That smile when Thor realizes Steve isn’t going to pick it up. Like he said in Endgame, he knew it, and he knows it here when he sees the wiggle. Steve didn’t embarrass him in front of everybody. A true friend, and a worthy one.
and many people cannot understand this simple thing. and say captain was not worthy
Absolutely, he was always worthy. He has such a good heart, he didn't want to make his friend feel bad by lifting Mjolnir here.
He was always worthy, he would've been able to lift Mjolnir even before he got the super human upgrade.
@Manendra Pratap Singh Because he is worthy, didn't want to or need to prove himself. It moved slightly. That was enough. Steve didn't need to show off about it and steal Thor's thunder lol so to speak 😆
Yup, its about humility. He's a genuine friend.
Thor probably went to sleep that night wondering if he just imagined Cap nudging the hammer, but in his heart of hearts, he knew Steve was among those who could lift it. There's no "almost worthy", you either can or cannot lift it.

He wasnt worthy
@@googleaccount2311 he was the director comfirmed it. when it comes to the hammer you either can lift it or you can't. theres no semi worthy.
@@googleaccount2311 Notice in the exact second out of focus when he touches the mjolnir 1:21, you can see that he moves it a little bit, and immediately Thor makes a serious and surprised face, and when Steve tries to lift it you can clearly see that he is pretending to do strength (I mean, I know it's a movie and it's all acting, but while the others seem to genuinely make an effort, he doesn't and pretends).
That's exactly why when Steve attacks thanos with the mjolnir, Thor screams "I knew it", Steve was always worthy, but he's so humble, he pretended he didn't.
@@frostea7043 There's another way to look at it. Steve may have been worthy, but would never feel himself worthy of being a God. Nor did he want or need that power. So the Hammer moved because he was worthy, but stayed because Cap himself rejects it. It's not until later, when Steve NEEDS the power, does the Hammer respond.
@@frostea7043 he wasn't worthy at that time bozo
Captain America didn’t want to hurt Thor’s feelings lmao
A true and worthy Chad
I personally don't understand why Thor's feelings would be hurt if one of his friends were able to pick up his hammer.
All it means is that another person who you fight together with is worthy. And seeing that Steve behaves humbly all the time, it's not like he would hold that over Thor's head at any point.
Lmaooooo facts
@@x-man9473 bro, if cap would have lifted that hammer..thor would be fighting with thanos with a bruised ego 😂
@@shantiprakashbihani1420 That's pathetic on his part. But in character I guess.
@@x-man9473 he wont be hurt or anything, it is just a "thought" from Captain side, it shows his consideration and humble personality, even if there is a slight small tiny ass chance Thor's feeling may will probably get "hurt" then Cap won't do it. Because he gain nothing by lifting a hammer (a laugh, and everyone is impress and suprise and shit) but those thing to Cap is notthing.
A normal human in society won't be able to truly reasonate with Cap (althou we can analayze his thought) because that part of him is humble of god... which is the POINT of that captain character.

This scene is golden. Thor's expression when he sees the hammer nudge and Captain America's grace in not picking it up even if he could (right?). Tells you that Cap is definitely noble hearted.
Him not picking it up is exactly why he could. And no one else couldn't.

And then Tony and Steve had their issues in Civil War and never once met up in infinity war and didn’t reunite with each other until endgame
Then they had to save the worlds from death robots. Two of them went MIA and then they split up into teams and then split up for a few years and fought a god separately and then got together to do a time heist and then all get together to kill the same god again and then went to a funeral.

i love how thor's face changes when the hammer wiggles. at first i thought it was worry, but i think it's actually more - he gets serious in that second because he recognizes that cap WAS worthy of mjolnir, and he had finally found his first true peer. i also love the detail that you can tell cap totally faked not being to pick it up because cap's so wholesome that he's a bad liar, even when he's lying to keep from embarrassing a friend.

I think Thor underwent a lot of growth himself because he's worried here but so pleased for Cap in Endgame. I think Thor felt possessive of Mjolnir for a long time but after all he went through, he realised that a lot of stuff he put stock in didn't matter. Even at the end of Infinity War, the directors said Thor wanted to taunt Thanos as he killed him so Thanos would know it was Thor who killed him hence chest shot rather than an immediate death. Thor wanted to savour that kill but his huge guilt for his arrogance and ego afterwards made him understand, just like the Ancient One said to Strange, that he was never about him. Hence why Thor so pleased for Cap in Endgame.
Thor almost lost a throne 🤣
Stark saying “ I will be reinstituting prima nocta” is exactly why he’s not worthy, L 💀

@@icroosing Actually no you have to be completely worthy but yes he could have lifted it as we saw in Avengers: Endgame
This scene warms my heart so much. ☺️
Plot twist: 1:21 - Mjolnir actually shifted just a teensy little bit when Cap tried to move it, but then decided to put on extra pounds simply to screw with him.
I love this scene for a weird reason. Something is just so great about literal superhero’s just acting like regular friends. Movies need more scenes like this, it really humanizes them
That’s what makes it so great, it makes me smile like crazy. It’s just the actors chilling but using their characters’ names

Cause it's one of the few MCU scenes in which the Avengers are hanging out and having fun like normal people, with no giant Damocles sword above their heads. Even in Civil War, they're hanging out because of the Accords. Here? They're just celebrating.
I feel this is one of the reasons why Peter Parker makes such a great hero. His life outside of his role of spider-man isn't as connected to his superhero life as much as Tony or Cap's is. At the end of the day he's a kid with a bit more life experience taking on some extra responsibilities. Spider-man is awesome.
And this is exactly where DC and Justice League failed big time
Love how comfortable they've gotten with Bruce, so they just look at him like the goof he is when he pretends to hulk out
THIS IS THE BEST FORESHADOWING SCENE IN THE WHOLE WORLD! IN WHOLE UNIVERSE, RATHER!
Thor: No one can lift up my hammer. NO ONE IS WORTHY.
Table: Why is this god damn thing so heavy.
Oh my God
Well the table is lifting his hammer so I think it's Vibranium
CoffeeTime TM This comment had me dying 😂😂
CoffeeTime TM A table is not a person as u said NO ONE ofc the table isnt a person
Friday Jarvis Well, for the sake of humour it still counts. 😅
*"Here, you take the small one"*

Compensation
I remember
Hehe
Lol
Even though this wasnt the greatest Avenger movie this is one of my favorite scenes. Them all just sitting around messing around with Thor's hammer. Feels like such a real situation. Like a bunch of friends sitting around shooting the shit.
When I watched this in the Theatres, that Prima Nocta joke went straight under the radar, I'm pretty sure I was the only one laughing. Classic Tony.
2015 me google searching: "Can Captain America lift Thor's hammer?"
2019 me google searching: "Can Captain America be the King of Asgard?"
There is no any asgard 😂😂
SUVENDU Sekhar there is New Asgard
King of a fishing town
Natedawgc17 you gotta drive slowly when you get there
