Hello fashion friends!!! Today I am going to be designing my engagement party dress!! I will be showing you the full process which includes sketching, draping, patternmaking, and prototyping!! This dress is honestly also perfect for a wedding or elopement! Love you all!

This dress is super duper fun, I would drape the rhinestones down the back. The only thing I would be slightly worried about is snagging them on something but other than that, draping will look super fun and flirty.

OMG!!! I absolutely love the design and do we want a pattern? ummm DUH! Just.. your work is so stunning! And for the straps - I think stitched down. You will be dancing, so excited about your engagement and I would not want to get it caught in a doorknob or something and then accidentally rip it all off. Also you spoke about taking flash photos and I think that the stitched rhinestones would create a gorgeous silhouette (imagine a photo from the back, you're looking to the camera, holding hands with your fiancé and the silhouette the rhinestones would create?? All the sparkle and everything!!) I definitely think stitched down.

The dress really looks great on you . I would stitch down the rhinestones and remove the horizontal piece on the back. I would use an invisible tulle to keep the back together. Congrats on your engagement!! Have fun : )

I love the style of the dress it is so pretty. Draping the rhinestones would make it really fun and unique and it would add dimension to the dress so I think you should go with draping.

omg same for trying to be zero-waste when i sew!! i currently just use my scrap fabrics and threads as stuffing for plushies i crochet 🥰🥰 love this dress tho its SO CUTE would 100% buy the pattern!!

of course we want a pattern!! I would personally stitch the rhinestones down so that I know they lay perfect 100% of the time

I loved the dress! This was so much fun watching! Okay so for the rhinestones I’m not sure it depends on how the dress is going to be cleaned. For example if it’s hand washed the draping of the rhinestones will be good because if hand washed they stones won’t break. If it’s washed in the laundry machine the chances of the stones braking are high but it also depends on the quality. It also could just rip off the garment you know if it got stuck with other clothes. So if washed with laundry machine then I’d sew the rhinestones down.
I am in love with the bodice. I mean that fit is *spectacular.* It's going to look amazing with the rhinestones and satin, but I can also totally picture it in a pastel cotton gingham for summer

Very nice dress, woow three mock to get the front part to you like. Drape the rhinestones in the back. And the shoes are awesome! Nice that you took the time to explain the pattern, the adjustments, the mistakes etc etc because that make your viewers know that even the people with more knowledge mistakes ocurrs. Interesting to know about the project to reutiliza all the left over fabric if each projects. Enjoy your engagement party!
Draping rinestones for sure, it's a very fitting dress so I think a lil more volume with the chain sparkling with the movements would be fantastic!

I love the dress. I think strapping the rhinestone down would be best if you are worried they might get snagged to people who are hugging you. But if you aren’t worried about that happening then drape those sparkly rhinestones 😉😌

Drape if the rhinestones are longer than the curve, otherwise the dress would look unfinished, as if you forgot to stitch down the back. 💕💕

if you let it drapped, it's gonna be a bit annoying if you move a lot or dance; but even thinking about that "detail", drapped looks like a great option ;)
This dress is amazing! 😍😍 I’m waiting patiently for the pattern to be released on Etsy so I can make ANOTHER Kiana design ❤️ I think leave the low back because some people won’t have rhinestone straps or shiny fabric so if they use a more dull woven fabric, the low back will be a highlight point of the dress ❤️🤍
