I just love your reviews. Your passion always comes across first and foremost. Thanks for being out there giving your impressions. I will put Kill on my list!
This movie is from real life story of Gurkha Indian soldier who was traveling by train and 40 dacaits(robbers) tried to loot the train and was humiliating 18 years old girl. And in order to save that girl., the Gurkha regiment soldier fought alone with 40 criminals and killed & injured mny of them.
Absolutely Outstanding, Hands Down Absolute Best Blood Action Movie To Hit The Theater EVER, Saw It 4 Times On Wed, Planning On Seeing It Another 4 Tomorrow (( Fri )) Outstanding All Around
Hollywood gets it right every once in a while but it almost feels like it is more by accident than design. I'm all for some vigorous competition from filmmakers all around the world.
Sounds like what I wanted from Monkey Man. Not that Monkey Man was terrible but this sounds exactly what I thought it was going to be. Also James I’m not sure how big of a fan of you are of the zombie genre but if you haven’t seen Train to Busan I highly recommend you watch it is a little on the sappy side some people might think. But it’s probably the best Zombie movie I’ve seen in a long time.
MM is more emotional & hefty with the serious topics and themes it tackles. Kill definitely scratches that itch for the action buffs looking for that fix. Both solid but pretty different flicks.
It looks like The Raid meets Train to Busan. Probably gonna see it today. A lot of the Indian movies near me only have like a weeklong showing. I hope the good ones start to get a little more of a chance in the market at large, ya know?
Well worth hunting down. Rooting hard for it to find the audience it deserves. Would love to see this filmmaking team crank out some more of these hardcore action movies.
I’m a hardcore mma fan in addition to being a cinephile…when those two totally different identities of mine cross wires, ie occasionally seeing you in that Morning Kombat shirt, saying words like Jiří Procházka, my brain short circuits and I wonder if the architect of the Matrix is fucking with me
I know the feeling. Years ago I considered doing some MMA commentary, but I finally decided just to let my interest in the sport remain a hobby instead of a job. That said, I love taking opportunities to give some much deserved shout outs to total badasses like Pereira and Procházka.
bishnu shrestha fought with 40 robbers in a train from ranchi to save a girl who was going to be raped in front of everyone in train, he was a Indian soilder from gurkha regiment, He killed three of them in the fight and injured eight others. The remaining robbers got scared of Bishnu's brave attack and fled the scene. this movie is based on real event with just movie plots.
just now hearing of this in my timeline. need to subscribe to Lionsgate Movies, and now seeing the good reviews, but it only has one screen and one showtime in my city at a theatre i don't like, dang....decisions..
I am glad you made reference to Hitchcock's LADY VANISHES. For me, its absolutely the best of all train thriller films till date. Speaking of Kill, the speed, screenplay, and action impress. but they could have introduced more variety among the bad guys. Only one big guy stands out, all others are assembly line. the main bad guy is awesome though.
Another great 👍🏻 video as always! Another RUclipsr I follow saw this last September at Fantastic Fest & loved it. BTW Snowpiercer is another brilliant film that takes place on a train. Keep it up. 👍🏻.
It's not a B-movie. B-movies are low quality movies (not just the budget). This one cannot be put in that category. I'm not telling this as a fan, so relax. And surprisingly this movie got lesser melodrama than I feared. Although I admit the dialogue exchange between the lead and his fiancée should've been better and they should've taken a li'l bit of extra runtime to setup the characters properly in Act 1 (before everyone got into the train) to deliver that emotional punch at the intermission. The worst is the trailer that gave too much away. All in all, a quality entertainment it is.
You will definitely enjoy RRR , also watch “URI”…. RRR is Telugu language movie and URI is a Hindi movie…that wowed viewers around the World and a lot of Americans fan base. Both excellent action flicks.
So are we just loving this movie for it's gratuitous violence alone? What about a solid, interesting story and/or characters we care about? I'm an action fanatic, but I guess my tastes over the decades has changed a bit.
_Is this movie more violent than "The Night Comes for Us" ?_ No. It's violent by Indian standards, otherwise the amount of violence is about the same as a R-rated Hollywood movie. The fact that the violence isn't over-the-top (i.e. it's more grounded) contributes to making the action feel realistic and hence more brutal. _Which movie do you think is better?_ I like them both. They are kind of different, though: The action in 'The Night Comes for Us' is of the 'smooth, skilled martial arts' variety. The action here is more akin to a street brawl between really angry and desparate people.
An unmatched movie. This movie teaches us about human instinct, when a man or woman pushed to their extreme position. You may have missed a scene where two ladies killed a baddy with hockey stick and iron ball madly . The situation makes a person beast i.e. basic instinct.
The fact that the lead villain Raghav Juyal, playing Fani, who you will viscerally hate in this movie….is such a ball of sunshine…like a human with golden retriever energy in real life….a great lyrical hip hop dancer…a great comic host…a funny wholesome and wise guy…but when he plays Fani you can see how great he is cause even I who loves Raghav…hated Fani
I really like the main baddy in this one. He’s like the Joker, and the hero is like Batman without his suit or weapons.
The main baddy is one of the sweetest person in real life and one of the most talented lyrical dancer also a comedian a host
Batman who kills

Thanks for the kinds words! I'm just relieved to have a good movie out there worth getting excited about.

