Hi Felix - not sure if you mean all DG 2x2 plates have been issued and sold but if not, that’s not the case - 2x2 registrations are issued every time there is a DVLA auction which is around every quarter. Cheers
I really like the old-style plates but for me it would have to be a genuine old number with a bit of history as opposed to a DVLA auction "invention"....
Very nice, informative video and a pretty cool collection to be honest. I had noticed 4 digit NI plates being sold on the DVLA site for quite a long time but maybe 3 digit ones are newer. Found a few interesting ones on a quick look, also pretty obsessed with number plates and always spot / look out for them on the road and car related content I watch. The last few years I've definitely started buying a few but just the prefix and current style, would love to go to auctions one day and maybe secure a couple plates I'm interested in which are unregistered but need to have a few thousand saved for that :D Not the most important thing to be honest but I see them to be collectable like domain names :)
Glad I've found another private reg fan! There are a few of us out there it seems. Thanks for watching - more private plate content coming soon! I'm always on the lookout for cool new plates.
Thing to always remember, is that you are not actually purchasing the number itself, but rather the right to display it on your vehicle. Mess about with the spacing of the digits or other dodgy shenanigans, and the DVLA can withdraw your right to use the number, without compensation. If you are really unlucky, the DVLA can take your private number and replace it with a 'Q' plate, which will probably halve the value of your car as once issued, it cannot be replaced.
I just don’t get this. In the US we can write want we want and it’s not that expensive (not that I’d do it as people think you’re a douche bag) but the UK vanity plate thing is just bizarre. And chav af. :))

Buying the right plate is key to them increasing in value

We are thinking of selling TOM 1 which was owned by my father and been in the family for ca 50 years. What would be the best way to do so.?
Did you sell it ?
No we haven't @@sen5908
Hey! Not on topic but I was wondering where the LS400 went or if you have sold it?
Oh Félix, this is a sad story... it had a head gasket blow and I ended up selling her 😭
Maybe I'll make a video explaining what happened!
@@fgardner oh that's too bad, I can understand the sadness, I own one myself, a 98. They are wonderful to drive.
@@felixboutin4303 it was an absolutely fantastic car! I'm going to make a "What happened to the LS400" video just for you :)
I’ve owned a few private plates and I would never have any symbol whatsoever on it and definitely not a Euro symbol. Plain and simple.

It's beyond me why anyone would waste money on this. There are homeless people and animals, cancer research etc.
I think they are daddies cars
How old are you, 10 🤣you are effectively saying that because there are people out there that go without, so should everyone else 🤦♂
