My home turf. I have hiked the entire length, both sides and visited the park hundreds of times. I lived walking distance from Valley Green for some time.
There are at least 35 miles of trails altogether at the park, many of which are not on the map. I feel like i see something new there almost every time i go
Thanks for the video. I hiked to the statue on MLK day 2019... It was cold, single digits, but I dressed warm and only saw 2 other people. Cold, quiet and peaceful - great hike.. the rocks, schist and garnet were cool. I hiked 2 hours, ate at Bob's diner then hiked some more 🙂
I love your videos. Thanks for taking me along. Your "haunted" series is my favorite. I would love to see you explore more historic &/or abandoned graveyards, but not at night. Lol. Thanks again and keep on hiking.
At 8:13 as the words 'come to' are spoken there is a glimpse of an animal with antlers to the left, level with Cliff's mouth. It's quick. Beautiful Hike.
LOVE THE PARK AND THE INDIAN STATUE ALSO I THOUGHT WAS SO COOL. I HOPE SOMEONE WOULD TRIM THE BRANCHES THAT ONE CAN SEE HIM FOR MILES. VERY HANDSOOME. I LOVE STATUES LIKE THAT, THINK IT ADDS SO MUCH TO THE PARK.
Brother this is my back yard! Great to see you hear Im a fan of your videos...check out ‘Unsanctioned and Inspired’ on Hidden City Philadelphia...it documents a really cool place not too far from where you are in this video...lets just say I know who built it and would be happy to take you there next time your in Philly. I know the park like the back of my hand i can show you all around...and Pennypack too!! By the way, yes, Fairmount Park is the biggest urban park in the world!
Excellent video ! Thank you for showing my Home area. Haven't been home since 1984
My dog and I hike the Wissahickon every day. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

One of the world's great urban parks. I learned to fly-fish there and got in a lot of my early birding hikes along the stream and hillsides.
Thanks for taking me places I will likely never get to!
Thanks for watching.
I am from right around the corner, and that awesome stone bridge is where we used to have kegs in high school