In real story the criminals where drunken gang other than robbers.
Then get into 2 train bogies and grabbed a girl forcly and try to rape her.
Yes that is true.
💯💯💯 yes

I saw it 2 times
Really amazing movie short intense brutal
The makers of John Wick just bought the rights of this film for its Hollywood remake.
Hollywood has been in a rut for quite sometime; let them languish until they figure their shit out.
Hollywood gets it right every once in a while but it almost feels like it is more by accident than design. I'm all for some vigorous competition from filmmakers all around the world.
SO EXCITED to watch it in the theatre tomorrow
Kinda reminds me of a mixture of The Raid, Redemption, and Sisu. The trailer for Kill was awesome.
Hell yeah. The trailer perfectly sells the style and tone of the flick.
And The Night Comes for Us.
Gotta say James you’re one of the few people who frequently covers foreign movies and it’s appreciated
Feels like you genuinely love cinema

Massive fan of Train to Busan. Definitely one of the best horror films of the last decade. I should have given it a shout out in the video.
True it was terrible

Watch Kalki 2898AD instead of this. Its showing all across US in IMAX 3D formats
Agreed. Hopefully Lionsgate will widen the release strategy if there's sufficient interest this weekend.
Why are you begging😂😂
Seems like you have invested on the film and no one is watching it

I Here it's the " RAID!" on the 🚄 TRAIN.
Works for me. I might like the two Raid movies a little bit more, but Kill is still pretty damn good.
Glad it’s great. Seeing it Thursday night!
Very cool! Hope your crowd is as fired up as mine was.
No showtimes in my area yet! The trailer looked like a good ride!
Look forward to catching this one💚🇬🇧🌱

Just saw it.... it was awesome.
One of the best films of 2024! Not since the first John Wick have I seen a better action movie. It’s “Die Hard” and “The Raid” on a train.

Countdown until Hollywood relies completely on AI for movie ideas.....
That sad day might already be here.
Glad you got to watch this one man
The villain Raghav is a freaking awesome dancer and choreographer. ❤❤❤
Another great 👍🏻 video as always!

Keep it up. 👍🏻.
Good call on Snowpiercer. Definitely deserved a shout out in the video.
The fight scenes are fantastic those tight spaces
I was surprised when I saw it. It's a really good violent B movie with the typical Indian melodrama. Pro tip: Don't eff with the aunties! 😂

@Ricardodiaz17762 sounds like it's a bot
could be an Abdul
@@nandantavkar Unfortunately I don't think they're a bot. They wrote too much stuff.😆
@@Ricardodiaz17762they're calling you a bot 😅 as if you don't understand
Fun fact: Lakshya literally means target.
I see the train guards did a fantastic job of protecting the passengers lol

The best movie in 2024
Best action movie in india
Wrong. Best movie of not only 2024, but also in the history of Indian cinema is Kalki
John Wick Team Bought the rights of this movie 🔥
So are we just loving this movie for it's gratuitous violence alone? What about a solid, interesting story and/or characters we care about?
I'm an action fanatic, but I guess my tastes over the decades has changed a bit.
The gratuitous violence is definitely the feature attraction but the movie is also an emotional roller coaster, bordering on melodrama. Wild ride.
RIP Robert Towne.
Such a bummer. One of the only screenwriters ever to achieve the same legendary status as the great directors of his time.
Blockbuster movie must watch ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
BTW the producer Guneet Monga is the Oscar winner for one of the 2023 Documentary Category.
Is this movie more violent than "The Night Comes for Us" ?

It was a phenomenal experience

Need a review on kalki 2898
Waiting for kalki 2898 ad review first half is slow but second half is way better than prabhas 2024 movie👍♥️
You should check out another Indian movie called Kalki 2898 AD which is currently running in cinemas.
kalki is not as tight as this movie. songs and a lot of other things..
Please don't watch that movie. It is your usual masala movie.
This film will be released on July 4 in u. S. According to imdb. Is imdb wrong
That's accurate. I got lucky with a slightly earlier screening at the Alamo Drafthouse.
10:19 - perfect review.. I will go in with tempered expectations, (if I ever).
Violence, gore isn't my genre, and I hated movies like Kill Bill.
Hollywood will remake this movie
🔥🔥🔥
You haven't reviewed Kalki 2898🙁
Cheers
Right back at you!
You must watch
Kalki 2898
Die Hard on a Train
Haha cool
I'm surprised, the trailer looked bad. The main guy is very stiff and rehearsed and the blood is digital, which I can't look past.
If you're looking for practical gore and blood, the movie delivers it by the bucketful. As far as the star goes, he's incredible.
It was about time for Bollywood to ripoff the raid , but I'm always down for a good brawler action
Sorry, this film seems pointless to me. Just violence and unrealistic fighting for the sake of it. Too shallow to be appealing to me.
