      @@FaRKle0079 After driven my 328i for 120k kilometres,my stock suspention has gone, so I got OHLINS R&T installed six months ago,so far happy with it,even happier when I looked into your research.
      But there's still significantly body roll when I'm cornering at high speed, so I decided to have Eibach anti roll bar (which is 28mm in the front and 16mm in the rear) install this week to see for any difference. The LSD would be next step.
      I'm wondering why is Wavetrac LSD being able to offer some load and lock in a no load situation? I was told the torson LSD such as Quaife is not able to lock in a no load situation like one wheel in the air.
      And because I'm in china, getting a Wavetrac or a Quaife is way to expensive almost like 3000 dollars to get everything done without mentioning the long shipment.
      So it would going to be a custom Torsen LSD copied from Quaife at local for me, I guess, and that is about to cost 1200 dollars to get everything done.
      One more thing I'm wondering, did you happen to find any understeer while deceleration after installed the LSD? I don't have any experience with a LSD car, but I was told the lockup is good for power steering but it could be understeer while off throttle.

      @@fujiki5507 Sounds like you've got some great mods! I'm not sure you need the rear bar since the Ohlins kit has pretty stiff rear springs. If you don't have to get it installed right away you might want to try just the front bar first.
      The Wavetrac LSD has internal plates with wavy surfaces that creates load on both sides under normal no-load conditions. This is why it can still bias under a one-wheel condition, and create bias under braking/deceleration, which is something other torsen differentials can't do (like Quaife). If you do get a Quaife, you shouldn't have any difference off throttle than you do now since it essentially acts as an open diff when off-throttle. The Wavetrac definitely stabilizes the rear when off-throttle, which was a bit surprising to me.

      @@FaRKle0079 I've noticed what you had experencing with a stiff rear ARB on the track, got me worried since the OHLINS is pretty stiff on the rear.But my stock ARB bushings are running out,and I've already ordered the EIBACH kit,so I guess I will have to install it right away within the shop.
      A street car for daily driving is what am I intend to build,I do not put the throttle too hard on the street,but love to drive it around 5000 revs,and I like it with a little slide on the rear,so I'm guessing the stiff rear ARB would be ok for me to try it out.
      Right now I've got a catless downpipe with everything else stock related to the engine,not planning on add more power,but I would like to modify the intake pipes and intercooler for reliability(not sure if that's going to be the case),can I have your advice?
      It's good to know that Wavetrac had make in more like a 1.5WAY LSD,it's definitely the best choice for F3X chassis,I will figure out to get myself one of these.

    Hello again,it't been 3 weeks since we had this conversation,and I had my 328 modified during the time.
    I took your advise to stick with the FTP pipes, and got myself a intercooler which is local made and copied from Wagner EVO 2. And I put a Awron gauge to check the IAT. With the boost peak @1.58bar,and IAT 15 - 25 celcius higher than ambient,I guess everything related to the intake and turbo is fine. Now the engine is having a little turbo lag, but it is ok for me. And I even had a oil catch can installed😊.
    Another thing is the Eibach ARB, I had the vender installed it for me, but had to do alignment myself. With these ARB, the car handling very well on the street and twitchy roads, I think that is what I aimed for, I even feel the suspension rides more freely after I had the endlinks aligned myself, and that is what I learned most from your video.
    But I do noticed that the ARB lever arms are not leveled from left to right both front and rear, and that is after I zero out the ARB preload. The front is a bit lower on the left, and the rear is a bit higher on the rear. Such causes the different endlink lengths.
    There was a tech guy from a local racing shop point out that the endlink must be exactly the same lengths for ARB to function right, and I don't feel any unbalance during steering or turns, so I insist what is more important is to zero out the preload, and he laught at me😂.
    Had me began to concern if the ARB was bend during shipment, but I took them our of box brand new, even if it was bend, no way the F&R bend at the same time.
    So I did a little research, found out there is no one understanding the ARB and the endlinks right at chinese net, they don't even know about preload, what a pity of their passion for auto modification.
    After a lot of google for the answer, I found two guys @miata fourm back in 2008, had montioned the endlinks could be different lengths to zero out the preload, probably the driver's side will be longer. And that is exactly what am I experiencing right now. So it worries me no more. And now I'm looking for LSD as final modification for my 328.
    One more thing, I'm stick with the "flat ride" theory that I learned from you, practiced in a drifting game on mobile which names Carx Drifting Racing 2, and some significantly benefits shows on my tunes, very happy with it.😁
    Thank you😁👍

      @FaRKle0079  4 года назад +2

      Wow, you've made quite a bit of progress, congrats on the mods! Good on you for confirming the research and not just taking the shop's word for it. I find it pretty funny how you used a racing game to test/prove flat ride works. That's innovative!

    • @fujiki5507
      @fujiki5507 4 года назад +2

      @@FaRKle0079 I doubted the endlinks have to be the same lengths cause they don't even know about preload.
      I believed in "flat ride" cause the natural frequencies curve shows the front and rear of the suspension will be settle at almost the same time, that helps a lot of driving commfort and handling druing extremely driving condition. So there it goes the "flat ride", the golden key of street car tuning.
      I think the natural frequencies helps alot in track driving, simply use them for oversteer or understeer specs. And tune the dampers to have a smooth weight transfer speed.

      In many cases a wheel might have been slipping with open diff, but is not slipping thanks to LSD. The feeling can be similar to torque vectoring: rather than peeling the inside wheel, the outer wheel receives that 'waste' torque instead, pushing the car into the corner.
