Good effort Ed, you must have an insanely impressive collection of hammered silver coins. You have found more in the last 2 weeks than I have found in 2022. Good luck for 2023, may there be many more, and who knows, maybe a gold one!!
Cheers Gareth, it is a modest collection but is growing especially since moving to this area, I think they just had more money to throw around 😂 Good luck to you too, I have the feeling 2023 is going to be a good year 😁👍
Congratulations on a cracking hunt Ed, obviously a prime strip of land! My favourite time to detect with the crisp conditions & soft’ish ground! Lovely cut half, and always like finding a crotal bell….I really like the spark plug too! Thanks for sharing & best wishes for Xmas! Marcus
Thanks Marcus, sometime the areas you least expect are the best 🙂 The spark plug was pretty cool, I really like that too once I found out what it was 😂 Good luck and hope you have a good Christmas too 😁👍
I really am envious, not just of your amazing fields, but of the fact that you can detect year round. The ground here in Colorado is going to be frozen till at least March. 😫
Good to see you Ed, lovely day too😊. Your two best finds made it so worthwhile, the buckle and the cut coin, great job. I still get that tingle thinking who was the person who last touched them. Hope you have a merry first Christmas in your new home and more good finds in 2023🎄🎄🎄😊
Thanks so much Jane, I always wonder if the person got into trouble for losing the coins, like they were on the way to the shop and couldn't get their lunch or something like that 😂 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too 😁👍
Your videos are so relaxing and joyful. Thanks for a little warmth on a bitterly cold Alberta, Canada night (-29 celsius; feels like -43 celsius with the windchill🥶)
Cheers Brad, yes it was the Saturday before the snow, I am usually out in most weather but didn't venture out into the snow 😂 it is my first Richard and my nicest cut half so very pleased with that one. 👍
Well done Ed on another successful hunt 🎉that cut half was a corker! 😊but my fave was the buckle 👍 Have a wonderful 🎄 Christmas and a Happy New Year 🥳 Julie ❤
Nice day out Ed, that half hammered is great, you have a great knowledge of the finds, and the way you make your vids, makes me feel I'm there. Have a great Christmas. Looking forward to what 2023 unearths!! 🌲😀
Thanks mate, for here I used field 1 and as there was a lot of iron I had iron bias on 1 and recovery speed on about 5 or 6 I think and just went nice and slow, it seemed to pick things out nicely 👍
By law we only have to report anything classed as treasure (300+ years and over 10% precious metal, for coins 2 or more) so non of these have to be reported but there is a scheme at the British museum called the Portable antiquities scheme and they record any finds over 300+ years old so I will probably get the older finds recorded with them to add to the history of the area as I think it is important to do 😊
Great day out, with some beautiful find’s, take care have a merry Christmas 🎄🎄thank you for sharing 👍👏❤️
Cheers Chris, I hope you have a nice holiday too 😁👍
@@VintageParagonUk thank you ❤️🎄

It did look like a lovely day! We enjoy seeing the landscape and area. Nice finds. Thanks for the video. Suzy
Thanks Suzy, I try not to show too much so not to give away where I am but if it is fields and trees I think it would be difficult to recognise 😂👍
Great video as always Ed you found some great finds🥰🍀

Thanks, Oh wow that is too cold, we had -12 degrees and 6 inches of snow for 1 week and that was enough for me 😂
@@VintageParagonUk ☃️☕❄️🥶
Nicely done Ed. I'm guessing you made it out just before the snow? The cut coins are always satisfying... they remind us that we're not missing much.
