Guys, there is a sniper sequence midway through which you would have seen in something like "No Country For Old Men." Absolutely chilling...
If you like adult shows in this vein with amazing brutal action I recommend Banshee (skip the last season) and Quarry.
Warrior, the follow up series from the creators of Banshee is also pretty fkn awesome. The last season of Banshee is fine, its admittedly not quite at the level of the other seasons, but it's perfectly watchable. Juts great pulp style action adventure.
Yeah! I liked Banshee too. Not a spectacular show, but the fights where usually pretty good :)
As you said, if this show was on Netflix, everyone in the planet would be talking about it.

I was also able to watch it a few months back, it is a great show. No spoilers but I have feelings on the ending though, wish they would have done it a little bit different

Gangs of London was my favourite new show (alongside The New Pope which doesn't really count as a new show) this year. I watched it all as it aired in the UK. Highly recommended.
It's got better action than Warriors, on Cinemax? Very interesting....
saw that the show won't be premiering on AMC's network until early 2021. don't really get the months difference in premiere from AMC+ to AMC.. distribution for this show in the States has been so fucked. happy that it has a season 2 renewal already, though.
I hate to say this, but you can do like I did and "fly to Great Britain" to see it.

Action film recommendation: The Villainess. A South Korean film. Whenever I think of top tier level action, I think The Raid films, The Night Comes for Us, and The Villainess. Nothing else comes close.
The Villainess had pretty cool action, but I personally think that Mad Max: Fury Road, Hardcore Henry, The Protector, or Upgrade would be more deserving of that third spot.

Gave this a miss but decided to watch it on sky catch up here in the UK, after your review. Yes it's great gruesome knock about stuff. But in the end it's just The Long Good Friday, without Bob Hoskins, and Helen Mirren. Disagree, watch the LGF and change my mind 😀
watched it because of this recommendation. and it is shit. Cannot enjoy the action behind all the child-murdering. The plot can't handle it easier. Feel like I am watching a wannabe GoT season 2 or 4. It's just too sociopathic for its own sake. But it's not 2014 anymore. So it old, boring, and laughable. Being there, done that. Nothing new whatsoever here. Could just watch CNN after UFC. I would be surprised to see more than 2 seasons. And that only if they shot it already.
Wow I just watched this show and this was freaking awesome phenomenal it had everything I loved!
This show is madness loved it. I think UK actors are by far the best actors. They also dominated Hollywood.
Does anyone know where I can watch the complete season 1 in the US? I have the AMC+ subscription but it only has the first five episodes, and it has been at least 2 weeks or so since the last episodic release. Please help!
Episode 5 is truly stunning and one of the best episodes of television I have ever seen.
This entire series is genius. Gareth Evans is fantastic. The other episode directors are very good. I cannot wait for season 2.

Show does have some great action, especially in the first few episodes but I found the story overall pretty meh. To many plot holes an nonsensical events. Had great potential from pilot but was overall wasted in my opinion. Still have to agree on the action being top notch but that was to be expected given creators previous works.
Luan was my favourite in the whole show, having watched it in the uk already.

Is it better than that daredevil hallway fight scene that was like 5-6 min long of one take? That was amazing with the stunt crew was actually and clearly exhausted.
@@LEP021085 was a fan of Daredevil since 80s and was so happy watching the series.
No doubt you'll get a kick out of Gangs of London. But let us know what you think after watching ep5

Besides the violence, hows the story. If I want violence and a story I can re-watch "Power". Need more than just violence.

I just watched the first 3 episodes. I gotta say I'm a bit disapointed by the writing of this series. I had big expectations when you mentioned The Sopranos. But unfortunately this is nowhere near the level of David Chase's writing. This is not prestige tv.
But still I'm enjoying the series overal. It's very entertaining.
I just finished the first 3 episodes. I was blown away by the fighting scenes and how far the pushed the brutality! I have a strong stomach for it and I was cringing alot! Lol great show so far. Amazing cast also.Cant wait to see where the rest of the season goes...p.s. love your videos!!
