It's underrated for foreign tourist. But for Indonesian, Bandung is one of the top favorite place to travel.
Bandung is also a favorite place to visit for Asian tourists/expats (Japanese, Malaysian, Indian, Korean, etc.) especially for the expats who work in Jakarta. For them, Bandung is a right place for a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of Jakarta.

Bandung is holiday destination for Jakartans in the weekend. Bandung famous for its culinary, cafe, shopping and natural beauty. One of the best hotel in Bandung is Padma Hotel. There are so many option activities to do in Bandung. You can stay in villa in Lembang area or try stay in Luxurious Glamping. Bandung has many Glamping area such as Lakeside Ranca Bali, Trizara Lembang, Maribaya Tents etc.
Basically the most transmigrant is Sundanese, btw I'm Betawinese and mix Javanese

I’m not so tempting with shopping at Bandung. More to their foods and lots of nice sceneries. Hoping can go there when this COVID-19 pandemics turns to endemic. I’m from Malaysia 🇲🇾 btw.
I can recommend other great hotels in Bandung like The Gaia Hotel, the place is slightly at the top of Bandung (hill). It has an amazing view from the hotel, good facilities, and it is a comfortable hotel with unique modern architecture. This hotel just opened a few months ago.

You can't compare one region to other when you in Indonesia, Indonesia have many diversity, if you want enjoy the beach and some touristy place just go to Bali, if you want to experience the urban and modern city you can go to Jakarta, if you want cooler temperature, historical building and beauty nature go to Bandung, if you want to know more about Java culture and the temple sites just visit Jogja and Solo. If you want to enjoying the mountain and more wild nature just go to East Java, want more beach and seeing dragon komodo you can visit komodo island and lombok. And many hidden games that can't mention in Indonesia. Indonesia have many place that have own unique, own culture and own nature. Sorry if my English so bad, i hope you understand 🙏
Ya jelas mereka bandingkanlah walau dalam taraf positif kok penjelasan dia, vibe-nya, infrasutrukturnya dll. malah bagus bisa jadi masukan buat pemerintahn terkait agar lebih meningkatkan pelayanan dan kenyamanan. Apalagi sektor pariwisata babak belur dan mulai dari nol lagi.

Hope you enjoy today’s episode from Bandung. While definitely not as good as Bali it’s a very underrated City for foreign visitors (very busy with locals though). Great spot, good remote working cafes and good wifi is a Bonus. Agree.mostly the bule /foreigner only know bali but infact indonesia was huge and every state has beautiful places and amazing nature.mountains and beaches especially west java e.k.e its called PARIS VAN JAVA

Go to Tangkuban Perahu Mountain (it's easy access), tebing kraton, lembang area in north Bandung..
Then kawah putih, ranca upas, sunrise point cukul in southern part of Bandung. Its Amazing places to go! You have to visit..

Underrated, Maybe, but not Most...Well, Bandung always the best place for me as Jakarta citizen who want to back to nature, nice vibes, forrest, mountain and the Cafes, but so many places in Indonesia are Underrated, Yogyakarta i think suitable for you guys, the culture, the temple, the mystical things, and you're gonna love the food, why? because it's delicious and CHEAP PRICES, really!! many beaches you've visited, but you must come to Gili Trawangan Lombok, Bangka Belitung for the beautiful Rock Beach, Raja Ampat and Sumba..aaah, so many, they are all underrated, just experience it
The history is, The Dutch actually tried to move their capital city from Jakarta to Bandung, because of the temperature (you can find news clippings of this story at Hotel Grand Preanger). They had moved some of state-owned companies there, so such as PT Pos (Post Office), PT Telkom (Indonesia Telecom), and PT Pindad (Weapon Maker) are headquartered in Bandung
One of best places to visit in Indonesia. I’ve been there two times. Love their Sunda’s foods. Really delicious 🤤. Hoping can visit this place after covid-19 becomes an endemic. ❤️ from Malaysia 🇲🇾

Great to watch the way to express your first impression to my beaituful hometown although for foreigners, Bandung is an underrated place to visit, but if you were me, as the local resident, you will always love this city. FYI, Bandung is surrounded by 7 mountains, that is why you will always see mountains from your hotel window.
The place you were sitting at the hill, it is called Ciumbuleuit area, is one of the 3 northern areas in Bandung that you should visit. The other 2 are Lembang area which has still active volcano craters and Dago area, a place of our city forest. Each area offers different nice point of view and local uniqueness. Not to mention the southern part of Bandung has also good destinations to visit like the active volcano crater of Kawah Putih and Ranca Upas surrounded by tea plantation.
Overall, I wish both of you enjoy your stay in Bandung and I am looking forward to see another amazing videos of you about Bandung.

