Yes, Cam Coleman was the story. There are two more talented freshman WRs arriving in the summer that might contribute also. Especially 6’3” speedster Perry Thompson. Jay Fair is more of a slot receiver that is not physical enough to be able to make those deep 50/50 balls. Outside receiver was the biggest weakness with last year’s team, but hopefully the freshman will change that.
Great analysis. I think the player in the yellow jersey was Sam Jackson V, a transfer from Cal. He was they're starting QB last year. He also played with Thorne in HS.
Thorne is year 4. He put up 3000 in his freshman season and was in the Heisman talks by the end of the season. He had 2 NFL receivers and 2 really good TE/Rec. hybrids in the redzone AND a solid running game. We will be much better than we looked in the run game and we still got 2 studs otw. The slots will command respect as well……then there’s Fairweather. If Thorne can spread it around we could exceed expectations. My personal expectations is 8-5/9-4. Schedule is more favorable too than usual. We’re going to be a good football club. If these young men learn how to win the close ones we could be better than we think. Who knows with AU though 😂. I’d NEVER bet on an AU game unless it’s at night in JH.

Really good job on the analysis. You laugh needs to be patented. It’s so unique. Auburn finally has a stud at receiver. He could go down as the best receiver at auburn since terry Beasley . The huge difference is Beasley played with a heisman winning quarterback while Coleman is playing with a weak armed inaccurate quarterback.
@@powerhoursecyeah duke was a big physical monster but he couldn’t create separation and get over the top like Coleman can. Duke was a possession receiver who could eat over the middle but he wasn’t running by anyone.
@@autkyeah we’re not any better at qb this year but we are better at receiver which will make the passing game better. Who knows. Maybe walker white will take a big jump this summer. He’s by far our most talented , biggest arm, biggest frame, strongest and fastest qb in the room.
Auburn is going to be a threat no matter the quarterback situation this year. They don't have to have the best offense to win games since their defense, with an exception against a few teams from last season, is always solid. I just hope that we see improvement, no matter the size, in the offensive production. Cam Coleman is a dog. KLS is most likely Auburn's best player entering the season but we will see how this plays out since the freeze 4 is all on campus now. If they can pull out at least an 8 win season more pieces will fall into place. The 2025 commits so far already have Auburn in the top 8 with rumors of JUJU who is currently the best quarterback in that class going to pick AU over USC.
@@powerhoursec I'll guess LSU since Missouri hasn't beaten us at home. I have family members and plenty of friends who are LSU fans (originally from South Mississippi). I have enjoyed some great LSU games at Auburn. I've never been to DV, and am a little afraid bc I've heard the horror stories. It is good to hear unbiased, non-Auburn commentary. Good job.
I don’t think the defense is as good as it looked, and I don’t think that the offense is as abysmal as they looked. It’s all in what the coaches wanted to see. I just don’t think the placement of those balls by a quarterback going into his 4th year of big time college football experience is what any coach wants to see. I really only watched the highlights.
Freeze's inability to move on from Thorne drives me mad. He ain't it and I don't know how obvious it needs to be for us to ride with someone else. He showed the exact same issues in the spring game he showed all of last season. Which is pointed out well in this video.

Be positive,Thorne isn't as bad as you think he is. He had to split reps with Robby Ashford until mid-season,adjust to a new system, didn't have an OL and no weapons, along with a mediocre play caller in the offensive coordinator. I don't think all of Auburn problem's should fall directly in Thorne's lap. Let's put the last year's season behind us a let's focus on what's ahead 😁 War Eagle 🦅

Other than that, i think Thorne will have a pretty solid senior year.

Even though I have yet to see Thompson practice on a college field, I've seen some of his highschool games and he looks nearly identical to Cam Coleman if not better,except he's slightly faster and bigger. He's catching the 1 on 1 balls and he has pretty good vision. I remember seeing a 5 star beside Thompson's name at one point. I'm not a star guy, all that goes out the window when you put on a college uniform. I will say Cam Coleman looked impressive in the A-Day game, like he's been playing on a college level for years 😯😳. I think Perry Thompson will be an instant impact and the best WR from the Freeze four squad.
Hank Brown has the best arm, PT is mid and cant throw deep, throws crap balls 50 percent of the time and expects wrs to bail him.out and so do his apologists. WW has a great arm just needs reps...HG can throw 5-10 yard throws sometimes...get a live rush he checks out and folds like a chair just like Thorne.

As a Bama fan you should know that great WRs can make a half ass QB look great Mac Jones or hell even Tua. Given Tua was actually a good qb. But like I said Mac Jon's, aj mcaaron , blake sims ect. all where mediocre QBs with great WRs. Cam,perry,Bryce and Malcom will do the same for auburn QBs.
