About time. I just hope Apple makes this option available to QuickTime as well. I hated that I needed to rely on 3rd party software like Blackhole etc.
Exactly what I was looking for. I was surprised that when I downloaded the latest version of OBS, I was able to record desktop audio without any plugin. Awesome!
I don't normally write many comments but thank you for this! short and easy to follow.
Thank you so much for the video, that is what I was looking for!!!
Thank you! That was very helpful. :)
Is this still all the same in 30.1.2? I'm on latest version on MacOS 11.4 but I do not have these macOS audio/screen capture options.
You need MacOS 13 or newer for it to work
same
@@TheEmerger turns out I had to update the OS
@@SponkCS ahh, okay. I was on version 11 also. I'm updating mine now. Thanks!
@@TheEmerger did it work after update ?
Hey bud...I got caught out with this after the update...whats the difference between screen capture and audio capture....they both seem to record the desktop audio?
thank you this tutorial, very direct to the point and easy to follow
In this particular video demonstration, you happily recorded microphone voice and system voice I wanted to record screen also microphone voice also and system voice also is it possible and of course I am on Macintosh laptop the latest one
Great video, thank you!
thankssss
Does this mean the blackhole plugin isn't needed anymore?
I spent years in college using software like Loopback audio, which, until yesterday had me stressed out because I feel it overloads the CPU somehow AND Hijack. Today I opened OBS for the new update in Mac OS X and noticed the “MacOS Screen Capture” option, I was so skeptical that I looked up this video and confirmed that it was indeed a reality. LOL
I almost bought a Windows OS computer to stream and podcast more easily!
I just downloaded this (for Mac Intel) and I can see the MAC OS screen capture but not the audio capture. Is this not available on all versions?
Nevermind! I figured out what the issue is - my laptop is too old for this sound capture. (I run 12, it requires 13.) Thank you anyway, leaving this comment up just incase someone else has the same issue.
@@kmac648thank you! figured this out as well, you saved me quite some time researching
@@kmac648 thanks i have the same problem
thank you!!!
thanks, man
Is there any chance I could just pay you to just record the audio for me and send it to me?
Cool.
I thought it always recorded audio as well as video 🤷♂️
Hi! I apologize for the indiscreet question! Can you please tell me if American English is your native language? It's just that American English pronunciation is usually difficult to hear for non-native speakers, because Americans kind of "chew" the words. British pronunciation, for example, is a little easier to hear. And your pronunciation is even more intelligible than British pronunciation. So I would like to know if you are a native American and a native speaker from birth?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you. No English is my second language.
@@Howfinity Thank you again for your quick response!
Good luck to you!
Nothing is free. What do they get from you? Is this also spyware?
It’s an open source project. I’ve used it for 8 years. No issues and I haven’t paid a dime
