ABS and Traction Control Light Simple Easy Fix - Seat Leon 2.0 TDI

  • In this video we fix the SEAT Leon 2.0 TDI with multiple warning lights on the dashboard. The ABS, traction control and steering assist warning are all fixed using some basic diagnostic equipment and skills. The car was showing error code 00278 pointing to a sensor issue, which was not exactly correct =. Follow me to see how I fixed this in a simle and easy way.     So had same fault on mine, I replaced abs speed sensor and wheel bearing, warning lights have come back. Any suggestions?

    Thanks.. did the sensor go off soon as you replaced the hub or do you need to disconnect the battery to reset it? Thanks man.

    hi i have seat leon with red light on got now shock and springs on back then light came on i dont whant to spend more to find falt but would you think it the same sterring is working fine no probleams no other lights

    I have the same problem after changing the front left and right hub, the front left is coming up as a mechanical error. I need to tackle it, but I don't know what could cause it on a new bearing and hub.

    Mines the same on the TT but its the abs sensor, can't get it off cos the Allen bolt is rounded of inside🤬

      try cutting a notch in it so you can use a flat head to remove it

      Yeh but it's worth it in the long run if you eager to work on your own cars

      That would depend on how many cars you have and how old and prone to defects they are.

      @@Peter_Riis_DK I don't have vcds myself I just use Carista and pay the monthly premium of I think a fiver.. for now does me for what I need

    Gutted it wasn't a G201 code. So far my fix is to just tape up the light. Next step is to get an entire abs unit from the scrappy and hope that doesn't have the code on it too

      @@zainamir3575 nope. Still taped up until Mr MOT guy notices it. ABS still works, just no traction control. When he does notice it, it's a new ABS unit. No other way around it
