    Ive been following and subscribed for a short while now but I can already tell your a true professional at your trade. I’m a 28yr mechanic with a Cat dealer and I load and unload equipment in our yard for years now. I can quickly tell when a float driver has his s*#t together. Always a pleasure working with guys like you. :). I’m in Sault Ste. Marie and have seen you pass through a few times. Maybe be able to chat someday if your stopped here. Thanks so much for the vids. I know its a lot of work to put great videos like this together. All the camera angles, i tip my hat to ya. :)

    Impressive move. But gee I'm bloody glad we don't have to jump through all the hoops that you guys do when moving this sort of gear in Western Australia. The trailers etc that we use here are so much more simple and easy to use - just drop the ramps and drive the machine up onto the deck, chain it down and away you go. But we don't have the height restrictions that you have, so can get away with a lot more. Check out Drake Trailers Australia. And we chew up the odd few cones through the roadworks here too. Our dolly spreads out to 12 or 14 foot wide (as does the float) - the dolly wheels usually manage to chew up the cones and spit them out before the float gets to them.

    • @luckybananaheavyhaul3407

    I’m curious as to how did you scale per axle?

    • @luckybananaheavyhaul3407
      @luckybananaheavyhaul3407  2 года назад +1

      Most scales have 3 plates ( steers, drives, trailer) so I I weighed my steers on the first plate, the drives on the second plate and the jeep on the third plate without having the trailer on the scale. Then I pulled forward so that the trailer was on the third plate and the jeep was completely off and weighed it again. On a CAT scale we call it a “split weigh”
      If you look back a few videos on the channel to the Baltimore load where I had a booster, I weighed the steers, drives and jeep and then pulled forward until the trailer was on the 2nd plate and booster on the 3rd plate and scaled again.

    • @luckybananaheavyhaul3407
      @luckybananaheavyhaul3407  2 года назад +2

      Different trailer. The beam on our 60 ton is too high and I would need to put a complete set of ramps down to walk the machine off. The 50 ton beam is lower. But I will pull even the small beam out from under a lower machine. A Hyster forklift for example has lower ground clearance so I’ll pull even the smaller trailer.
