I use to live in the Hermitage. My dad was Assistant Director of Fairmount Park, John J Higgins and he died in this house. My family lived there from 1958 to 1964. My sister Sheila has done a lot of research on the history on the house and Kelpius. She might want to get in touch with you.

While walking in that area, I was always so curious about that house. And the cave intrigued me. Thanks for the historical facts.

In the 60's, the Philadelphia Inquire did an article about Fairmount worker's living in the historic houses. This was done ti protect them. Because of this irresponsible article, the oark commissions move the people out and the city lost several of these important housesvto vandalism. Luckily this house has servived.

I am Sheila. I lived with my siblings and parents, in the time frame noted by my sister M, in Hermitage Mansion, and have done extensive research on the history of the house. I will not share this research with you. I will only say, much of what you said in your video is not accurate. I will try to contact you by stopping by in the next few weeks.

Why won't you share your research?
