Yes!!!! This is a hidden 💎. I look this. Binged it them watched again. 2022 is a long time for season 2 but I definitely will be watching. Definitely top show of 2020

I have to thank you for turning me onto this, I let it pass me by when it started over here, I had no idea it was a Gareth Evans creation, but then blasted through it after your first review. Cannot wait to see how Season 2 plays out..
so glad you enjoyed it I certainly did its one I recommend to all my friends and work colleagues lots of it was surprising and always kept me on the edge of my seat was really pulling for Luan Dushaj as I really liked his character thought he was gonna get done in at various points in the season was top viewing and the second season can't come soon enough
As a guy from Wales in the UK I watched this show at the beginning of the year, and can't believe that it isn't getting recognition in the US, this the best new TV show of 2020. Well done to my fellow Welshman Mr Evans

hopefully the show gets some more attention/general buzz following it's release on AMC in early 2021.
Warrior (cinemax) fills the action tv-series void quite well if you need another series. a different tone than Gangs of London but still a great addition to the genre.
Marianne is still alive. She moved her eyes in the ending scene.

The drop was completely botched in the US -- I would recommend that people do as you say, avoid the stateside streaming services and go right for the SKY TV feed when it's released. It's apparent that no US outlet was interested in giving this a fair release, so the time has come to use VPNs for all international viewing.

Either AMC pushes this for a non-streaming premiere with season 2 being on regular tv, or they should move on and give it to Netflix. AMC is going to kill the show here in the US if they don’t market the second season properly.
Really appreciate your take on this- it’s inconceivable to me how poorly this show has been marketed. This show is absolutely glorious
Here in england the best way to watch this (unless you pay for Sky's extortionate TV box) is Now TV, in which episode 1 is 90minutes, followed by 8 50 minute episodes bringing the total to 9.
I keep hearing good things about Peaky Blinders, worth checking out?

Watched on AMC+. This show was mad! Way better than Power! The action scene is mind blowing. Cast is top notch. Looking forward to season 2.
Its still the Long Good Friday, with ultraviolence, i too have my doubts about Sean being dead. While waiting for S2 catch up on Gomorrah sky's Italian gangster series quite a lot less violence more plot twist and no plot armour. I found it hard to root for anyone in GOL, at least in Gomorrah you have the guy who drowned his wife 😀
Only topped by Chernobyl.
I'm heated about Sean. He may not be your favorite character, but he is the key tothe show noir Elliot. Loses him really hurts the narrative for a shock surprise moment. I like Evans, but Raid 2 suffered storywise for the need to overcomplicate the narrative.

I'm sorry James. But with the exception of some scenes before episode 5 , the siege of the ep 5 and some scenes after that, it's boring and doesn't feel cohesive. Also can't root for any of the characters. Sorry man. Fan of this channel from Nicaragua.
I thought the show went downhill fast after episode 5. The plotting and character behavior just became too ridiculous, and I was willing to go along with everything up until then. There’s just too much nonsense by season’s end.
I can see why you’d think that. The reveal of “the investors” being a mysterious Adjustment Bureau-like entity controlling the Wallaces’ fortunes and those around them _can_ be a bit much to believe. But I like those kind of shenanigans, so I’m still in for the ride.
Loved this show. Up there with Peaky Blinders & Taboo! I don't know about Sean but I think Marian is still alive, saw her eyes open at the end.
I have watched this show already months ago & the action scenes in this show still lingered in my mind on how intense & visceral it is. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON NETFLIX imo.
who ever did the deal for US Release needs to be handled like the action sequences in this show. as James said it should have been on Netflix or HBO Max over in the US

Great show! The fight scenes are brutal! Garet Evans surely can make some insane fight scenes!
