1 day Post Op | VSG to Bypass

Hi everyone! Just wanted to detail my first day at home after revision surgery! I wasn’t expecting to lose any weight, but I am already 15lbs down from my pre-op weight.

I had vsg in 2014, I developed a gastritis, acid reflux, and my stomach was sitting on top of my liver. I had so much scare tissue from a previous c sections, gall bladder surgery, and the vsg that my sleeve had way too much restriction resulting in horrible vomiting in my sleep. My revision to bypass was done on 11/30 and I feel fine but my hemoglobin dropped to 6.

I’m glad that you feel fine. I would 100% speak to your doctor regarding your hemoglobin being that low, I’m not a doctor but it’s a little concerning.

Congratulations to you. Happy healing. I’m thinking of revision from vsg to bypass. I don’t have gerd but I am overeating and bad habits are back. Glad to see your better. Which Advent Health did you go too?

Thanks! I went to the one in Altamonte Springs, FL. I’d talk to your doctor regarding revision, they were very strict with it and I had to jump through soooo many hoops

Why did you go to bypass If you went down to 135 with sleeve?
