Thanks for the video, your efforts are very much appreciated. The wiki doesn’t really have this type of information. I’ve been trying to get away from using Flame of the Redmanes and the Fallingstar Beast Jaw for poise damage, so it’s nice to see how they all compare with one another.
odorvis's vortex is interesting. I use the greatsword and i knew the ash of war did lots of poise damage, but not THAT much. But it's weird, because her poise never reset, as if you have to hit her before you use it or after it to break her poise.
Great video. I am trying to find the best AOW for spears. I've seen that although Impaling thrust has a lot of clout for being a great stance breaking AOW, Piercing Fang appears to deal the same amount of poise damage (36), however has the added ability of doing 100% of shield damage, versus impaling thrust's 85%. On top of that, Giant's Hunt might be the best AOW for stance breaking because it does 40 poise damage with the added bonus of ragdolling human-like NPCs. I think for now the best spear AOW for stance breaking is Gian'ts Hunt. Storm Assault has more hyperarmor but deals less poise damage. My ranking is Giant's Hunt > Piercing Fang > Impaling Thrust > Storm Assault for spears (if youre looking for a stance breaking build). Thanks gangsta
glintstone pebble deal additional attack, flaming strike deal additional attack, square off have alternate attack, but anyway thanks, you're the only who made it
Thanks for the vid...i wish you'd done the follow up attack on Flaming Strike, that imbues the blade with flames and strikes with the weapon, as you did with the others that had follow up attacks...
Can you do for the weapons ? You know, there's a difference between poise damage between the same type wepon(like, great mace's poise damage is better than other great hammers) and I'd like to know the difference
Edit: some ashes change poise damage based on the weapon type, lion's claw on a colossal hammer does more poise damage than on a greatsword for instance. Old, incorrect comment: Ashes use their own poise damage, so it doesn't change based on weapon type. A greatsword with blood tax does the same poise damage as a dagger with blood tax, for example.
@@___.51 No, that's not true. Just tested Lion's Claw on omens in Undergroung Roadside. On straight swords it needs 3 attacks to break stance (without stonebarb cracked tear). On great hammers it only needs two.
Eldenring needs a display hidden stats for many of the items, weapons, armor, incantations, etc. Instead of showing a brief description like: "This thing increases your damage when your health is low". It would be a cool feature if you could see different colored numbers when you do attacks to show how much damage is physical/non physical. And also show golden numbers if the type of weapon/non physical attacks are effective. All the numbers should be displayed next to the health bars with small numbers. Imagine if you could visualize break posture by a grey shattering effect on the enemy model when you hit it. The more you hit the brighter or larger the cracks get.
Is that pose or stance? I think that's stance. Before 1.07, I distinctly remember Giant Hunt can poise break even Zamor Knights but it dealt little to no stance break. It wasn't after 1.07 that 3 consecutive Giant Hunts would stance break a Zamor knight.
that would have to go to Serpent hunter or the eleonoras poleblade however you'd still need to hit all the follow ups, safest would probably go to flame of the redmanes or the glintblade phalanx.
I was really looking forward to this, sadly disappointed a lot since you missed like half of the skills, their variations or follow ups, thanks for trying I guess.
No Ice Spear or Gravitas. I've had Ice Spear stance break bosses in 4 hits and Gravitas likely has a multiplier on flying enemies as it instantly stance breaks them.

Hey, thank you for this breakdown. I’ve been trying to find this as well. You’ve narrowed down the search! Thanks again man :)
Please do this for Sorceries and Incantations. Some of them can do a crazy amount of poise damage, like The Flame of Frenzy.
glintstone pebble deal additional attack, flaming strike deal additional attack, square off have alternate attack, but anyway thanks, you're the only who made it
Thanks for this incredible work.
So piercing fang and impaling thrust now do the same posture damage?
Great work btw
How can I get access to that bar that shows enemy hp and poise? How is it called?
W
What is the Prayerful Strike poise damage?
Thanks for the vid...i wish you'd done the follow up attack on Flaming Strike, that imbues the blade with flames and strikes with the weapon, as you did with the others that had follow up attacks...
do weapon types please. I'm confused that some great hammer stun bosses easier than some colossal weapons
PS. from the DOC, you can guess which specific weapon you should try separately
19:57 What is that fire breath attack before Bear Witness is used? Is this some sort of October Fools trick?
@Smael I haven't been able to find any mention of it anywhere, so my best guess is that it's modded in, the same way that the poise meter is
Highly underrated video
Awesome video. Would love to see this for weapons. Hard to beat Glintblade Phalanx for Stance breaking.
That's a decent reasearch here! Any chance you can test sorceries/incantations poise damage ?
Great video, But I was hoping you'd test the altered R2 of war cry, barbaric roar, and that other roar
Holy buttslam I didn't think that was as effective as it was xD
Can you do for the weapons ? You know, there's a difference between poise damage between the same type wepon(like, great mace's poise damage is better than other great hammers) and I'd like to know the difference
Edit: some ashes change poise damage based on the weapon type, lion's claw on a colossal hammer does more poise damage than on a greatsword for instance.
Old, incorrect comment:
Ashes use their own poise damage, so it doesn't change based on weapon type. A greatsword with blood tax does the same poise damage as a dagger with blood tax, for example.

than you very much for this
What was the tool that you used to show the poise value of the enemies? The information regarding poise damage on fextralife is largely unrealiable
What's the name mod you using?
On Ghostflame ignition & takers flame the actual sword does damage as well you have to stand closer
Do you happen to know where I can find this information on incantations and spells? Great video keep up the amazing work!
I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW MYCH POISE YOU MEED TO TANK STROM STMOMP
Where is the spreadsheet?
Glinstone Phalanx is best poise crusher with 10/14 fp cost.
thank you so much

In conclusion : which one is the best for poise break?
Does anyone know what mod this is that displays stance damage?
any update for flame of the redmane? they just got nerf hard
does 10 stance damage instead of 40 now
It’s garbage now
I cannot see the poise numbers on mobile
Are you sure that there's no hidden multiplier for stealth involved? I'm pretty sure FotRM and square off do 40 poise damage
there is no hidden poise/stealth mechanic as far as I'm aware
@@opossumofficial illusory walls poise video says there is a 20% poise damage multiplier for stealth

@@opossumofficial 26:15 in his "Poise explained" video
@@Bill_9999 yeah it does seem like there is a 20% poise damage multiplier, thanks for letting me know (never knew about it)
hey, thanks for the video, that’s a toon of work!
Can’t find Prayerful Strike ash of war though, could you help me out with the timestamp?
How to get mod for visible poise?
Why did you use the second attacks?

Stance is what makes you fall or being thrown away, right? I think poise is the one that when broken you can riposte/critical hit
Can you remake this vídeo?
So all in all which had the biggest poise dmg?
that would have to go to Serpent hunter or the eleonoras poleblade however you'd still need to hit all the follow ups, safest would probably go to flame of the redmanes or the glintblade phalanx.
