    I juse leased a Prologue. I love how it steers and rides. I love the blander look compared to the Blazer.
    I got the touring trim and am impressed with all the features. Everything is practically automatic. Im happy so far. I also bought a charger converter to use Tesla chargers. Just a FYI for people - in the Tesla app dont put a Honda Prologue in for your car, its not working right. Wont show any charging stations. Put that you have the 24 Blazer EV with adapter, and everything pops up as normal.

      Curious, how much did you get the lease for? I’m looking at the EX version 199 a month 5K total down

    Thank you for highlighting the OnStar button in the Prologue;
    *Definitely* waiting for Honda to build their own EV now. Hopefully one that doesn't sound so _soothing_ from the outside 😂

    I have the Blazer EV and thought I would really hate not having CarPlay. I don't miss it at all. I can still use Siri through the Bluetooth connection and Apple Music. It even shows the album art on the screens. I do get text messages and Google reads them to me.

    Another issue with the Chevy is that you are stuck with a pitiful six speaker base sound system, while the Honda offers a Bose system (AND Apple CarPlay)

    • @shethjones4494
      @shethjones4494 2 месяца назад

      that isnt the whole story- the 12 speaker BOSE is only on one trim of Prologue and BOSE is only on one trim of Blazer EV- so they both need to do better with that.

    In my opinion, I like the interior of the Chevy more. However, I like the panoramic roof, apple car play and the manual open charge door of the Honda prologue. Therefore Honda has my pick.

  • @theresapal

    No Apple car play on the Blazer was a deal breaker for me. We bought the Prologue Elite.
    I’m going to miss the rear view mirror camera that I had on my 2019 Bolt.

    As with most iphone using reviewers you really gave no details or context to the Blazer's infotainment system. YOu can definitely receive and send text messages from the blazer with an iphone, it's just all voice based. Also you failed to mention you can access your apple music and other things via SIri with the blazer even though it doesn't have carplay. You also failed to mention the fact that any navigation based apps in the blazer are integrated with the car and can show you actual range data as you drive- something you aren't going to get with phone projection. And while its true that most brands offer carplay, you didnt mention the two biggest American EV OEMS do not offer it.

      I did touch upon the Siri Eyes Free in the Blazer standup. And I like Google Maps with those EV features but the typical EV driver rarely needs that information when going about daily driving…I almost never need to publicly charge because I charge at home. As for Tesla and the others…not having CarPlay has nothing to do with any of their sales success. It’s a demerit.

    • @shethjones4494
      @shethjones4494 2 месяца назад

      @@connorpoultney4400 this isn't first or the last to not offer phone projection. Phone projection was far more important years back when cars natively lacked connectivity and apps. Apps in your phone are absolutely not connected to in vehicle data but the apps native to Android automotive are integrated with the car.

    • @shethjones4494
      @shethjones4494 2 месяца назад

      @@stevehammes my point is the notion that people won't buy a car without carplay has already been debunked by Teslas success. As of q3 GM outsold Ford and Hyundai and both of those oems have carplay in EVs. So there just isn't any evidence that this is a huge sales deterrent.

    No doubt the Blazer looks trendy and cool, but given that I have been in an Apple "ecosystem" for many more years than I have for GM products, I can't shift my loyalty to the Blazer just for the looks. I mean...I now have a 2TB iCloud subscription for my data! 😁

      That's exactly why I don't buy Apple products. They capture you into their cult and you can't get out, even though there are better products for the money. I ditched my iPhone after the iPhone 4 when Android started offering better phones. ( BTW, I bought a Blazer EV RS. The lack of CarPlay was a bonus for me.) 🙂

      @fiily1 11 дней назад

      @fauge7 He's not a dummy, but range is the limiting factor on all EV's, and getting 300 miles of range isn't worth the outlandish price tag of $50K+, and playing the charging waiting game along with "discovering" charging stations are the only thing you think about with an EV What is my range before, during, and after the drive.
      I have an EV, but never again, infrastructure in smaller cities just isn't there, cannot charge at work, or if renting you're out on an EV, this is pandering toward rich people who own homes that they can charge the car in every night, when the reality is 40%+ of the US population are renters.
