Wow! Those roads made me feel dizzy 😵💫 felt like i was on the big dipper at a funfair 😂 i thought at one point the road would be so narrow that you'd get stuck 😅 the windy roads were like something from The Shining film and a bit creepy 😬 Definitely in the middle of nowhere that house, but what a hidden gem it is! Absolutely stunning! And another fabulous but difficult job well done. Good job you're not scared of heights 😮The beams look more modern now. Triffic!! 👏👏👏
😂 what don't come across on the video is I was hitting the trees above and at the side one point I thort my wing mirror was going to fold itself in 😬 all I was thinking was slog and get it done so I don't have to drive back the next day 😂
Flash backs from same driving situations trying to get on site! And the tower scaffold! Isn’t it strange that satellite are bad in the country and in cities! It’s almost as if satellites are cartoons and they are really using triangulation from cell towers. Modern science is a fairy tale! Well done for doing that ceiling it is hard hard work ❤
That road was terrible Mick, one of those were you know you have to keep going as nowhere to turn. I remember a very memorable journey in Oxfordshire with a 12 ' trailer behind my sprinter van following a satnav. I ended up getting directed down a single track lane with a padlocked shut gate and having to turn in a field, luckily it was at the base of a hill and fairly dry so i turned of the esp and floored it useing the momentum to stop me from getting stuck!
😬 what isn't coming across on the video is I'm hitting a lot of trees and buses both sides 😬 going up the hills I honestly thought I was going to end up roiling back down it 😂
it's never fun having to strike the scaffold tower every 5 minutes just to move it 5 feet but what can you do eh. to be fair they do provide a nice safe platform to work. cracking job mick
You may have said, but what is the blasting media for wood beams? This was done to an old barn near me but they used media that really took a lot out of the beams. You seem to be using much more appropriate media or pressure (probably both factor in). I think I enjoyed watching the drive to the site way more than you did. Thanks for making these.
😊 I was bricking it on the drive cliffs at the side of me low trees tite and steep hills very much out of its water on them roads 🫣 I used crushed glass but this isn't the set media alot of factors play a part in media and psi choice I swap about through the job using what's best at the time. These had been blasted before and also had alot of weather damage and dry rot but still safe. Water damage was playing with me one moment I was flying and making really good progress then I hit area's that I was thinking at the time if I have anymore like this its soon going to become a 2 day job 🫣 luckily that wasn't the case 😊👌👍
Don't hate on me; you did a fantastic job but I like the look of the darkened old beams. Serious props on climbing that scaffolding -- that would have been a hard "HELL NO!!!!" for me. I'm under 5' tall (1.5 ish meters) and I've always said it's a good thing God made me this short because if I was any taller I would be afraid to stand up! 😆😆 I got queasy just watching the video lol.
😊 everyone has their own opinion in person they looked a lot better than the video is showing. I nearly did not load all the scaffolding into the truck because like I said it had the floor in when I quoted the job I was been lazy and loading it all with the forklift instead of taking only what I thort I needed 😂
That's nuts asking you to go down a cow path to work. Those houses were built for a horse and buggy not a commercial vehicle. You need to change triple for the drive alone.
I should invest in a better app road lords is good at avoiding bridges etc but not so practical at knowing if it's a good root google maps found alot better root home but I had to work harder than I liked looking for low bridges and weight limits 😬
@@Mobileblaster I don't know about Europe but here in the States we have exclusive truck GPS as well as normal vehicle GPS available. Hope you find a good truck GPS Man.
@charleswelch249 yeah that's what I'm using I enter the perimeters of my truck like hight width wight and it keeps me away from all the restrictions but it doesn't check to see if its a good root it just makes me legal to drive on them roads. 🫣
It was a shock this day I set off with half tank in the truck and I had to fill up just before I got their compressor got filled the night before because I loaded up elsewhere as I new it was going to be a long trip 😬
@@Mobileblaster mate I did 20yrs as a tourist coach driver I a very similar day in another state cos of those bloody GPS think 13.5 Mt coach on the simar roads you just drove lol like me you'll look back and laugh
