No one ever mentioned that Countach driver is incredibly good driver, noticed from his hand skin he may not be young, but he is the right captain for the Countach. Thank you for showing us what Countach was really like back 40 years ago. The down shift skills and the cornering skills, a great driver was probably born during the countach era.
Just drove a Countach yesterday, this makes me smile so much because I know how the car drives and feels, going at those crazy speeds would have felt absolutely amazing! I only hit 80MPH at best haha.
I suspect that's because you haven't drive one and have the option of a more modern car. If you had to own only one car and your choice was these two most would, (and certainly should if sensible), choose the Nissan.
Obviously a mid-80's car isn't going to win against a modern GT-R... Guess what though, GT-R will never be worth more than a fraction of what the Countach is worth
Nice to see that old warrior running that well. I'm a bit surprised it looked that fast going down the tarmac after so many decades of unnecessary debate between patriotic car company fans.... it's all relative and a matter of what you want, exactly. I see a lot of good sports on here recognizing the Countach for the important car it is, and not many punk relativity-challeneged idiots trying to compare it to newer cars, thankfully. they are a waste of time with their total lack of understanding time and changes. Some people don't even get that in 30 years or more of any direction, you'll have changes so that the comparisons or a moot point. Like comparing a 1940's sporting coupe of some sort against a "horseless carriage" of the 1910's.... other than engineering curiosity, why compare? Now we do have some amazing cars for their time, such as the McClaren F1, and some old muscle cars from 40 years ago will surprise with their 1/4 mile ability... but there's really no comparison overall. It's stupid to be concerned with it. The Countach is amazing.
They have to remake this car, just for the sake of it! A new improved modern version but looks more or likely the same, there is a google search of someones concept art of a new Countach that you should have a look at!

something about a countach. it was a car that i literally dreamed of owning as a kid. today oh, yeah if i ever struck rich i would have a countach in my collection. i also have a soft spot for camaros and trans ams. i have a 1996 Z28 because literally its all i can afford. it's still a 285 hp v8 RWD performance car and at $3k they are steal. 155 MPH car for less then 4 grand, actually they a cheap for what they are

I know the Italians can make some real bad mistakes when building cars but this time they put the icing on the cake, the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the bloody car.

4.8 litre actually (you always round up with cc) The Countach started using the wide rear tyres and arches in 1978 with the LP400S
