I don't this research will fall in line with JKs teaching.. Research basically motivated with economic interests, will try to blame on external factors for the pyschological disorders

@ 4:50 that is an interesting point. The common modern usage of "ecstasy" tends to be "an overwhelming feeling of joy or happiness", whereas the original "Old English" meaning of the word is "standing outside oneself." That said, the two meanings merge together nicely in deep meditation, as achieving the goal of standing outside oneself tends to result in an overwhelming feeling of joy or happiness. 😅

Pleasure is joy and ecstasy. Ecstasy is beyond the self (ego, personality). Beyond egoic limitations, to be with choiceless awareness.

pleasure and pain exist. they occur. seeking pleasure excessively seems to compensate a lack of feeling alive. thus, it triggers the enhancement of the complimentary experience, pain.
if this bipolar movement becomes too exhausting, we drop into a state of grey, a loss of sensing, a state of depression and confusion.
in a way, we were already confused before we even started the vicious circle we become obsessed with and took for life.

Pleasure and pain comes and goes, seeking pleasure and escaping pain has become an addictive routine of life. Without understanding our own mind we should not try abstain from pleasure, as it is not the solution. Remaining in it can we see neutrally what it does?

Acc to theory of evolution
Animals live for 2 purpose sex and survival cause that's how life continues
But being a human is a different story ,
