About the song...
I actually wrote this song after watching a tv show so it technically has nothing to do with my own life, yet I resonate with it deeply. I'm one of those people that gets really invested in storylines, it's as if I'm actually going through what the characters are going through. I've been told this makes me an "empath", which I consider to be a blessing and a curse. But the cool thing about it is that it allows me to use inspiration from stories, books or tv shows to write music that I relate to, even when I haven't gone through it myself. Sometimes it's a good break to write about someone else's story rather than it always being about your own.

A little about me...
Natalie Joly is an award winning singer-songwriter from Boston, currently based in the music capital of the world, Nashville TN. With influences ranging from The Beatles and Aerosmith, to Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars, Natalie’s music doesn’t quite fit into any one genre. Raised on classic rock, her music is drum and electric guitar heavy, donning harmonies that fill any room, with compelling lyrics relatable to all ages.
She released her first self-titled album at 15, a subsequent album at 17 called “Paint the Picture”, and another EP at 19 years old. Since 2017 she has released her music as singles, having her 2018 song “You Oughta Know” win Song of the Year at the 2019 New England Music Awards.
Over the years Natalie has gained a large social media following, with over 50,000 Instagram Followers, over 9,200 RUclips Subscribers. Her Instagram videos have accumulated over 10 million views, and her RUclips channel has reached over 1.5 million lifetime views.

Damn this is powerful and hits home. It's a last ditch heartfelt plea after she might've burnt the house down time and again. Actions have consequences and we learn through pain, here's to losing the battle but winning the war within so she can still get an even better prize: a healthier her. Be decent if someone matters to you. That song is filled with all she lost and needs, maybe she is self centered. We've all got flaws and blind spots. Reflect, heal and grow or keep opening wide for the same bitter medicine.
