Uhm what....the kid is debt free, and loudly proclaims it by coming on this radio show, meanwhile allows the father to STILL be in debt in his late 50s with the kid's student loan bills????? How can that kid live with himself.....terrible.

I don't get why Dave thinks that someone who has an education is smart. Education is not intelligence. I have an advance degree and I went to school with plenty of people that are not as smart as those in the trades.

I wish Dave would go into more detail about the practical explanation of what a "rice and beans" lifestyle is like - no meat in your diet? No avocados because they're a luxury? Since you aren't eating out anymore or going on vacation I would think that you need to get some pleasure out of your home cooked meals or you might as well give up.

Their daughters kid is not their problem, that's her problem to figure out. If they can help that's great but it's should stop them from working more if they need to that's ridiculous. Unless the daughter wants to pay them for babysitting.

If a parent can afford to pay for a child’s undergraduate education, then that’s great, but you don’t pretend that you can by taking out a parent plus loan and then live in severe debt so that you can pretend you paid for your kids education.
