Yeah I was rooting for the Raiders in super bowl 37.I don't see how they didn't keep it a close game against the Buccaneers. But also Tampa Bay had an incredible defense in 2002.I guess defense does win championships sometimes.

For my money, that Raiders era is one of the top five offensive core groups in league history not to get a ring. Although disappointing for a lot of his career, the 2000-2002 version of Rich Gannon was just as good as his supporting cast. Speaking of which, those weapons 😮

This was one of the very times I was stunned by a playoff game. And it happened twice that day. Good think I never gambled. Because I was so sure of a Vikings/Raiders Super Bowl XXXV that I would have wagered a huge sum on those conference championship games. And in hindsight the 2000 Ravens were, imo, the most dominant champion of the decade.

It's too bad it didn't work out for us that year. What a great team we had though. I'm never going to hang my head in shame. We did our very best. The Ravens were a juggernaut, for sure.

Other Raiders fans like to blame the Siragusa hit, but Gannon was already struggling well before that. Gruden stubbornly kept trying to run when there just wasn't anything there without the outside speed threat of Napoleon Kaufman. Raiders should've played up tempo and used their pass catching backs (Terry Kirby and Randy Jordan) against Ray Lewis and Jamie Sharper...that was the only advantage they had and it took until the 4th quarter for Gruden to figure it out.

@@lewis9702 You mean they knocked out Gannon? I appreciate GOOD DEFENSE not two inept offenses playing like shit.

@@tylongkicks8821 That game was better this one. It was a true Defensive game. Warner didn’t get knocked out like Gannon did but King played like King so the score stayed a Rays vs Cardinals score until he hit Rickey late for the GWing TD.

Soft as baby shit. Especially when a team like the Raiders with their history is doing the complaining.

All the Raiders fans had to leave with all their Raiders costumes jingling and jangling. It was funny to think about but having been on the losing side with my beloved Ravens....well....any true fan knows that feeling.

I will always remember our GREAT RAVENS 🐦‍⬛ Defense from the 2000 season! WOW we had something special! This is before Ed Reed, T Sizzle! We still gonna bring it in 2024!
