I just found your channel with your meal prep after surgery video. Now watching this video, I just wanted to say I’m sorry girl that U went through all this with not seeing the results you were hoping for. I Just had Gastric Bypass on Oct 7. Just before going in to surgery the surgeon came by to mark my tummy and to sign consent forms and said “Sometimes when we go in and if we find to much scaring that will make it hard to do the procedure or make it dangerous we will not do it” Just make sure that it’s possible before u spend that money again and it’s safe to do. I live in Canada And I know that things can be different here then in the US and the medical system and rules are not the same. I wish u all the best and I just want to say that the first video was so informative and one of the tops so far for detail In Your meal prep video. New sub🥰🥰🥰
No question, just a bit of encouragement. You were one of the very first people I followed when I began considering VSG 3 yrs ago. You were & still are an inspiration. Even with this new situation, you continue to help. I wish you peace & a successful procedure.
When you began to cry, I started crying, too. I wish I could send you a hug! I also have reflux & Gerd. I am so happy that you are going to have relief soon! I have seen the way you've been working out for years. I'm sorry you've been suffering. I'm so glad that you advocated for yourself!
Wait! Shawn was abusive?? Oh shit! You always said how wonderful and supportive he was. Where are you now???? I want you to come back and document your new journey!! Please come back, even if you arent doing as well as you hoped. We want real Sheeka!!
I had revision too with Advent Health. So far so good. Recovery has been sooo much easier than vsg. Plus GERD is gone!! That was my issue. It was terrible 😣
Oh wao girl..I have the same issue 🙄 i have GERD as a side effect and live on omeprazole. It helps me taking the pill right before going to bed. I stress eat and the pandemic really did it to me. I gained some of the the weight back in like 3-4 months. During my pregnancy, I only gaind 20 lb, I was so sick could not hold anything down. I am almost 3 years post op now. I have a precious 5 month old baby boy. But I am so close to the 200 that it scares me. My initial weight was 230 my lowest that i knew was 156. Hope everything goes smoothly with your surgery 🙏
Hi dear. I have several friends who converted from sleeve to bypass due to gerd they lost little to no additional weight and weight loss is slow as a snail!!!!! But it does correct the gerd issue. Best of luck to you but don’t expect drastic weight loss but at least the gerd will go away. Be blessed and safe surgery.
I definitely feel your pain and so sorry you had to go through this. I’m actually 5weeks post op right now and I have gerd/ acid reflux and my first 2weeks I was throwing up acid from night till morning I was severely dehydrated. While I was in the hospital they gave me lansoprazole and that has been a lifesaver. What I’m wondering is how long will this last because I think eventually I’ll also have to have a revision 😭
I’m sorry that you’re going through this, too! Did you happen to have the sleeve surgery? If so, it never gets better unless you’re taking medication. Once I got my revision, I had to take Protonix for 90 days for any left overs acid, but I have not had a single episode of reflux since the night after surgery. Good luck to you!
@@SheekasHealthyLife Wow that’s awesome I’m so happy for you !!! And yes I got the sleeve that’s so sad to hear because I don’t wanna go through another surgery but it does give me some hope thank you so much ❤️
Hi! Congratulations on your upcoming revision. From surgery date to today I have lost 32lbs. I’ll be 5 months post op in a couple weeks. It’s a lot slower, but I prefer it

That is such a good thing to hear! Literally all that I want! Thank you!!!!
I recently did a revision for different reasons but I can relate to the weight gain, hyper food focus, and the anxiety surrounding it.
Sending love, good vibes and support to you!
I miss you and all the other YT that were with me 4 years ago when we stared our journey ❤
I’m glad that we are all still around! I promise to be more active going forward!

Lack of sleep and not enough water will definitely make you gain weight.
