIR TAHITI is an awesome company with valuable people & a gorgeous network. I am sure these delightful pictures will contribute drawing more people to discover & enjoy everything TAHITI islands & great people have to offer.
Mr. Sam Chui, I really LOVE to watches your remarkable videos to travels across the globe in joy to Africa, America, Europe ,Asia & other parts of the globe in 2022❤❤❤
My first trip to Tahiti and Bora Bora was way back in 1987. Air New Zealand did the coral route back in those days, from Auckland to Nadi (Fiji), then to Rarotonga (Cook Islands) and onto Tahiti.
I've been in French Polynesia and use Air Tahiti several times with a Multi-flight pass (Huahine, Bora, Rangiroa, Tikehau, Mataiva, Fakarava, Papeete) and it's by far my best experience on an airline. Everywhere it's like landing in paradise so everybody is having a big smile on their face. It gives me the will to go back there.
Love your conclusion at the end of the video: "...Aviation is providing that vital lifeline to all the remote islands and communities in French Polynesia..."
Sam, your passion for aviation is truly admirable. I flew to Air Tahiti when I visited Bora Bora in 2017 and the flight crew were very welcoming, kind, and offered me recommendations while in Bora (solo traveler). Thank for sharing your personal experiences and most important how aviation is a vital resource connecting the South Pacific islands.
Sam again show us his commitment to aviation in its essence. It's wonderul how he delivers the same passion to this kind of local flights as well as he give it to international big airlines. Tks Sam for allow me to remember my experience decades ago in FAAA and those marvelous islands
Thanks Sam. I thought I will never these places. My dad loved these Islands and i couldn't help him see and he left us. Now my son says, one day he will take me there.
The islands look amazing! I couldn't think of a better way to spend my day than island hopping! What a great day you had and what a great crew! Really awesome 🙂 Looking forward to your next video... as always!! 👍
Sam, you look so relaxed while filming this in the beautiful islands of French Polynesian. The South Pacific does have an unique vibe that comfort's the human soul to embrace the beauty around you.
I find ATRs really comfortable. Feels a lot more stable that old DHCs. ATRs have a lot wider passenger sideview without drop down wheels. I'm surprised there's not a whole lot more variants.
We just came from Bora Bora!!! What a beautiful Paradise! We stayed at Intercontinental Bora Bora, in an overwater bungalow. It was just fantastic. Air Tahiti is great too. Very smooth flights, very safe, absolutely nothing to complain. P.S. Minute 10:54 - this is Intercontinental Hotel. At the end of the ponton, in the middle of the screen, the bungalow at the upper side, was our bungalow! Number 27 ❤❤❤
@@SamChui Thank you very much! ❤ Yes, we had a "one in a lifetime" holiday. Five weeks vacation in Singapore (including Formula 1 Weekend), New Zealand (Auckland and Rotorua), Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora and Thailand (just Bangkok this time). We flight with Finnair, Air New Zealand, Jetstar Asia and Air Tahiti. All of them were beautiful flights. For anyone interested, look for the pictures on Loredana Prodan page!
Hi Sam👋 That's awesome that they let you fly in the cockpit, the best seat in the house/the plane👍🙂 Even though the jump seat isn't the most comfortable seat, I'm sure that those uncomfortable feelings were melting away as you were enjoying those beautiful and spectacular views out of the windows👍🙂 Those two pilots are very lucky to be able to have those wonderful views every day from their office windows👍🙂 Best Wishes Sam, it's great to see how much you have been enjoying your trip to Tahiti✌🙂
The captain, who has the choice to move to flying a much bigger airplane but chose to remain flying in the islands and dedicate his career to serve the communities there. That's really admirable.
I have been watching sailing videos where people have sailed their boats to the same islands. So this is very interesting to see the contrast between the two forms of travel. One ancient and one modern.
It has been my absolute dream to visit French Polynesia for as long as I remember. It's truly a paradise. Sadly I live on the other side of the world but one day I will get there!
@@Cordycep1 I'd be going from London, so hopefully it's not too expensive from London, but the journey would be a long one! Also accommodation in places like Bora Bora will be incredibly expensive so I'll need to save a lot! 😅 But it is my dream so it's something i would invest my money into!
Man, this is awesome. You got a chance to film in the cockpit. Thank you posting this video. I plan on going to bora bora in 2025 for my 51th birthday. And I will be taking my little son with me. I thought I had to take Tahiti Air, and would do a double trip from Tahiti but, decided to spilt them up up into two years. Looking forward to that trip. The 2023 trip I'm going to the Cayman Island for my 49th birthday!
Great Sam. The most beautiful scenery I've seen I had to call my wife and rerun the whole thing . I have saved to my favorites to watch again. See you soon.👍
My very first big airplane I got typed on was the ATR, flown it around for 4 years in the Caribbean, quite similar to what these guys do. Feels good to hear those Pratt Turbos's spooling up, lots of memories. I hope both pilots realise what an amazing Aircraft they fly, by the looks of it, they do🤙🏽
Compliments to your videos Sam. I have seen some of your videos this one is the greatest. I believe this is the best way to present this absolute paradise on earth to those who haven't had the opportunity to visit yet. I appreciate your work. Greetings from Republic of Kosovo, Bardhyl
Nice Nice! I always dream to go to Tahiti and these remote islands around it but now 62 years old, reality is the closes i will ever experiance it is thru these video's. So thanks for posting such great video's. I live in Michigan and do see Tahiti airlines fly right over my house going to europe from time to time in the summer months.
Sam I absolutely love watching your channel... You give us all an escape from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Keep us dreaming and keep up the amazing job.
Love how the Captain gives a fist pump when his copilot makes a good landing
Yes, I noticed this Co-Pilot is a natural for this work! Wonderful to see... and glorious scenery as well!
By the looks of it, the co-pilot was still new at the company getting familiar with the aircrafts as you can see he only took controls before take off and took controls again before landing...
There seems to be more camera movement on the takeoff tha that landing. Smooth.

One of the most friendly and kind flight crew I’ve ever seen on your channel, Sam! 👍👍
They are extremely friendly and willing to showcase their beautiful island flying to my camera.
Can you imagine being able to live and fly in that paradise every day? I can see why they are so happy.

Great teamwork there..happy pilots and happy crew. Thank you air tahiti
It is so nice how you interact with the crew. They are the unsung heroes of the sky!
The flight crews uniform is looking incredibly nice and well-designed for the tropical island like Tahilti.👍
I really love to see how the first officer lands the plane so smoothly. Well done, Air Tahiti!!😍

@Pål_lokomotivet just a saying where I'm from.
@@prflyr so this wasnt a joke?
@Pål_lokomotivet kind of. I did go to Bora Bora many years ago. I consider those days my prior life. When I was young and free to travel the world

Those ATR72 aircraft do a fantastic job in the Pacific. Fiji Airways and Air Vanuatu also use them on their domestic/regional routes.
