When Sonya stabbed Kano in the eye, I was never convinced he was dead. Ain't no way the studio would leave him dead without the iconic metal eye plate.

@@kennybomb - You are right, I forgot about that movie concept. It just seems weird for Kano to go out like that without his metal eye plate. Big fan of MK since the beginning.
Well kano took his mark correct which I'm sure was taken from kabel and that's y they talked the way they did as if they had fought 1 another but hey kabel was originally a cop with striker so I'm just guessing if kano got his mark and kabel was still alive maybe when the fighters r unable to fight and on brink of death the mark leaves and that is how it has played out I'm just thinking of a way it can all work out and this is my best guess and Raiden/Lui Kang was who told kano to put the amulet back and that part was in the movie

That's not how it works. If Kabal didn't have his mark, he wouldn't be able to use special abilities such as super speed vs. Liu. We aren't even sure if Kabal was a kop in this universe. I dont remember them kovering that.
It's just bad writing is why we are all konfused. Yet, Kano not ever having the metal plate and also getting his eye impelled just tells me it's not over for him. But he clearly died because Sonya gained the mark. It's stupid.
The arcana thing alone is stupid. It was done better when they didn't explain abilities in the klassic movies.
2:00 Shang calls him by name “Syzoth” in the movie when he tells Mileena to “send in the reptilian, Syzoth”. Sorry I must of watched the movie 20 times. I’m old enough to remember MK1 coming out in arcades and changing the world so a semi decent MK movie sent me on a binge for a while there :). But in MK nobody stays dead so here’s hoping for the green suit ninja.
They should kill off Cole young in the opening scene and let the real mortal kombat begin.

Oh my God thank you for saying what I was thinking. Reptile was always my favorite character in the game. I really want to see him in his NINJA form. He looked really cool in the first movie 1995. Hope they do it!
Kano , Sub-Zero and Kung Lao were the best things about the 2021 movie...Kano just brought the energy and humor he was hilarious as fuck , Sub-Zero was a cold savage and lastly Kung Lao had the baddest entrance
