The primary factor is that Pakistan is transitioning its nuclear missile delivery system from aging jets to new ones. The JF-17 has proven to be a crucial platform for the PAF in this regard. Notably, 58% of the JF-17 Block 3 is manufactured in Pakistan, with the remaining 42% produced in China, making these jets predominantly Pakistani. The current recognition that the JF-17 Block 3 can be used for nuclear purposes has increased its value in the international market. This validation by FAS has enhanced its reputation, making it an omni-role jet.
For clarity: multi-role refers to capabilities in air-to-air, air-to-ground, and electronic warfare. An omni-role jet is a multi-role jet with added nuclear capability. By this definition, the Rafale jets are indeed superior omni-role fighters due to their greater speed and range. It is also worth noting that the PAF will not need to rely on foreign powers for spare parts etc for its JF-17 Block 3 in times of need, unlike the IAF which must depend on the Rafale’s supplier for support.
The Indian local fighter jet project, AMCA, is still facing significant delays. The delivery of the first jet, initially scheduled for Feb- 2024, has been postponed to July 2024. Given the current progress, it is uncertain if the agreed timeline of nine years, from 2021 to deliver 73 fighter jets and 10 transport jets, will be met. Interestingly, in the meantime, the IAF is considering acquiring 60 more Rafales at double the price of the previous purchases and is also mulling buying a fifth-generation jet instead of waiting for the indigenous AMCA jet. This move could be seen as a sign of distrust in HAL and the AMCA project.
India's unrealistic & aggressive defense spending may backfire shortly. The Indian people might eventually question why their leadership prioritizes extraordinary defense purchases over their poor living conditions, usually unreported by the Indian media. Indian leaders must recognize that they are unlikely to be able to face a two-front war. The Modi govt/RSS needs to accept the historical reality that the Baniya (Hindu) community has not traditionally been a martial race, their strength/celebrations lie in massacring unarmed civilians, women, & children rather than in true martial prowess. It would be more prudent for India to allocate resources towards improving the lives of its citizens, which could, in turn, pressure economically burdened Pakistan to do the same.

India has the world's fastest growing major economy. The global slowdown due to pandemic and inflation did not stop its growth. The Indian government now has more spending power than ever with very low inflation rates and bigger economy so They can buy whatever they want with now increased spending on R&Ds. Meanwhile the porki(a failed state) is struggling with its economy for a decade and instead of buying food for its people they buy the weapons to keep up with its neighbour, a pathetic attempt to keep up militarily. The porkis are not a martial race of any kind they lost every war they fought with the world's best weapons and overwhelming numbers, they should instead focus on their people. The Pakis need to understand their worth... Jihad will lead nothing but their miserable end.. The thing to note- The IAF purchases the jets not loan out(begged for it) something they cannot afford like some countries

In last I have been with Indian in Gulf and good friendship in Europe now but believe me the level of severe poverty in Pakistan is not as it is in India..
You can check at WB data chart where severe poverty in India is more than 3% of total population whereas it is less than 1% in Pakistan.. But you know what is 3% of 1.5 billion? And what is 1% of 240 million?

We need to do many things to atleast be able to defend our country from any threat. (My opinion, you're welcome to counter)
1. We need BMD systems all around important areas especially border areas. We need to make sure the pak fighters will destroy before they even reach a distance to attack.
2. We now how powerful brahmos is but it is also expensive. We need to make a cheaper version of it (less payload less range acceptable) in large numbers.
3. Fighters, oh boy please someone tell our airforce to atleast choice something in mrfa. We need to make sure we have atleast 45-50 squadrons before 2040 (MAYBE impossible but let's see) and most important for me I think attack helicopters, LCH or its varient on beast mode.
We indians think nuclear weapons as our scary factor for enemy to not attack us while Pakistan army takes nuclear as their middle factor (last is surrender obviously 😂) so we need to make sure we counter that

Their is big different between nuclear capable heavy bomber and nuclear capable fighter bomber.
Also we already have fighter bombers capable of delivering nuclear missels.
And tejas mk-1a is designed for point defense role. Also possible in future this jet going to be integreted with Rudram series and Bhramos ng.
And i think using those missels as nuck delivery is not going to that hard.
Why you people think if we are not going to launch nucks from tejas mk-1a, it will make it toothless.
