I’m so happy for you Ed, 🎉what a superb permission, I hope the landowner was really chuffed with all your finds and let’s you have more land ❤Take care, Julie 🙋♀️🤗👍
I find that giving over a selection of finds to the owner comes across well sometimes. People love to have a few bits sitting on a window cill to remind them of past history in their area. Quite new to your channel but enjoy your calm demenour and refusal to rush around like a headless chicken.
Thanks and welcome 🙂 I am glad you are enjoying my videos, I always show my finds to the owners and if they take a liking to something I give it to them but most of the time they aren't too interested. Good luck if you go out searching 👍
Alright my luveeeer! Thanks Craig that is extremely kind of you, I am a long time viewer on my personal account way before I even thought about starting my own channel. I am so glad you like my videos enough to give me a mention, it means a lot coming from you 😊👍
You find the greatest treasures! ...as always, I so appreciate your editing... Love your new bell for your Christmas tree! Looking forward to you, hopefully 🤞returning to that field!
It was really close for me, any other day and the bell would have had it! Permissions is the hardest part for most people I think but just gotta keep at it 🙂👍
aha well I think I have moved to a bit of a better area, before I was walking miles before even a signal, I am sure there will be some good spots in your 2500 acres, good luck 😁👍
Wow. I can't believe you found all these things in one day! I love the bell. Was the lady suprised? I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your finds
What a hunt! I really hope she lets you continue to detect and expands your access. Have you ever thought of showing some of your collections of finds? Like "these are some of my best crotal bells" or whatever. Given the awesome stuff you find, you must have a hell of a collection of cool stuff.
Thanks, perhaps I will do a video like that one day but I think my collection is still quite modest compared to a lot of detectorist. Do you think others will be interested?
@@VintageParagonUk You could always ask. I have seen people ask other detectorists and mudlarks about their collections. Perhaps you could put in a collection related to a find at the end of one of your videos and ask people if they want to see more in other vids.
@@VintageParagonUk I did an "HQ" section on them once... but i am far too polite to hijack your film and put in a link! 😁 But there is a very good website by a guy who knows a lot about them and is a good bloke as i discussed a coin I had found with him... I'll see if I can dig it out...

Great finds and videos. I'm looking for treasures in Finland, but now we have frozen ground and snow, so I'm waiting for spring. I write with Google Translate.
Well those were an interesting range of finds from a long expanse of history. With a bit of luck you can return and fill your finds cabinet. The hammered was a bit special though.
Well done, great range of finds from a small area , very promising if you can get back on .I found my first sterling imitation penny this year , John 1 of brabant , great to find.
Just wondering…what if the landlady wants to keep something you find? Or if they give you permission anything you find is yours to keep? Love the old coins and the bell sounds beautiful.
Most of the time they are just interested to see what I find but don't usually want anything. Earlier in the year I found a stunning medieval lyre shape buckle and the land owners liked that so I gave it to them, after all it is nice for the history to stay where it was lost 🙂
Pahaha, I was just about to leave so it was a nice surprise for me when I was cold and tired 😂😂😂 having moved 2 times in the last 2 years it has been hard to get to know where the tips are but when we start getting more day light I will put more effort into finding one as I do miss it 👍
Hi edd, lovely vid thanks, presentation was great. Regards Kelvin 😀
Hey Kelvin, I am glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Hi Ed, great finds again. I love that the bell still rings!! Effing brilliant 👏 👌 🙌 👍
it is great isnt it, one of the best i have found
I’m so happy for you Ed, 🎉what a superb permission, I hope the landowner was really chuffed with all your finds and let’s you have more land ❤Take care, Julie 🙋♀️🤗👍
Thanks Julie, she is about 70 and wants to have a go at detecting so I think that is a win 😁
@@VintageParagonUk haha yes indeed, something similar here too 🤣
Wow, that first coin is awesome, and that rose farthing is so tiny.
Thanks Tina, the rose farthings are great to find, they are really small coins 🙂
That was an outstanding session Ed! 👍 Despite the scarcity and condition of the long cross, that beautiful crotal bell steals it for me.
Cheers Brad, it was a cracking afternoon, it is the best crotal bell that I have found too and cleaned up great. It is on the Christmas tree now 😂👍
Such great stuff, well done Ed.
Thanks 😊

I think the bell is my favorite this week, good luck on getting more permissions. That is the hardest part of the sport for me.

Another great hunt Ed! Congrats on some wonderful finds!!! 👍👍
Thanks Ray, always good to find a nice selection 👍
Thanks for showing your adventure, hope that permission works out for you and you get to show us more 👍🇨🇦
Thanks, and I have returned there but you will have to wait until next week to see what I found 😊
Loved the thimble last week but the crotal bell was even better, well done Ed 👍
Thanks mate, I do love a good ringer 😁
I can not watch-king Midas any more if you get my meaning. I have 2500 archers to detect on and have found one hammered .

Fabulous finds, Ed. Loved the sound of the bell. What treasures! I wonder if the pointy bit was the tip of a walking cane or umbrella 🤷♀️
Thanks Karen, oh I didn't think about that, is it too pointy for a horse one? 😂
