Sir....this jet engine technology is one of the toughest to realize...only 4 countries ie US, Russia, France & Britain have mastered the complete technology successfully....china too does not have any successful engine other than the copied WS series which are near unlicensed copies of Russian AL series of engines & certainly nowhere near the performance of Russian engines...i might be wrong but last i heard these WS series were only able to provide a life of appx 2000 hrs...therefore we too will have to keep our fingers crossed, as i think we will see a successful 85-88kn (wet) engine variant of kaveri in next 3-5 years, with successful integration in Tejas Mk1/1As in next 4-8 years...i am certain this in itself will be a great achievement & success

Good Point but right now Kaveri produces 73 kN of maximum thrust. But for better T/W ratio from Tejas, we require atleast 85kN of thrust. You can say if both the engine are producing similar thrust then Kaveri will still have advantage due to the consistency in hot and humid conditions too

Yadi sarkar is project ko national project ghoshit karke funding shuru kare to sirf 3 se 4 saal India ke pas khudka engine hoga bas sarkar me ye ichchha shakti honi chahiye

Raksha rajyamantri should release funding, not visit.
Nothing is coming out fruit full from this project this engine will be used only for ghatak UAV.. SO Practically our govt failed to acquire emgines in time for tejas and we are seriously falling shot in number of aircrafts
