I know she can sing really high, and she absolutely should show that off, but her low notes are seriously underrated. Her low range is just as gorgeous as her high range.
Every time I listen to her songs I always rewind the low notes. So beautiful.

i would recommend her positions vevo live sessions but positions (the song) in particular, she uses a loop pedal to create her own harmonies and background vocals and it's really impressive! her performance of off the table with the weeknd is really great too :)

It really is something that people pick up through practice. I've been singing casually for the past 4 years and well I might be lucky but sometimes I have some ease with harmonizing that comes from this little experience and some lucky brain functions. I can imagine the harmonies but the practice will help me execute them correctly. Pretty much she is super talented, she is imagining all the harmonies, and she is super devoted to her craft that she now masters her accuracy and her musicality is out of this world. We are lucky to have her as a role model and a person to look up to.
Her vocals and her ear are underappreciated!
i love this ariana vid so much! her voice sounds amazing, her harmonizing skills are UNREAL, and i really like that you can see she's pleasant/positive to work with -- she says thank you a lot, apologizes when she accidentally speaks over the producer, etc. it's also really impressive how quickly the producer(s) are able to make the adjustments she requests. idk enough about music production to know if this is rare or commonplace, but it seems like their process is very fastpaced and collaborative, which is really rad.
i think another cool example of ariana's harmonizing abilites is her vevo live performance of "positions;" you kind of get to see her do this by herself -- like, she builds the song harmonies live, ALONE, and it's super cool. i actually really like all the parts of the vevo live series for the album; it's really well put together. they were originally put up as separate videos but iirc there's a full-length one now with all of them that's maybe 20-ish minutes. not sure if that's too long for a reaction vid, but imo "positions" and "my hair" were the standouts (the WHISTLEEEEE NOTESSSSS omfg).

I'm most impressed by how hard it looks like she works, listening to herself and not just taking what she's done on face value, willing to try something different and build on her performance to make it better. She's so amazing.
I love how she’s like let me do it one more time over and over … as if it wasn’t flawless already. (I feel like she’s probably a perfectionist)

stoppp I was already so obsessed with her voice but I didn't realize how talented she truly was as a musician as a whole and how she thought of more things to add to make the song better in such a quick amount of time, that was so cool and interesting to see!! also I've seen the videos you made on Why Don't We and so you should react to either their newest song called Don't Wake Me Up or another song of theirs called Love Back! Don't Wake Me Up specifically is a bit different compared to their songs that you've already reacted to but it (and Love Back) are still really really good nonetheless!

If you're gonna do more vocalist deep dives, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do Marina, formerly known as Marina and the Diamonds. Easily one of the most unique vocalists in pop. And as a voice teacher, there's gotta be a LOT to talk about.

Amber Riley’s version of Ain’t No Way is just mind blowing
This is amazing composition of a vocal track. She uses her voice like an entire orchestra. Most people start with piano or guitar chords, then do a baseline and then do lyrics and melody or do this exact process in reverse if the lyrics come first
But doing this all with vocals and such a bare track is fascinating. It's proper writing without music in its traditional form. She is probably fearless because she has no idea what exact note she is singing (and couldn't write down what she is singing without deeply thinking about it) so it's boundless and without fear.
When you write on paper and stave and know your range, you are bound within your comfort zone when writing melodies.
It's totally new to me to see someone working like this on the fly. I can almost forgive her shit lyrics for the amazing sound and melodies.

Yes!! More of these types of videos, PLEASE! I prefer these much more than the movie reactions. The movie reactions really limit the reaction of the music/artistry whereas an individual clip of a song really allows you to dive into the song and let us know how they are doing it. Hope you consider it!!
