    For anyone who only rides 10 days a year and has new boots...
    Rather than waste a day in pain, wear your new boots around the house, jog around in them, and pack socks down in them to pack them in ahead of time so when you get to the hill, they feel good.

    • @brit1259
      @brit1259 7 месяцев назад

      Also, heat them with a hair dryer or boot warmer before putting them on is great too.

    Off the subject, I just found out, if you have to buy a pass at song mountain near Syracuse, that pass will work for both song mountain and Labrador mountain in the same day. I highly doubt they'll make you buy a pass but I can't say for sure. Hopefully you'll still be able to come this year but if not, there's always another year. 🤘🤘

    I normally buy the boots one size bigger.

  • @trentb1
    @trentb1 6 месяцев назад +2

    Might be bs but I asked the Burton rep in Vail about binding loosening on their rail system and he said you have to use their shorter mounting screws with the black coating. I bought a set of their step ons and it came with a set of longer stainless screws for the trad 4-hole and shorter black screws for Burton boards.

    Love the riding...sketchy on the other folks passing too close to you...but that's why you keep your head on the swivel. Love the camaraderie you guys have. Keep the positive flow going between you guys. Heat molded boot that fits is good. Just not too big - a GOOD boot fitter should guide you based on where your toes are in front - when you stand in the athletic = riding stance. Not too stiff for beginners. More stiff - the more experienced you are. Preference is key. Ride On!!

    Considering well fitting boots are the most important part of a snowboarding set-up (as ill fitting boots will give you pain all day), I'd never suggest anyone buy boots half-a-size smaller - it's a world of pain waiting to cut your day short!
    Buy boots that fit snugly and if you can get them heat molded.

    • @jeremybland7974
      @jeremybland7974 7 месяцев назад +1

      Yea man...I listened to the guy at ski barn and went a half size down....the toe pushed my toenails back into my nail bed from digging in toe side turns and ended up losing both big toenails...took about 8 months to grow back fully lol...dont listen to that shit about buying down to break down true to size....buy comfortable

    • @bartsimpsonhead
      @bartsimpsonhead 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@jeremybland7974 absolutely. 8-hours of foot pain on the mountain isn't fun, and most people will give-up riding after a couple of hours. I'm surprised he gave out such bad advise - crippling your customers/viewers is rubbish advice.
      Anyone reading this, your toes should *just* touch the inside of the liner, so that when you lean forward in your boot your heel settles into the heel cup and the toes move back away from the front of the boot - buy boots half-a-size too small and they'll just press all day long and cause you pain.

    I have wide feet, the pain of using wrong boots is absolutely unbearable. I bought Burton Photons Wide, fits like a glove. I wore them around the house for 2 days, as in, I didnt walk around in them a lot, I just wore them in front of my computer or when watching TV. Helped a lot when I went snowboarding this weekend. Some pain, as you expect, but not as bad as it could have been.

    Honestly even if the selfie stick was removed out of the clip of you snowboarding in the forest I still think the 360 view of the X3 looks the best.
    (Update) the Ace pro did handle the cloudy low-light conditions like a champ. I don't know if the X3 would do that well.

    I’ve snowboarded for probably around 10 yrs and feel like I’m pretty good but I’ve always rented bc I go once a year for vacation, but now I have to opportunity to go more often and I am starting to look for my own stuff. I’ve been looking at bindings and am wondering if I should get the step ons/clews or if I should get normal strap bindings! Any suggestions will help!!!

    • @llxMIMICxll
      @llxMIMICxll 7 месяцев назад

      I got both and I enjoy using both! Tho I prefer using the step ons more just because you don’t have to setup your straps every time you start the day. Step ons, you literally just step on, no worries about straps. Just don’t forget to slide your snowboard pants in the clip on the back of the boot!
