This was hands down the best hour of TV in 2020.
The drone shot moving from the pub to the house, showing the spectacular terrain, the disposition of forces, and laying everything out for the viewer so the rest of the sequence can play out and the viewer is never disoriented is what set it apart.
That kid who was wounded managed to pull the Shutter doors down and was shot to pieces was brilliant and heart breaking at the same time

You're spot on with the superlatives here, James. I was stunned watching this and consider it the best FILM I've seen all year. It feels like you're watching all that was promised in the 70s with Peckinpah and the 80s with Woo suddenly come to pass years later. On TV, no less

Fantastic show and Episode 5 was one of the best reminded me of The Raid
This episode was hands down a action masterpiece that shot of the drone from the air looking at the ex sas forming a v shape as there walking towards the cliff then seeing the father climbing down it to warn the others as to whats abt to go down to then see the chaos all unfold in the last 25mins was insane roll on season 2 can't wait for it 👍🔥
This episode, as you said can work like small stand alone film. Shoot out on roof and then inside... just wow. I was literally screaming at moment of mercenary jumping inside building. It's done really good.

Your enthusiasm for the show is great to see, glad you enjoyed it. Sadly have to agree the quality marker drops off somewhat after E05 but it's still a fantastic show overall.
I don't think the quality drops as much as the action drops off quite a bit and even without as much action, the show is still pretty darn good. The only major problem imo was with the very ending of the final episode. Other than that it's still a great few episodes of a phenomenal tv show's first season.
@@8301TheJMan yea agree the quality/enjoyment of the show that is in terms of or due to the (lack of) action that we were spoiled with in prior episodes; still solid acting and story for rest of it.
I agree 100% !!!! This show has the BEST realistic violence I have EVER SEEN on TV or at the movies!!!! The level of Violence is AMAZING because they show EVERYTHING and I LOVE IT!! The cinematography is absolutely BREATHTAKING!!!! The BEST show on right now!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Action scenes are good but the show is kind of awful. Bad writing, full of tropes, predictable. Stumbles from one action scene to another. Had potential to be something special but fell short. Good cast let down by poor script, relies too much on ott violence.
Are you serious...? I thought the story was pretty damn good. But whatever, to each his own i guess
