If the baby hasn’t learned how to hold his breath, by now, he sure as heck is learning today.
There is no teaching of swimming for baby. This about hold you breath as long as you can while mom screws around in water. Other monkeys swim over the top of baby while he is trying to keep his grip on mom and hold his breath. She just keeps diving over and over and the other monkeys are grabbing and trying to get baby! It's looks scary for baby. So who ever see mom teaching baby to swim it blind. Way more going on here baby not learning to swim. Mom is doing all the diving and swimming and not pay much attention to baby holding on and holding his breath while other monkeys are grabbing and trying yo pull him down under water more. Pretty stupid. No baby NOT learning to Swim. Duh look closer. He doesn't even open his eyes anymore after out of water. He doesn't look like he is doing OK to me!

They can hold their breath up to five minutes. But that doesn't mean it's fool proof when mom comes up baby barely has but a second to catch his breath before she dives again. They could easily drown if other monkeys are play rough and baby trying to come up for air and others push baby back under by his head and try to hold him under. Mom usually jumps in. But then mom dives again after all that rough housing.