After Bandung you should go to Yogyakarta by the morning train from Bandung, the view along the way very astonishing and incredible.

For clothing, you can visit factory outlet in riau street. Also riau street is one of Bandung culinary center.
Another place for street food/culinary center is Cilaki/Cisangkuy street...also it is close to Gedung Sate---fun fact about Gedung Sate is, during the dutch colonial period, they try to move the capital from Batavia/Jakarta to Bandung, so they build Gedung Sate.
Initially i'm gonna recomend Gunung Tangkuban Parahu or Kawah Putih, but i think it is still closed.
Also you could try go to Sudirman street, again another street food/culinary center.

Bandung located 700 meters up surface of the sea level so the climate much cooler , try to visit
- Paris van Java ( its nice shops n cafe especially in the night time)
- Cihampelas Walk ( lots of shops, cinema and cafe)
- Bandung Super Mall ( at jalan Gatot Subroto) the biggest mall in Bandung & Trans studio park

Before the pandemic the city was filled with Malaysian tourists. It's very common to hear Malaysian accents being spoken in tourist area in Bandung. I think 99.99% foreign visitors coming to Bandung are Malaysians, even Air Asia opens direct flight from Malaysia to Bandung.

I'm an Indonesian and loves traveling and photography. Bandung is enjoyable, but to my liking Belitung is my fave place. Looks vintage, and I love observing peaceful life there when sunset, senior people chatting with their neigbours in their front yard, people are just so nice with each others there.

Oooooh, how I miss Bandung a lot !! I consider it as my second hometown since I lived there for almost 8 years. I usually stay in Dipatiukur near campus where I can find a lot of local food vendors. I just need the fresh air and the cool vibe there. It's a perfect town for a short getaway 😍😍😍😍.
Going east to neighboring province, then the city of Semarang, Solo, and Yogyakarta definitely worth to visit
with me being born in Bandung, ive never expected it to be underrated much.. sure bali is more overrated, but i never thought it to be that underrated... ! although city's are unique and beautiful in their own way, Bandung for me is the best!

If you still at Bandung, and If you rent car there you can visit Lembang, Dago, or Ciwidey... in Lembang so many area to visitors, like floating market, ranch and farm house... And maybe if you road to south you can go to pengalengan and Ciwidey to see many tea park

Guys, Bandung is consider a college town and is also has a big textile industry. If you guys still there, take a trip to "kawah putih" , check if "kampung daun" is open for business and "rumah mode" is a great place to hang out for the day and many more....

You have a local perspective. Bandung is extremely unknown outside of Asia. Compare international tourist rates of Bali to Bandung. Most people would have a hard time naming Jakarta as the capitol of Indonesia while everyone heard of Bangkok.Let alone anyone heard of Bandung. Let’s put it on the map!

Its so underated for tourist bule visitor but trust me bandung is a dream city for all people in indonesia. Especislly youth who wants to take a collage. Alot of clothing store cafe and nature pf course . Enjoy bandung

Underrated for foreign tourists but for locals especially Jakartans, Bandung is kinda like Bali for them.
Stayed there for around 10 days visiting my family there for the first time. While it wasnt like the best trip ever, it was something I'll never forget.

I live in Jakarta but I spent most of my life in Bandung. I miss Bandung all the time.
Try to make a cross Java overland sir. You can take trains and stay for one to 3 days at the cities that you pass by like Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Banyuwangi. You will have so many experiences.
You should go to, rancaupas, ranca buaya, lereng anteng, dago atas, lembang and fancy one sky view bandung
The scenery around Bandung is magnificent.. try to Dago Bakery in Punclut, tebing keraton, THR juanda, it is not far from your Hotel, then to Lembang in north of Bandung, to mount tangkuban parahu, to ciater hot spring water .
And also try to go to south of Bandung, to Kawah Putih, to situ Petenggang, to Ramca unpas camp to see sunrise, then situ Cileunca see sun set in Taman Langit.
