I attended @fastcarmagazine's first ever German Car Festival at Silverstone and noticed a whole lot of personalised number plates in the show, more can be seen in my arrival video, so decided to decipher some of the best ones I found!

I saw the Reg C4NT on a Peugeot Cabriolet in Harpenden & B16 DIK on a Vauxhall Cavalier in Hemel Hempstead I don’t know if they’ve been pulled

I think there will be big fines for plates soon. The amount of normal plates i see on cars now with the letters/numbers all moved together or swapped about is ruining the private plate.

There already is. It's a fine up to £1000 and the possibility of the right to use the plate revoked.

In about 87 I saw DJ1 on a rusty bog standard Mk3 escort. Also a crappy Metro in about 97 had 5PAR, which I suppose unless you own the shop chain is crap but it just seemed far to good for a rusty metro.
DJ1 is on a McLaren now.

I'd say looking at the angle of the windscreen on that Sport quattro it's a replica. The sport quattro had a much steeper angle to the A pillar's to give a little more room in the cabin. Still an awesome car though. Can't beat the sound of an Audi inline 5...... well apart from a flat six Mezger and a Merlin V12.....
I think you made a little mistake because you said that the veyron is not a hot wheels . But that veyron is from hot wheels first edition . And again the price of it is very high now and again it is a gem car for a hot wheels collector .

I always wanted T13 VOM. I’d have it spaced T1 3VOM on the front so people looking in their rear view mirror would get it. Apparently someone else thought of it before me and it’s already out there. 😢

My favourites I have seen is H1 BYE on a super bike and SPL1F first on a Volvo 240 then on a BMW.

Spent a lovely weekend at the Day of Champions event at Donnington around 2000. Lucky to be in a box there in the company of plenty including Steve Parrish and Robb Gravett They were doing lots of the commentary. Steve's car out the back was a silver Merc' (might be wrong) with the notable plate PEN 15. He said he did nothing more than apply to the DVLA and, was delighted that they issued it.
You should do a car show walkround video but with 100% hotwheels cars only.

The plates I like are the ones that don't need to be altered/moved to make them say something. However, that said, the best I've seen is YSO2LOW & YS05LOW owned by the same guy (illegally spaced to say Y SO SLOW)

I don't have a ton saved up right now and I just found a plate on DVLA before watching this video that was somehow not taken for 250 and had to grab it lol... but there's still others that are more personal that I've left. someone bought R32 UWU at auction in this last week lol for a few hundred and I think Airtec got A112TEC

@@the_famous_reply_guy I swapped the R32 with the plate last September for a VXR Nurburgring. Wish I hadn’t. Guessing the guy either sold the plate or on retention.

Normally I think people with private reg numbers are absolute tools, but I did once see a 911 with the reg B16 NOB, did think that was quite funny
It's a creative process and individual expression in an ocean of NPC. Trying to get plate that actually says something is a task in itself.

Couple of nice plates who live near me are R4LLY and A11OYS
There is a Waste Management company that operates in my area, the have a Disco 4 with the plate TO10 LET. A skip hire company has the plate W4 STE on one of their waggons. There's a good few others that I've seen but those are the ones that immediately come to mind

Best personal plate I ever saw was on an Audi ur quattro: TUR 80. Second best was someone who beat me to my own initials but I forgive them because they put it on an E30 Baur cabriolet: JDH 1 🙂
I used to sit next to a guy who wrote like you do, in school. He is now a test driver for the red bull f1 team. It seems holding a pen like a chimp is a thing for serious petrol heads. Big love Adam. X
